Walltulas are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. Spider-like in appearance, they usually crawl on vertical surfaces, such as walls, trees, and Vines. Walltulas are named in a similar fashion to Skullwalltulas from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time; however, their appearances and movements are different. The Skullwalltula has a skull-shaped pattern on its back, hence its name. The Walltula more closely resembles a regular spider, but the pattern on its back resembles a face or skull.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[]
Walltulas can easily be defeated using the Slingshot, Gale Boomerang, or Clawshot. Link first encounters a Walltula crawling on the ladder to his house, which he must defeat to proceed. Subsequent Walltulas appear in various locations, most notably the Forest Temple.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword[]
Walltulas are seen climbing on vines. They appear to move more quickly than in Twilight Princess but they can be easily defeated with any damaging item. They attack by grabbing onto Link and biting him, forcing him to shake them off, or else the Walltula will drain Link's Stamina Gauge faster. Walltula appear mainly in Skyview Temple, though some can be found on an island inside the northeast portion Thunderhead on vines leading to a Goddess Chest. They occasionally drop Monster Claws when defeated.
