The official name of this article's subject has not been released, and this name is based, entirely or partly, on conjecture. The article's name will remain thus until said information comes to light.

This article is about the sword from Twilight Princess. For the moveset used by Princess Zelda in Hyrule Warriors, see Rapier.

Zelda's Sword is a sword from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As implied by its name, it is a sword owned by Princess Zelda. The weapon is first seen in a flashback when Zelda is battling the Shadow Beasts along with her Royal Guards in the Throne Room of Hyrule Castle. A close-up of the sword is given as Princess Zelda drops it to the ground, when the leader of the shadow beasts, Zant, approaches her. This act is a symbol for the surrender of both herself and the kingdom of Hyrule.

In the final battle of the game, the sword is used again by a possessed Zelda to battle Link in the Throne Room. She uses the sword for several physical attacks, as well as magical attacks. She drops the weapon when Link defeats her. It is not seen again and is presumed to be in the ruins of the castle following its destruction.

It appears to be based on Renaissance era longswords, with a slim blade and large crossguard. Additionally, it features a ricasso, a blunt section of the blade that may be gripped to increase accuracy with a stab.

Hyrule Warriors/Legends[]

Main article: Rapier
Princess Zelda (Era of Twilight Robes) wielding her Rapier from Hyrule Warriors

Zelda uses Rapiers as her main weapon in her default moveset from Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends. It is a Light-affinity weapon that focuses on quick strikes augmented by Zelda's magic and can transform into a Bow of Light in order to fire Light Arrow. Some of Zelda's attacks for this moveset resemble attacks used by Possessed Zelda in Twilight Princess and may be based on them.
