The Water of Life is a quest item from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. When Link arrives in the Harbor Town of Mido, a woman tells him that her daughter is sick, and only the Water of Life can save her.
The Water of Life is hidden within a cave in Moruge Swamp. As the cave is sealed by a boulder, Link must use the Hammer to break the boulder and enter. Water of Life itself is guarded by three Dairas. Once he has the Water of Life, Link returns to the Town of Mido and gives the woman the Water of Life. In gratitude, she leads Link to a Wise Man who teaches him the Fairy Spell.
