The Subrosian Volcanoes is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. Located in the north part of the subterranean country of Subrosia, Subrosian Volcanoes consists of three active volcanoes.

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

When Link visits the Temple Remains, he finds a Subrosian Portal in the southwestern portion of the area that leads to the base of the Subrosian Volcanoes. Here, Link can enter a cave below the mountains, where he finds a Subrosian throwing various items into a lava pit, attempting to cause an eruption within the volcanoes. If Link throws a bomb into the lava pit, the volcanoes do just that; lava spews all the way into the overworld of Holodrum, flooding the Temple Remains. As devastating as this "accident" is, however, it in turn helps Link progress further in his adventure; with the Temple Remains damaged, Link can effectively reach a chamber containing another Subrosian Portal. This portal leads to an area near the Sword & Shield Maze, the eighth and final dungeon in the game. Interestingly, the exterior of the dungeon is a volcano as well.
