The Thunderspear is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is an elemental spear filled with the power of thunder to shock and cause electricity damage to enemies. Like other elemental weapons, it must recharge itself in order to produce its element and becomes little more than a normal spear while it is recharging. It has a base attack power of 22, though this can be increased by current weapon bonuses. Its electric damage is also increased when it raining or used in wet areas. As with the other elemental weapons in Breath of the Wild it's high durability and magical effects make it a good backup to the Master Sword during it's recharge period.
Link can take its picture with the Camera Rune to add it to the Hyrule Compendium, where it is listed as entry number 303 in the Compendium's Equipment section. It can be found in Hyrule Field and Hyrule Ridge regions according to its common locations section in the Hyrule Compendium. One can also be obtained from a Treasure Chest in the Shae Katha Shrine. They can occasionally be found stuck in the bodies of Stalnox, which will drop them once they are killed and will respawn when the Stalnox is resurrected each Blood Moon.
