The Whirlwind Sword Attack is a recurring skill in the Legend of Zelda series. After collecting ten Medals of Courage in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Link can begin the Quest for the Whirlwind Sword Attack in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Upon completing all ten riddles, Q. Bumpkin teaches Link the Whirlwind Sword Attack, which can be used in either game. It can be used by charging up the Master Sword and then rapidly pressing the B button. As a result, Link will rapidly spin around in circles while simultaneously swinging the Master Sword. Using the Whirlwind Sword Attack drains Link's Magic Meter.
The Whirlwind Sword Attack is also used by the red, blue and purple Dark Links found in the Palace of the Four Sword.
