The Salvager Trousers are an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are a thematic leg armor inspired by Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It grants Swim Speed Up.

Rex's costume
Upon an update (November 9th 2017) game update installation and after the side quest "Collaboration: Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is triggered, Link is guided to find and discover the "Salvager" treasures, three new Treasure Chests containing the "Rex's costume".
It is obtained from a special Treasure Chest which falls from the sky in the form of a red shooting star that appears when Link is standing on the southeast portion of Hebra Peak in the Hebra Mountains region at night. The shooting star crash lands on a cliff near an Updraft southeast of Hebra Peak. The chest emits a column of red light similar to a crashed Star Fragment making it easy to locate even in poor visibility conditions and features a Star Fragment symbol on its lid. After crashing, the Treasure Chest will remain at the impact site (respawn there if it is moved with Magnesis) until its contents are removed.
