"A fresh, high-quality piece of animal meat. This stuff isn't easy to come by, so savor it. Cook it to recover more hearts."
— In-game description

The Raw Prime Meat is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It can be found by Link by hunting certain large animals. Raw Prime Meat is one of the ingredients that spawns on one of the tables in the Dining Hall in Hyrule Castle. It is a curative item that restore Link's Heart Containers by refilling one Heart Container and a half. Link can cooked it to recover more hearts. It is "Prime" grade animal meat making it the second highest quality animal meat with only Raw Gourmet Meat surpassing it in terms of quality. However it is more common than either grade as many animal species drop Raw Prime Meat though animals that drop it tend to be harder to hunt than animals that drop Raw Meat with wolves and bears being the most dangerous. Animals native to cold climates tend to yield high grade "Prime" and "Gourmet" grade meat as they tend to build up body fat to insulate themselves from the cold. Similar to Raw Meat, it resembles a slab of meat, only it is significantly thicker. Raw Bird Thigh is the poultry equivalent to Raw Prime Meat as it is "Prime" grade poultry.

Link can acquire Raw Prime Meat from Mountain Bucks he kills during the Deer Hunting mini-game though it must be collected during the mini-game which can cut into Link's hunting time. However the meat can be sold for 15 Rupees apiece thus Link can make money selling Raw Prime Meat acquired while Deer Hunting. Link can purchase Raw Prime Meat from the travelling butcher Mezer and the travelling chef Stamm.
