"You got Scent Seeds! Their smell attracts monsters. Open your Seed Satchel to use them."
— In-game description
A Scent Seed

Scent Seeds are items that appear in both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. These items are stored in the Seed Satchel along with other types of seeds. Scent Seeds are spherical in shape and give off a smell that attracts enemies to them. This can be used to lure a group of enemies away from Link, thus making it easier for him to kill them. When fired from an item like the Seed Shooter or the Slingshot, Scent Seeds can damage enemies and knock them back.

In Oracle of Ages, there are two Scent Trees; one must be grown by Link and the Tokay on Crescent Island in the past. Once Link has obtained a Scent Seedling, it can be planted in an area of soil on the northern side of the island. Upon returning to the present, the Scent Seedling has become a fully-grown Scent Tree. Scent Seeds are needed for Link to be able to get back his original items from Tokay Traders without trading an item back to them. The other Scent Tree can be found in Ambi's Palace in the past.

The Scent Tree in Oracle of Seasons can be found northwest of the gym owned by Blaino in North Horon. Scent Seeds only grow in the spring season.
