Santa is a character mentioned in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. When Link enters Holly's house via the chimney due to her front door being blocked by snow, she thinks that he is Santa. After she realizes that he is not Santa, however, she gives Link the shovel and instructs him to clear the snow from her walkway.
Due to the season being winter and judging by the response Link gets after sliding down Holly's chimney, it seems that Santa is the same as Santa Claus, a character from real world mythology. If true, he is one of the few characters to date who are taken directly from the real world and placed in the Legend of Zelda universe, although some characters have been based on real world characters.
