I'm working on beating Ocarina of Time my third time now. I've beaten the water temple within an hour or two, haven't beaten biggoron's sword quest yet, so i got giant's knife, I beat Phantom Ganon in two rounds of dead man's volley, first one i got one horizontal slash in with the master sword, second one i jump-slashed him with giant's knife, broke giant's knife, and killed him. Post Scriptum: Until I read the article again quite recently, I didn't know that there actually was a way to distinguish between the real phantom and the faker. -- I am Darth Malignus, Jen'ari! Come to my talk plz!!!

Theory found[]

I just found this theory (http://www.screwattack.com/news/lost-years-agahnims-origins-phantom-ganon-part-2) and wanted to know what you guys think. PyroGothNerd (talk) 01:06, August 27, 2014 (UTC)

The main problem I see is the incorrect assumption that OoT Ganon and ALttP Ganon are distinct individuals, so OoT Ganon is dead; the whole theory pretty much hinges on this. From Hyrule Historia, we know this isn't true. It explicitly states OoT Ganon was revived in ALttP, and it was apparently possible to enter the Dark World from Hyrule even if there was no way out (and we don't even know if there was no way out in general, only that there was no way out for Ganon), so Ganon's death is not necessary for others to enter the Dark World. The manual for ALttP is cited as the primary evidence for these claims despite the use of ZW's timeline page, and the text from HH makes it clear that the manual has been retconned by now.
