Spoone is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He is a Hylian traveler and doctor who travels between the Riverside Stable in Hyrule Field and the Wetland Stable in Lanayru Wetlands to treat sick and injured people.
Due to his occupation, he travels around by Horse to get around quickly and avoid injury as he notes an injured doctor is of no use to anyone, though he carries a Traveler's Sword and Fisherman's Shield for protection though tries to avoid fighting monsters as much as possible. Due to travelling a lot he occasionally suffers from a sore back and notes his the cold climate of Mount Lanayru is too much for his old bones. He often rests when he has no one to treat though presumably provides a valuable service to travelers and stable workers treating them when they are sick or injured which is invaluable a century after the Great Calamity given the dangers posed by monsters and limited access to services such as medical care as most people are forced to treat themselves and there loved ones injuries and illnesses using folk medical knowledge passed down to them such as the Gerudo Malena's knowledge that Molduga Guts can be used to create medicine to cure her sick Hylian husband or learned of on their own.
As a doctor, he is apparently a well read individual as he notes that through medical research he learned of a miraculous panacea called Naydra's Scale which according to legend can cure any aliment and can be obtained at the Spring of Wisdom on Mount Lanayru. Additionally he also read a legend of the Dragon Spirit Naydra is actually a spirit living on Mount Lanayru that takes the form of a Dragon which unbeknownst to him is actually true as the Hyrule Compendium states Naydra is the Spirit of Ice that takes the form of a giant dragon. Due to his medical research into Naydra's scale and the springs he also knowledgeable about the legends regarding the three sacred springs of Power, Courage, and Wisdom noting all legends regarding them state that the springs call to the dragon scales though notes no one has been able to decipher what that means Spoone himself included.
He also occasionally overhears useful information in the course of making his rounds which he will occasionally share with other travelers he meets such as Link. However he also enjoys a good joke as he tells Link the "Cuccourt secret" joke which ironically provides useful information on Cuccos but starts off by the teller pretending to have overhead a "court secret" of the Royal Family of Hyrule then telling them a secret about Cucco's laying Bird Eggs when startled though the useful information it provides presumably makes up for this.
