Vultures are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series.
Appearances[]
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[]
Vultures are found predominantly in the Desert of Mystery sitting atop cacti, waiting for Link to engage them. Once he has walked close enough to one, or struck at it with a weapon, the Vulture will fly around Link in a circular pattern until he defeats it, or moves to a different area of Hyrule. When Link acquires the Bombos Medallion, a Vulture is shown catching fire as a result of the Medallion's power. They are also shown accompanying the Lockpicker during the ending sequence, supposedly ruling over the desert.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures[]
Vultures act similarly to their A Link to the Past counterpart.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[]
Vultures are found in the desert in the southwestern part of Hyrule. They behave similarly to their A Link to the Past counterpart.
