Ring is the default weapon type moveset used by Wizzro in Hyrule Warriors & Hyrule Warriors Legends. It is described as a cursed ring whose dark powers have been amplified by absorbing the essence of its owners through the ages and condenses the souls of the deceased into a single, monstrous spirit. As a result, it has a Darkness Elemental Attribute and grants its wielder the ability manipulate dark energy and summon monsters resembling Moas and Wallmasters. His default Level 1 Ring is the Blue Ring. Interestingly, unlike most playable characters, Wizzro does not wield his default Level 1 weapon when encountered during the story, instead, he wields his Level 2 weapon, the Red Ring. He is even depicted wearing the Red Ring in his promotional artwork.

Wizzro also drops a Gold Material called Wizzro's Ring, which is depicted as having a red gem.

However, in Hyrule Warriors Legends, he wears his default Blue Ring instead indicating that Red Ring appearing on Wizzro when fought in the story of Hyrule Warriors was an oversight which was later corrected during the development of Hyrule Warriors Legends.
