The Rusty Halberd is an item in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a polearm that has rusted after prolonged exposure to the elements thus it has low durability however its base attack power is greater than the Boko Spear and even the Traveler's Spear, though the Traveler's Spear has greater durability.
Like other "Rusty" weapons, it can be refreshed into better Spears by feeding it to Rock Octoroks when they are sucking in air, which will cause them to chew it up then spit out a better spear. This allows Link to obtain stronger spears such as Soldier's Spear, Knight's Halberd, and rarely Royal Halberds.
One spawns next to the flag pole in Hateno Village. The ones found in Hyrule Castle tend to have weapon bonuses that make them more valuable as weapons especially if they have an Attack Up or Durability Up bonus.
