The Whirlwind (疾風のプロペラ, Shippū no Puropera^?, Gale Propeller) is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Found in the Forest Temple, the Whirlwind resembles a pinwheel and has a variety of purposes, including blowing out-of-reach items safely onto the ground in order to pick them up, stunning enemies, defeating enemies by blowing things toward them, dispelling Dark Matter, and using certain items such as floating crates as transportation. It can also be used to throw Phantoms possessed by Princess Zelda across chasms. To use it, the player must aim it in the direction they want the Whirlwind to blow and then blow into the Nintendo DS's microphone.

Hyrule Warriors Legends

As part of the Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Track DLC, the Whirlwind appears as an one of the Item Cards on the Grand Travels Map. When used on windmills on the Adventure Map it will reveal hidden stairways.
