- "You picked up a Rupoor! That means you've lost 10 Rupees. And that's a little bit sad."
- — In-game description
Rupoors, also known as Black Rupees, are recurring items from the Legend of Zelda series. They are black-tinted Rupees that drain Rupees from any person unfortunate enough to pick one up. Rupoors have been claimed by series creator Shigeru Miyamoto to be the "evilest item in all of Hyrule."

Appearances
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords
Rupoors occasionally appear when grass or bushes are cut. If Link touches one, several Rupees, the value of which is determined by his current total, will fly out of his pockets and scatter around him. For the most part, Link has the opportunity to reclaim his Rupees; however, it is possible for them to land on an area of land he cannot reach, or in lava or water.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Rupoors come in two sizes: small ones, which drain 10 Rupees from Link, and large ones, which drain 50 Rupees. Whenever Link obtains a Rupoor, he frowns (instead of his usual smile when obtaining a new item), and the "item found" music sounds heavily distorted in a comical fashion. Rupoors are found in certain areas throughout the World of the Ocean King, although rather infrequently. A prominent location in which they appear is Harrow Island, where they are commonly found hidden amongst other values of Rupees along with Treasure Charts to try and decrease Link's winnings.
On one of the floors of the Ghost Ship, Link discovers two chests, one of which contains a Rupoor. One of the Diabolical Cubus Sisters tells Link to open the left chest, which is the one that contains a Rupoor and summons a Reapling. On the Isle of the Dead, Link finds a whole maze full of Rupoors, guarded by Keese, making it difficult to pass. At the end of the maze are several Rupees and assorted Ship Parts.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Rupoors are found when playing the Thrill Digger mini-game. If unearthed, one Rupoor will drain ten Rupees from the amount Link has amassed up to that point during a mini-game session. They also appear if Link shoots the dark-colored Rupee Ore on the walls of the Thrill Digger game room with any form of the Bow or Slingshot. Regular Rupees can also be converted into Rupoors, among other denominations of Rupee, by pouring Glittering Spores on them.
Etymology
The name "Rupoor" is a portmanteau of the words "Rupee" and "poor"
