It isn't really too descriptive or imaginative in its current form.

"Six Medallions" isn't really all that creative. Perhaps "Medallions of the Sages" or something like that?

I don't know if anyone has noticed that before, or if it has been written somewhere but...

have you guys noticed that each medallion has its own "guardian people" and are handed to link by a representative of that people?

- the light medallion, guarded by the hylians (temple of time/hyrule castle town) given by rauru, a hylian. - the forest medallion, guarded by the kokiri, given by saria - the fire medallion, guarded by the gorons, given by darunia - the water medallion, guarded by the zoras, given by ruto - the shadow medallion, guarded by the sheikah (kakariko being originally a sheikah village), given by impa - the spirit medallion, guarded by the gerudo, given by nabooru
