The Legend of Zelda Comic First Issue

Cover for the first issue of the Legend of Zelda comic

The Legend of Zelda comics were a short-lived series of comic books produced by the publishing company Valiant Comics.

The stories are set after the events of The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Ganon is once again alive, has stolen the Triforce of Power, and still schemes to steal the other pieces of the Triforce and rule Hyrule. The comics somewhat mirror the animated series in terms of Link and Princess Zelda's relationship; Link is continually angling for a kiss and in one issue declares that he loves Zelda, who loves him back but refuses to acknowledge it.
