- — In-game description
The Tough Beetle is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It is an upgrade to the Quick Beetle available at the Scrap Shop in the Skyloft Bazaar. The Tough Beetle upgrade enhances both the Beetle's flight time and speed, allowing the player to hold the A button to greatly increase the Beetle's speed mid-flight.
The Tough Beetle is an upgrade of the Quick Beetle and the final upgrade of the standard Beetle, made by using three Ancient Flowers, four Amber Relics, one Blue Bird Feather, one Goddess Plume, and 50 Rupees.
Tips[]
- In some rooms in the Lanayru Mining Facility, a Timeshift Stone is required to be struck in order to activate the mechanisms in the entire room. Usually, this will also make formally still conveyer belts start moving. As Link is required to run across these fast moving contraptions, it can be a real hassle and danger to him. Using the Tough Beetle, Link can deactivate the Timeshift Stone when he needs to cross a conveyer belt. Because of the Tough Beetle's speed and stamina, it can make it to the stone from where Link is standing. After crossing the conveyer belt, Link can simply fly the Beetle back over to the Timeshift Stone and reactivate it.
