"Now, no matter how far we travel from this dingy cell, our souls will be as one!"
Tingle

The Tingle Tuner is a recurring item in the Legend of Zelda series. This green device, shaped like a Game Boy Advance console, is closely related to Tingle and has various purposes.

Appearances[]

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[]

After he is rescued from the Town Jail on Windfall Island, Tingle gives Link this device. It can be used in conjunction with a Game Boy Advance linked to the Nintendo GameCube with a GBA/GC Link Cable; allowing a player or another player to control Tingle, who can help out in Link's quest with various items and commands.

Usage[]

Tingle Tuner Items

The items available to use with the Tingle Tuner

Once the Game Boy Advance has been properly connected, the GBA screen will display a map of the current area as well as a marker indicating Tingle's current location and the locations of other objects. Whoever is controlling Tingle is then given the choice of inputting commands. Tingle Bombs are one of the few commands that can be used, along with a number of pay-per-use tools. The Tingle Tuner can also be used to obtain information about the current area from Tingle, as well as uncovering secret Rupees and Fairies. Link can also collect Tingle Statues and complete a sidequest to meet Knuckle, one of Tingle's brothers.
