If it is only given a reference in one other game is it really recurring?
The never leave rule[]
The "Never leave the forest or you'll die could easily be referring to two things: 1. That the Kokiri Forrest acts as a sort of Neverland, explaining why the Kokiri never age, meaning that once they leave, they'll start aging and therefore be able to die of old age. 2. Leaving the forest and getting lost in the Lost Woods could be considered dying to the Kokiri.
Link has always looked a little like Peter Pan (wears all green, pointed ears, uses a sword, has a fairy), and Kokiri Forest has always reminded me of Neverland. That would make Zelda the equivalent of Wendy, and Ganondorf Captain Hook. Peter 10 (talk) 03:39, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
