Song Stones are objects from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. They are similar in appearance to small stone rockets, with a hole in their center. When Link first approaches them music emits from the hole in the center. Using the Spirit Flute, Link can copy the song it plays. Once a song has been successfully learned, the Stone will fly away to the sky, not to appear again. The Song Stones' appearance and rocketing method are similar to the Gossip Stones from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which are also stones with eyes that rocket into the air if they are hit by bombs. However, unlike the Gossip Stones of Ocarina of Time, they reappear after flying away.

- "If you're on the same map square as a Song Stone, you will have the opportunity to receive an Item Card of your choosing. Song Stones disappear after one use but will reappear after a certain number of battles. Make the most of every Song Stone you come across to keep your Item Cards fully stocked!"
- — Song Stone Tutorial description
As part of the Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks DLC, Song Stones appear on certain map squares of the Grand Travel Map. Accessing the search menu and pressing select on a Song Stone square will allow the player to receive an Item Card of their choosing, however they will only an Item Card that they currently possess (the Item Card received will be the same one that is highlighted in green when pressing select on a search square with a Song Stone). Basically it allows players to obtain extras of any Item Card they currently possess.
