The Tornado Rod is an item from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It can be used to launch Link into the air, stunning nearby enemies at the same time; fire enemies may be damaged outright. If Link is positioned near a moving platform he can use the Tornado Rod to reach the platform from below. Link can rent the Tornado Rod from Ravio for 50 Rupees after Ravio has opened his shop in Link's House.
After finding all three Pendants of Virtue, Link can purchase the Tornado Rod from Ravio for 800 Rupees, allowing him to keep it even after losing all of his hearts. If Link brings ten Lost Maiamais to Mother Maiamai, she will upgrade the Tornado Rod into the Nice Tornado Rod which can stun enemies over a larger area.
