You have to obtain the Giant's Wallet by completing the Oceanside Spider House on the First Day. After collecting all the Curse Token thingies, you've gotta talk to the man at the entrance. Remember, you can only complete this on the first day - if you do it on any other, you'll only get some Rupees.

It kind of has the look of a torture device to keep somebody's eyes pried open and pupils shining red. But it's not a very effective torture device if Link can just take off the mask whenever he feels like it.
