The Wooden Bow can be obtained by Link on the Sandship inside a Treasure Chest that drops after Link defeats the mini-boss LD-002G Scervo. It functions as Link's standard bow and plays a vital role in navigating the Sandship and his battle with Tentalus. Link can upgrade it into the Iron Bow at the Scrap Shop.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild[]
- "This wooden bow may not be the most reliable for battling monsters, but it is excellent for hunting small animals."
- — In-game description
The Wooden Bow returns in Breath of the Wild though this time one of several bows that Link can equip and is no longer unbreakable. It has a base attack power of 4 though this may be increased by certain bonus. However due to its wooden construction it burns when exposed to fire or volcanic temperatures of Death Mountain, though does not attract lightning during thunderstorms. Wooden Bows can be found in Hyrule Field and West Necluda region. One also spawns behind The Curious Quiver Arrow shop in Kakariko Village which will occasionally respawn if Link leaves the area allowing Link to gain a replacement if it breaks or burns.
