The Tanagar Canyon Course is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a Boom Bam Golf course located in Tanagar Canyon in the Tabantha Frontier region of Hyrule. It is owned and operated by the Goron Modar.

History

Modar created the course some point after he rolled down into Tanagar Canyon. It is suggested that Modar is the Goron from the local legend of the Boom-Bam Ghost of Tabantha Great Bridge who locals assumed had died when he fell off the bridge and became the Boom-Bam Ghost said to haunt the area. Unbeknownst to the locals, Modar apparently survived the fall thanks to his miner's hard hat and instinctively rolling into the canyon after falling off the bridge. Modar set up camp underneath the bridge and apparently created the course to play Boom Bam Golf to alleviate his boredom. The "Boom Bam" sound made by his playing was attributed to his mythical ghost by locals at Tabantha Bridge Stable including Banji's son Kenyo who became fascinated with the legend.

Link discovers the course while exploring Tanager Canyon and meets Modar who is alive and well. Modar offers to let Link play Boom Bam Golf. Link can also find a hidden Korok atop the hole's flag pole.
