The Shield is a Shield from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. It is the default item that all Links receive upon entering a level. Shields can also be found on some Item Podiums. Whenever Link obtains another weapon his Shield is left on the Item Podium from which he received the previous weapon.

Shields can be used to block most enemy attacks. Using a Shield is the most effective way of flipping over Spiked Beetles, leaving their vulnerable underbelly exposed.

The Shield has the same emblem as the Hero's Shield used in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and the Small Shield used in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, but is blue in color.
