During his boss fight, Monk Maz Koshia can be temporarily be distracted by Mighty Bananas, much like Yiga Blademasters. This continues a long-standing Zelda tradition of mundane items playing a humorous role in boss fights, such as a Bug-Catching Net being capable of deflecting Agahnim's and Demise's projectiles in A Link to the Past and Skyward Sword, respectively, Ganondorf being distracted by a Fishing Rod in Twilight Princess, Puppet Ganon's snake form being distracted by All-Purpose Bait in The Wind Waker, an Empty Bottle being used in Dead Man's Volley in Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker, and Demise being distracted by a Bug-Catching Net in Skyward Sword.
