"A mushroom that can grow almost anywhere but prefers ceilings and sheer cliffs. Cook it before eating to temporarily increase your movement speed."
Hyrule Compendium

Rushrooms are Materials from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Their appearance is a pastel-ish purple, and they resemble other mushrooms as far as shape and texture goes. They are curative items that restore Link's health by refilling half a Heart Container. Link can cook with them and other ingredients to produce various dishes which temporarily increase movement speed, such as the Hasty Mushroom Skewer. They can be commonly found in the Gerudo Highlands and Hyrule Ridge regions, on the sides of sheer cliffs which must be climbed in order to collect them. They can also be blown off the sides of cliffs with bombs or shot off with arrows. Link can also buy Rushrooms from the Spore Store in Korok Forest for 12 Rupees. They can also be found growing in other regions of Hyrule, however this is less common.

Quest[]

At the Gerudo Canyon Stable, Pirou asks Link to bring him 55 Rushrooms, leading to the "Rushroom Rush!" side quest. Pirou will reward Link with a Diamond after Link trades all 55 Rushrooms to him. After completing the side quest, Pirou will pay twice the market value (330 Rupees, as 55 Rushrooms normally sell for 165 Rupees) for each bundle of 55 Rushrooms that Link gives him.
