The Sunshroom is an item in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a curative item that restore Link's health by refilling half of a Heart Container. It is a "Spicy" mushroom Link can use it in cooking to create "Spicy" food dishes. Link can also roast it with fire or volcanic heat to create a Toasty Sunshroom. Also like Spicy Peppers, it produces an updraft when roasted.
Related Side Quests[]
In Hateno Village the side quest "Sunshroom Sensing" acts as a tutorial given by Symin to teach Link how to use the Sheikah Sensor + after he has Purah upgrade it. The quest requires Link to use the Sheikah Sensor + to find a Sunshroom behind the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and take its picture. After showing the picture to Symin he asks Link to hunt down three Sunshrooms for Symin who will reward Link with three Hearty Truffles. It is also the answer to Walton's third riddle during the "Riddles of Hyrule" side quest which Link must present to Walton.
