Tailpasarans are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They are leech-like monsters found exclusively Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly. They spend most of their time passive, embedded within the flesh of their host. Upon sensing prey, however, they emerge and proceed to attack with their three-split mandibles and electrically charged tails. They are most easily defeated with the use of the Boomerang, but Link can also defeat them with his Kokiri Sword; when he does this however, he will take damage upon making contact. It should also be noted that when they are burrowing they can easily be defeated if Link throws Princess Ruto at them.
Interestingly, the aforementioned three-split mandibles appear as the shape of the Triforce when a Tailpasaran is viewed from the front. Whether or not this was an intentional reference to the legendary relic is not known.
