"There's a rumor that the ocean is getting weird 'cause there's trouble off shore at Great Bay Temple. — Tijo

Tijo is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. He is a Zora and the drummer for the Zora band, The Indigo-Go's. He resembles a manta ray, which marks him as one of the few Zora with distinctive features of varying marine life. The beat that Tijo plays on his drums is a reference to the cave music from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Biography[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

Residing in Zora Hall, Tijo is the roommate of the band's guitarist, Mikau. Prior to the events of the game, Tijo attempted to climb the ladder to Mikau's section of the room, but the ladder broke on account of Tijo's weight, forcing Link to use a Hookshot to access Mikau's part of the room. As a result, he promises Link (whom he believes to be Mikau) to go on a diet to make it up to him.

Tijo discloses to Link that he has made a connection between the recent troubles in Great Bay and singer Lulu's unusual behavior as of late. According to legend, when trouble befalls Great Bay Temple, the descendant of the Zora destined to protect the temple is also affected in a negative way; he appears to have drawn the conclusion that Lulu is the protector in question.
