I've been wanting to say this theory for so long. I think he might be an ancestor of Ganondorf and the Gerudo race. He has bright red hair, yellow eyes, and there would be a certain irony to a manly man like Groose begetting a race of all females. Additionally, he seems to be the only one of the main characters in SS without any influence on the greater Zelda mythos. I don't intend to convince anybody, but I just really wanted to get this off of my chest.

Interesting thought, but not especially convincing. Can't say it deserves to be on the page (not that you were necessarily implicating as such).

AuronKaizer - "Yeah, well one of my chupacabras told me that the last time Seagal came to the land of OZ he b***hslapped so many hobbits that Optimus Prime had to step in and use the force to nulify Seagals berserker rage. Then the Mogwai Gizmo and Marty McFly showed up in Bill and Ted's phone-booth and took Seagal into the future year of 2012 so he could defeat the Mayan calendar and save all of humanity from Ming the Merciless. Seagal then blasted off into space in a '64 Chevy Malibu with Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars on a quest to save the universe from the destructive forces of Space Jesus and his 12 Muppets. Moral: If you're going to lie on the internet at least put some effort into it..."

Silly MaloMart. I missed your silliness.

About that "Additionally, he seems to be the only one of the main characters in SS without any influence on the greater Zelda mythos" you said, I thought it was obvious that Groose was an ancestor of Wind Waker Pirates. Not only their music themes are very similar, but they both throw Link with a catapult.Remiel Hayabusa (talk) 18:49, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

No it would make more sense if groose was the ancestor of the people that lived in links village in the beginning of Ocarina of Time because he takes care of the forest with that old lady. Plus that tree that was planted to help the thunder dragon could be the deku tree thus further proving the point that groose is not a gerudo he's the ancestor of the short elves in links village.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.55.129.187 (talkcontribs)

While not particularly convincing, it makes more sense to theorize about Groose being a Gerudo than to do so for Telma or Jolene (though the theory is only on Telma's page)...and I'm not even going to address the pirate and Kokiri theories.

Groose's theme goes with everything. - Tsukiyomaru0 (talk) 04:36, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Aside from being aesthetically similar, it is very possible that Groose begat the Gerudos. Demise promised to haunt Link for generations. It's typically accepted that Demise became Ganondorf, or that Demise was in some way responsible for him. Maybe Demise, after being defeated, possessed Groose on some subconscious level. Zelda, as Hylia, would have detected that Groose's offspring were now damned to produce evil, and in order to slow the rise of this bloodline, cursed Groose to only produce female offspring. But Hylia's power wouldn't have negated Demise's entirely, ensuring, eventually, evil would spring from the loins of Groose. To save face, Groose forced himself into exile in what would eventually become Lanyru Desert. --98.74.184.98 16:14, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
