Week 4: Sheik vs. Tetra[]

Sheik Artwork
Winner!
Sheik Artwork

Sheik!
21>2 1/2
Tetra
Catfight! Battle between Zelda's two alter egos!

Votes for Sheik[]

  1. User:Speedchuck Shiek could beat Tetra to a pulp!!
  2. XXXXX 19:39, 7 May 2008 (UTC) I might change later, but right now Sheik gets the vote.
  3. Hero of Time 87 20:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC) Sheik, for many obvious reasons: 1) Sheik is in reality the original Princess Zelda, and by extension, one of the most powerful incarnations of her in Zelda history; 2) Sheik has FAR more martial arts abilities than Tetra (although Tetra remains a formidable opponent, especially with a bow and arrow); 3) Sheik possesses the full Triforce of Wisdom, whereas Tetra only possessed a fragment of it for quite some time, until she assumed her identity as Zelda (and even then, it's unknown whether or not she still possesses it at the end of TWW); 4) Sheik is known to be a great fighter, even on grounds with the Hero of Time himself, something that can't really be said for Tetra. All in all, Sheik is a FAR more powerful incarnation of Zelda than Tetra really, and the original Zelda is more likely to be more powerful than one that is further down the bloodline (the Seven Maidens even noted that their powers had thinned across time). Sheik would win this battle hands down though.
  4. Klaros sheik is better by far after all, sheik manages to avoid capture for 7years and consider her skill with deku nuts and her agility.
  5. LadyNorbert 23:14, 7 May 2008 (UTC) I've never played either of the Zelda games with these characters; however, I have played SSBB, and Sheik is an amazing character in there. Also, I think Tetra is just sort of weird-looking.
  6. shiek is a teenage ninja and tetra is a kid pirate *cough* avatar *cough* --Power courage wisdom and time 00:55, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  7. Pirate vs. Ninja. No contest. Sheik. Murchadah 02:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  8. User:mr.popo Sheik is stronger than tetra because he have ninja's abilities
  9. AuronKaizer: Although Sheik creeps me out and brings back painful memories of a prank someone pulled on me involving Futanari (don't Google it if you want to keep your sanity), Sheik had lots of great dialogue in Ocarina of Time. Tetra could be overbearingly annoying at times, and even spent an entire game encased in stone, so this is pretty much a no-brainer. Jeez, are we ever gonna get an even match around here? >.< 17:18, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  10. Triforcel: Well, Shiek taught you the all important and incredibly useful warping songs. Plus they sound cool. Not sure what Tetra does as I've yet to play Wind Waker and she doesn't do much in Phantom Hourglass. Additionally, Ninjas > Pirates.
  11. Darklucario: Sheik is a ninja. She can throw needles incredibly fast, she can teleport, she has amazing speed. Tetra is a pirate, and has no special attacks or defences apart from a pirate ship. Sheik for the win!
  12. Wings Of Icarus 05:48, 9 May 2008 (UTC): Does Tetra use magic?
  13. Mario vs Bowser56 05:50, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
  14. User:Dark Ridley: Sheiks skills greatly outskill those of Tetra.
  15. sailormoonbeam02 sheik. hands down.
  16. User:Kperfekt722 06:31, 9 May 2008 (UTC) Tetra is a mere cartoon. Zelda is an animation :D

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Shiek is obviously more skilled, and plus if Tetra did kill her, she herself would vanish....making it a draw. And plus Shiek is older than Tetra.
  2. No doubt about it. Shiek is older, smarter, and strongger than Tetra. Plus, Ocarina of Time is so much cooler than Wind Waker.
  3. Sheik knows kong-fu. Tetra knows how to insult Link badly. I wonder which one is stronger? Hmm, this is a tough one...
  4. Sheik, hands down. Not even a competition between them.
  5. As I said before, this is the classic Pirates vs Ninjas battle. I go for the ninja. Shiek is faster, stronger, and more intelligent
  6. Sheik will obviously win because Tetra turned to stone in the Phantom Hourglass, I don't think stones can fight..
  7. Shiek will win all out. Nintendo used her for Brawl. Tetra isn't there!!! Mrkmil
  8. Sheik can actually FIGHT. Where are Tetra is just....... Tetra
  9. I think that if you base it on age Sheik would win. Tetra doesn't seem to have as much experiance as Sheik, and Tetra also sees a bit childish at times.
  10. Sheik managed to survive as a fugitive in the realms of the enemy for seven long years, while Tetra was caught by Ganondorf long before the end of the game. Voted by Reogan.
  11. Sheik hands down. Her ablities to move quickly and silently can work wonders against the usual pirate tactics of charging with cutlasses drawn, hoping no one cuts them down before getting into cutting range.
  12. Sheik would be able to defeat Tetra easily. Shiek is more agile than Tetra, and and is also stronger. Also Tetra(in the Wind Waker) was easily captured by the big bird. Also Shiek is just cooler, and you can't tell that Shiek is Zelda, but you can tell from Tetra's hair that she is Zelda.
  13. Shiek is also seen in the Super Smash Brothers games while Tetra not. Finally Tetra needs her pirates to help her while Shiek is strong by his/her self.

Votes for Tetra[]

  1. Though I like Ninjas and I like Sheik, Tetra's my favorite leading Zelda lady. Oath to Order 19:47, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. I believe that Tetra has a bigger chance of survival then shiek.
  2. At least we know for certain that Tetra is a girl
  3. First off, we never really see sheik actually fight. all she/he does is teach you a song, give you a few hints, and deku nut her way out before any fighting starts. don't get me wrong, i love all of her songs and her theme (sheik's theme is one of the best themes i've ever heard and the only reason my choice isn't a landslide), but if sheik were really that powerful, she would have helped link in some of his dungeons at least. On the other hand, Tetra leaped to link's aid and even faced down the king of darkness himself. Sheik/Zelda hid from Ganon for 7 years. Although Sheik was an amazing character in SSBM (so-so in SSBB), i'm pretty sure the smash games are non-canonical (you know a game is non-canonical when link can jump at will asides from ZeldaII. i'm missing another few games where he can actually jump at will but you get my point). all of her moves in the smash games are all based on how sheik might have fought if she actually did any fighting. Although Sheik would probably be a good fighter, until i see sheik actually throw a few punches (or needles. i don't remember needles in OoT) and have a little confirmation that zelda's disguise is more than just for show, i'll side with tetra.

-Response 5/13: (good job. nice to see some actual debating going on) Ganondorf was also actively looking for princess zelda in WW. Like in OoT, he employed a vast army of soldiers for the search. when tetra jumped in to help link during his confrontation with Ganondorf, she did it to save him. in OoT, sheik revealed her/himself as zelda for the sake of revealing who she was and was consequently caught. Tetra (as Zelda) is held in the Basement of Hyrule though she wanted to help link. She originally wanted to go, but was advised by the king not to in order to protect her and the triforce of wisdom. She even participates in Link's final battle with Ganondorf actually assisting with the fighting. Sheik nor Zelda from OoT do anything in their final battle, except when Zelda holds down Ganon for the finishing blow after Ganon was beaten to a pulp. if you compare the link/tetra confrontation with Ganondorf for the first time with the link/sheik Bongo Bongo fiasco, the outcome was pretty much the same for the 2 duos. you can say that means that tetra against Ganondorf fared equally with sheik vs Bongo which in turn can be interpreted as Tetra doing better in a battle against sheik (in some weird math equasion since Ganon>Bongo) by comparison. The OoT manga suggested that link may have had a thing for sheik which totally throws off my linkxsaria attitude so i try to keep the non-canon stuff from affecting my decisions:)

Peanut Gallery[]

  1. In response to the anonymus person that is number 2 for Tetra, you forget several things, just a few of those being: 1) Sheik was the seventh Sage, someone that Ganondorf was actively looking for and would stop at nothing to find. How could Sheik really risk revealing herself as Zelda when that would have put the entire Triforce of Wisdom within his grasp? Tetra did not even possess the full Triforce of Wisdom until she met Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule at the bottom of the sea; 2) Tetra had no idea at that point who Ganondorf was or that she was even Zelda when she jumped at him to save Link, so what she was doing was more foolish than even she or yourself realize. Had she known just who Ganondorf really was or that he was specifically searching for her, she may not have been so keen to jump right into his path like Sheik. When she realized she was Zelda, she hid from Ganondorf at the bottom of the sea much like Sheik had done. So that point is kind of a moot one considering that she had no idea what was going on at that point; 3) We don't see Sheik fight in the temples as I said to keep her identity safely hidden from Ganondorf. She also did battle Bongo Bongo upon his escape from the well alongside Link, although they failed to stop it from entering the Shadow Temple. We also learn of Sheik being a more active fighter in the manga of OOT, and while it is not canon, it still suggests that Sheik is a fiercer fighter than meets the eye. So not all of your statements in support of Tetra are exactly valid when you consider the big picture. Hero of Time 87 22:06, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

That was the third vote, and i madde the first vote (i wasn't a member at the time). solar flute

Week 3: Darknut vs. Iron Knuckle[]

Darknut (Twilight Princess)
Winner!
Darknut (Twilight Princess)
16 > 5.5
Iron Knuckle Artwork (Ocarina of Time)
A battle between two vicious and powerful knights. Who will be the champion?

Votes for Darknut[]

maurice468 i think that the darknut will win because he is strongegr thend the iron guy.

  1. Kperfekt722 14:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC) Darknut. Quite Frankly, they were a pain in the ass having to beat in The Legend Of Zelda, and are still a challenge. Iron Knuckle is tough too, but its a cakewalk compared to Darknuts.
  2. XXXXX 20:00, 30 April 2008 (UTC) Darknut rocks! Iron Knuckle can be beaten in like 30 seconds or so. Darknut is also easy to beat, but not quite as easy as Iron Knuckle.
  3. --TheFates 16:26 30 April 2008 (UTC) I definitely vote for Darknuts. You may snicker the first time you hear the name, but they have the coolest swords (or maces, depends on what kind you're fighting). Darknuts would own Iron Knuckles.
  4. Hero of Time 87 21:15, 30 April 2008 (UTC) The Darknut is a considerably more difficult enemy to beat, especially if you do not have all the Hidden Skills. Plus, if my memory serves me correctly, the Darknuts were the first seen in the series in the original Legend of Zelda. They have a better learning capacity than Iron Knuckles, and they move quicker. The Iron Knuckle is VERY easy to beat if you have Nayru's Love, and all you have to do is hit it from behind and keep hitting to beat it. The Darknut is far quicker and a more formidable adversary, being able to mimic your moves and move just as quickly, something the Iron Knuckle cannot do since it merely walks around swinging an axe and moves fairly slowly. I think the Darknut would end up winning mostly because of its ability to move quickly and adapt.
  5. --Power courage wisdom and time 21:33, 30 April 2008 (UTC) there just cooler to me
  6. --Mario vs Bowser56 22:57, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
  7. M. H. Avril 23:05, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Although they are hard to compare since they haven't both appeared in any game that I've played, I'd still pick these guys because they've always seems quicker and more on their game, although it would be interesting to see them go into a real battle.
  8. --Mr kmil= The Iron knuckle and the Darknut are really cool both, but if I had to chose, I would pick the Darknut
  9. Wings Of Icarus 07:34, 1 May 2008 (UTC): Darknut seems to have... more of an advantage over Iron Knuckle.
  10. LadyNorbert 16:53, 1 May 2008 (UTC) -- I have to admit, I've never had any experience with fighting an Iron Knuckle. But I'll give my vote to the Darknuts because twenty years ago, they really gave me hell when I was playing the original game and I have never forgotten what worthy opponents they are! Oh dear, I'm showing my age again.
  11. ChiefKakashi: They appear more often.
  12. Dark Ridley: I think Darknuts are more skillful in combat, easily outwitting the more bulky Iron Knuckles.

Anonymous votes[]

  1. You ever play Fire Emblem, the weapon triagnle is Sword>Axe>Lance>Sword, now tell me who'd win!
  2. darknut would win becasue he kicks butt and iron knuckle, well he just sucks
  3. Well ive played both games for a while and I have to say the iron knuckles are while hard to face easily weaker then darknuts especially to experts(like me) so its safe to say that darknuts have something that iron knuckles dont they arnt the type that can be pushed around and they surprise you by throwing there giant swords at you.
  4. I vote for Darknuts on the premise that they are NOWHERE near as easy as the Iron Knuckles. They can actually block, and you can't use Nayru's Love while fighting them
  5. Darknut definatly has the advantage he isn't a weakling when he loses his armor.
  6. Well, i just looked at the fact that iron knuckles are slower, and the fact that they can take damage all over, while darknuts can only take damage when they're open. Besides, whats harder? 2 darknuts or 2 iron knuckles, thats a no brainer
  7. Darknuts will win any fight. look at the big sword he's got, I don't want to go up against it.
  8. Darknut had an obvious advantage. Iron knuckle wont know what hit him.

Votes for Iron Knuckle[]

  1. I vote for the stronger, harder and cooler looking one. Plus, they are in the better game. Oath to Order 20:39, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
  2. In a totally combat point of view, you can't really kill an Iron Knuckle (I'm talking about the ones on the N64) beacuse there is nothing to kill, where the Darknut is a large human in a suit of armor, thus having mortality and then eminent death. And they're scarier... I wouldn't wanna see that in a dark... On second thought, I never wanna see that thing, haha. RTZ 20:47, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
  3. Murchadah 20:52, 30 April 2008 (UTC) It's all fun and games till you have to face an Iron Knuckle as Young Link. I still have scars from the battle.
  4. AuronKaizer: Iron Knuckles kick ass. Back in the day, there was no better test for one's sleight of hand and overall mind quickness stuff than fighting an Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask Iron Knuckle. Darknuts are the scourge of the original Zelda. How can you take something called "Darknut" seriously anyway? By the way, for some reason, the word "Darknut Prime" came into my mind just now - what in the name of Zora's Flippers is that?
  5. Triforcel 18:00, 01 May 2008 (UTC) The Darknuts were a fun enemy in Twilight Princess, but in Zelda 2 the Iron Knuckles were just so horrible to face.

Anonymous votes[]

Sean Benson: Look at them, they both you pretty kick arse!. I'd have to go with this dude tho. That Ax looks mean.

Peanut Gallery[]

The anonymous guy who made the comment about Fire Emblem is right. Darknut has a good chance.

XXXXX 15:19, 5 May 2008 (UTC) Quote:"He isn't a weakling with his armor." And he isn't a weakling without his armor either! He'll win, 2 hands, 2 feet, 10 fingers, and 10+ toes down.

Kperfekt722 14:41, 6 May 2008 (UTC) When the hell are we going to have a Gleeok up in here? How about Aquamentus? Or Gohma? Or Manhandla? Or haow about this: Old Man vs Midna? Ganon vs Zelda Would Be Cool.

Week 2: Ganondorf vs. Vaati[]

Ganondorf (Twilight Princess)
Winner!
Ganondorf (Twilight Princess)
21>4
Vaati Hylian Form (The Minish Cap)
The King of Evil battling the Wind Mage. Who will be the victor?

Votes for Ganondorf[]

  1. Kperfekt722 02:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC) For one thing, He is the King Of Evil. Secondly, he can change the shape of his own nose. Compare the Twilight Princess Nose to the Ocarina of Time Nose. lol.
  2. Oath to Order 16:57, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
  3. XXXXX 17:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)He's just more popular.
  4. LadyNorbert 18:08, 23 April 2008 (UTC) He's the King of Evil, what more needs to be said?
  5. Mr kmil 15:20, 4/23/08 "Agreeing with Ladynorbet, I have reasons (I take Logic) 1. He shows up in more games. 2. Once, He was commanding Vaati. 3. His attacks are way better. That's it
  6. Power courage wisdom and time 19:49, 23 April 2008 (UTC) He is just gonna win
  7. Hero of Time 87 20:10, 23 April 2008 (UTC) This is a no-brainer. Ganondorf certainly has the ultimate power to utterly destroy Vaati. He possesses the power of the Goddesses themselves, whereas Vaati is merely a wind mage. Ganondorf has so many magical powers and attacks that he is by far the most formidable villain in the series. He would win hands down.
  8. Wings Of Icarus 01:43, 24 April 2008 (UTC):You would think that Vaati has absolutely no chance against Ganondorf. Last time I checked, Vaati didn't possess the Triforce of Power. Vaati was just a wind mage. Did Vaati manipulate Zant? No. Is Vaati the King of Evil? No. Obviously, Vaati doesn't stand a chance.
  9. --Mario vs Bowser56 02:44, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Ganondorf will win easily he's never killed until Twilight Princess and Ganondorf has been called a dark and evil King and Vaati a Wind Mage. Ganondorf has a better transformation Ganon and Vaati a giant one eyed Keese with more wings a less scary looking than in Twilight Princess. Has Vaati ever possesed Zelda no.
  10. Zelda-Sama15:35, 24 April 2008 Honestly, I vote for Ganondorf, because he's got more powers. He has the Triforce of Power whereas Vaati is the Wind Mage. And does Vaati compete with Link in swordsmanship? Nooooo... Has Vaati been the major villian in most of the Zelda games? Noooooo...
  11. AuronKaizer: Heh, Vaati is one of my least favourite villains in any game anywhere. Ganondorf owns Vaati, go figure. Featured in the Zelda game with the worst plot (Minish Cap) and a game one has to have friends to be able to play, of which I have very few, and none of who have another Game Boy Advance and the ALttP Advance game. So, you lose Vaati. By the way, all his power also comes from something as lame as a magic cap. Err... 16:22, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
  12. I frankly don't think I have to say much. Ganondorf is better. And he looks better as a cartoon than Vaati. --Murchadah 21:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
  13. HevehocOk Ganondorf is the last boss in every zelda game i've played so i'll vote for him.
  14. IAmTheTwilightPrincess i shoudnt even be voting becouse we know who will win but w.e ganon is always the last boss except in P.H so he is more of A threat
  15. thedarkflame i think gannon should win because he awsome and i want a zelda game where you play as him.
  16. He's just so much more awesome. --ChiefKakashi 23:56, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
  17. PhoenixCorrect Ganondorf has the power of a god. Vati has some wind stuff which is probably very scary.
  18. Dancing Daggers No contest. Vaati = lamer than lame; that is to say that he set the new bar for lameness in Minish Cap (which was also actually pretty lame)
  19. M. H. Avril 03:37, 30 April 2008 (UTC) In every sense, Ganondorf is "DA MAN"!

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Ganondorf and Vaati were both in Four Swords: Adventures, and Ganondorf was the villain in that game.
  2. Vaati is just a jealous apprentice who stole a magical hat from Ezlo, and Ganondorf has magic and power granted by the godesses!
  3. Gannondorf had the willpower to continue fighting even after Link had destroyed him time and time again. That kind of will to live is almost impossible to break in a fight.
  4. Ganondorf would kick Vaatis butt because he's possesd Zelda and he's more popular
  5. What we are all forgetting is that the only things that can even do damage to ganon are light arrow and the master sword, Vaati can't even hurt him. I think next time it should be something more even matched like Agahnim and Zant

Votes for Vaati[]

  1. Ganondorf said it himself,"...When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came, the wind carried the same thing... Death. ..." Is not Vaati the Sage of WInd??? Is it was man to man: Vaati. Creature to Creature: Vaati Count Caterpie 23:08, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
  2. TwistedNerve 18:03, 24 April 2008 (UTC) It takes four Links to defeat Vaati, while one Link constantly beats Ganondorf.
  3. Giant Green Chu-Chu 11:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Giant Green Chu-Chu Vaati has succeeded in extracting the light force from zelda, (unlike a certain Ganondorf). Both of them have dark alter-forms, but Vaati's form is defined as: 'the embodiment of purest evil, the final form of the power-mad Vaati.' Ganon is just a really big pig. Vaati also managed to turn Hyrule into a dark world. Something that Ganondorf cant do (he knocked it down and started again. Vaati also absorbed, the light force, so he is also blessed by the gods.(through the picori).

  1. Vaati is mysterious while, in other Legend of Zeldas you know that you will battle Ganon or Ganondorf.
  2. VAATI IS COOL!!!!

Peanut Gallery[]

XXXXX 17:21, 23 April 2008 (UTC) Ganondorf is more popular. If this were on The Mass Menagerie it might be more evened out because Hyrule Colosseum works differently.

Hmmm TwistedNerve makes a good point... But Ganondorf Always Makes A Comeback :)

TwistedNerve in MC one link destoys Vatti --Power courage wisdom and time 01:46, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

I think this ends up as really a popularity match rather than real power. (and twisted nerve it takes theoretically five links, the main one and the four splits).--Giant Green Chu-Chu 11:19, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

In case you didn't know already, these ARE popularity contests and not matches of real power. Read the intro text? --AuronKaizer 15:56, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

The Deku Scrubs in FSA said it all: "Ganon is the King of Darkness!! Forget about Vaati." Vaati is nothing compared to Ganondorf. Hero of Time 87 14:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Psst. I think Ganny has won. --ChiefKakashi 18:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Say whuuuuuuuuuut? Noooooo wayyyyy duuuuuude! Almost like the FFWiki, the results here. --AuronKaizer 18:30, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Giant Green Chu has a largely flawed knowledge. If you remember Wind Waker, Ganondorf succeeded in taking the Triforce from not only Zelda, but Link too. Ganondorf consecutively revives, whereas Vaati doesn't. Also, that comment about being blessed by the gods... makes me wonder if he's NEVER played a game with Ganondorf in it. He wields the power of the gods, he's more than just blessed.

Week 1: Gorons vs. Zoras[]

Goron (Twilight Princess)
Winner!
Zora (Twilight Princess)
7 1/2 < 10 1/2
Zora (Twilight Princess)
The rock eating Gorons vs the water dwelling Zoras! Who will win?

Votes for Gorons[]

  1. Murchadah: 02:10, 17 April 2008 (UTC) Gorons. Big. Strong. And a bit scary. 'Nough said.
  2. Oath to Order 02:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Always liked them more. Friendlier I guess.
  3. Mr Kmil 9:52, April 18, 2008 Goron are pretty cool, and I like Zoras too, but Goron do sound better, because of the fact that they can grow metal and be very strong. Also, they're a lot nicer to Link than Zoras are.
  4. Count Caterpie 00:03, 19 April 2008 (UTC)2-ton rock bodies can easily crush scrawny little Zora muscles. And little spears can't hurt a rock.
  5. Raathuus Gorons could use their muscles and snap the Zoras in half!
  6. Mario vs Bowser56 Gorons would win there as hard as rocks and they can turn into boulders to crush the Zoras plus there arn't any Zora bosses or mini bosses and Gorons can use their sumo moves and the Zoras only have Prince Ralis as their leader I mean a little boy as their leader but Gorons have a better leader uh... i forgot his name but Gorons would win i mean when their leader is possesed by the Fused Shadow he is a big firy dude named Fyrus but the Zoras don't even have a big water dude as a boss because its just a giant eel that is easy to kill (not easier than the Temple of Time boss). The Goron leader helps you by breaking the rocks to hidden village but Prince Ralis just gives you a earing just a earing to catch a fish to lead you to Yeto and his wife who becomes possesed by a mirror shard and tries to kill you.(just a earing just a earing JUST A EARING) Any way they have some Gorons who give you swords like Biggoron. (just a earing) and we all know Gorons will win JUST A EARING

Anonymous votes[]

  1. They can both breathe underwater and the garons kick butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. The Gorons are pretty strong, and they do have bombs. Of course, part of it would depend on location
  3. Gorons can roll around in balls and eat rocks. What more could you want in life?

Votes for Zoras[]

  1. Kperfekt722 14:44, 6 May 2008 (UTC) Tough call, but I'll put my money on Zora's (I voted earlier, but never saved, its not like I waited till it was over.
  1. littlmiget123: Zoras should win because its ovbious: water beats fire/rock. If I'm right Zoras are amphibious, and if a Goron goes into a lake, they will sink right away. And plus... they're cool!
  2. BlueHighwind: Zoras because I like water better than rock, skinny better than fat, and always have more fun in the Water Dungeons that the Fire ones. And that sumo wrestling video game didn't help anything for the other guys.
  3. Fillfrog: Zoras would win because they are smarter and brain beats brawn.
  4. M. H. Avril: I vote for Zoras for a few reasons. They seem to be smarter and they can survive in water, the most abundant thing on Earth and in the world of Hyrule. The Gorons either sink to the bottom and die (like in Majora's Mask), or just sink to the bottom and be stuck there forever (like in Twilight Princess). And I know that Gorons survive in lava, but you basically only find that in Death Mountain, where they live. Also, Zoras seem to actually have both men and women, while Gorons seem to have only male members.
  5. Hero of Time 87 14:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC): I agree the Zoras would win, for many of the same reasons Avril stated. The Zoras are a more graceful race and have the unique ability to survive in water, which like Avril stated is the most abundant thing in the world and gives them the ability to go places no Goron could go. They can also survive outside the water for a time, which gives them an advantage over the Gorons since the Gorons really can't swim or stay afloat.
  6. XXXXX 15:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC): I concur. The zoras have a thriving monarchical society. The gorons have a tribe of male-only members, and they place brawn as their main defense weapon. They do, have a strong society but they lack the organized ways of the Zora.
  7. --Power courage wisdom and time 22:23, 17 April 2008 (UTC) Gorons are going to get the ponage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think about the numbers, terrain, speed blah blah blah...
  8. AuronKaizer: Zoras because basically, Link in Zora form kicks ass. (By the way, by that definition, do you hate yourself BH?)
  9. Wings Of Icarus 12:53, 23 April 2008 (UTC): Zoras are simply more dignified and graceful. Zoras seem to be more intelligent than the Gorons, and are able to swim, whereas Gorons on the other hand, can't stay afloat. Zoras also have the unique ability to survive in and out of water, whereas the gorons are restricted to land which gives the Zoras an advantage over the Gorons, who, as I said before, can't stay afloat.
  10. ZeldaFanatic98 14:02, 23 April 2008 (UTC): Both the Gorons and the Zoras have advantages that the other doesn't have, but the Zoras have the unique ability to travel both by land and water, something the Gorons cannot do. While the Gorons may have brute strength, they would be defeated if confronted with water, while the Zoras would dance circles around them. On land, the Gorons may have a slight advantage, but the Zoras seem a bit more intelligent race. Therefore, the Gorons are more likely to be outsmarted by the Zoras if the situation arose. So my vote is cast for the Zoras.

I guess I'm Neutral on this one... But frankly I'm leaning towards Zora's. But then again I like Goron's better... Kperfekt722 15:08, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

RTZ 04:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC): I think that in setting, it would decide the winner. I never saw a Zora on Death Mountain. You don't find Gorons in water temples. It is about the place rather then the person... But in retrospect I should have voted for Gorons...

XXXXX 04:43, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Actually there is a drying Zora unable to do anything but stand in the heat of Death Mountain in Twilight Princess.

M. H. Avril 05:01, 18 April 2008 (UTC) Also, if you make it to the Hot Spring on the other side of Death Mountain (not in Kakariko Village), you'll find 2 more Zora "tourists".

Hero of Time 87 14:58, 18 April 2008 (UTC) The Gorons are certainly not the nicest to Link always, as evidenced by Darunia's first attitude toward Link and their open hostility toward him in Twilight Princess. The Zoras meanwhile have never been rude or tried to turn Link away, save for Ruto upon their first meeting.

Next fight is Ganondorf vs. Vaati. It'll be changed tomorrow. Oath to Order 19:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

XXXXX 19:51, 22 April 2008 (UTC) Huh. I guess if no one votes before tomorrow, it'll be a perfect tie.

Anon votes count for half a vote. If no one votes, it'll be 7 - 7 1/2. Oath to Order 19:53, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

XXXXX 14:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC) Ah, never mind. At least zoras win! I guess you do get more privilege if you're a registered user. So never mind what I said before, and deleted.

This is a previous fight, and this is the least one sided fight ever.

XXXXX I know this is an old fight. But seriously ... Zoras are always getting frozen. *so* lame.
