Link's Butler

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present to you the 44th week of the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! To all patrons, if you are not clean, please leave at once.

In the left corner, we have the snobbish owner of the most expensive store in all of Hyrule! Extremely germophobic, he prices his merchandice as high as the heavens and hates Link; It's CHUUUUUUUUUDLEY!

And in the right corner, we have propped up a door with the image of a man on it. Guardian of the Private Oasis, he is fiercely loyal to his master and hates children; It's THE BUTLEEEEEEEEER!

Two of the meanest, snobbiest, most germophobic men ever to stand in this Temple will now face off in a battle of snobbishness. Who will win? As always, it's up to you, my dear voters! We cannot delay any longer, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Chudley[]

  1. Chudley can do the moonwalk. Enough said!
  2. Chudley would win the same way any other dude would kill the Butler who's basically a spirit in a door which is made of wood: use the powers of nature. And believe there's nothing more natural than fire! --Big Poe=Nice Guy 23:46, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
  3. well, a door against a man. umm. Chudley obviously. i mean he could beat the door up and the door couldn't do anything about it. -- molgera the octo
  4. The Butlets shriek when you decide not to play the puzzle annoys me Darkest-Link123 01:24, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  5. Easily Chudley. //Khanson
  6. All Chudly needs to do is get a woodchipper LOL :) --Twilightwizard0309 11:52, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  7. A shopkeeper with weapon supplies and the Magic Armor versus a door in a house on an island...pretty obvious who's gonna win, eh? Leo Crimson 14:31, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. Oh sh*t, i missed to vote on the last battle. Anyway my vote goes to Chudley cause' i hardly know who the butler is. Hevehoc 07:11 22 April 2009 (CET)
  9. Voting for Chudley because he is hilarious when he turns good and works at Malo Mart. Oddball464 17:11, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
  10. Well neither of them actually do much but this guy comes with really cool theme music (can't get it out'a my head).--Gbadude3 18:11, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
  11. Chudly can easilly slash the butler with his super sharp razor ears. Zafum
  12. Man, who can deny the idea of a guy who will rob you of your lifes savings for a measly ten arrows? I hate Chudly, but he sure knows how to make a living! Sincerely, Watcher.
  13. A door. Amazing.the most snobbish person of all time against a door.Bkarcher97

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Ummm.....chudley......is not a door (giggle), just think that this is a little stupid to pit a door against a LIVE person, even if they are big fat snobish boars, easy pick. Oh, and last weeks fight was amazing! Almost a let down this week, but I can't help myself!
  2. never met the butler, but he is after all, just a door. Whereas to even get into Chudley's shop you had to get your boots shined. nont to mention that he charged 2000 rupees for a bundle of arrows! When malo mart bought out his store he did a funny dance with a Megaphone on his head.
  3. He may be snobbish but he is just darn funny when he says "Oh, how terrible to be you". He gets my vote.
  4. YOU WANT IT, YOU BUY IT, BUY IT NOW AT MALO MART! Woo!
  5. The butler is just a door. I like the way Chudley dances. MALO MART!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Votes for Butler[]

  1. Ok, i do not really know WHY i am voting, but i choose butler because......well, at least he does not have to dance like an idiot when someone else owns his place. Plus, he could just lock Chudly out of the Oasis cabana and raise an army, then unlock the door and the army could rush out and blow Chudly into the ocean, or even just simply lock Chudly out and starve him to death.--Shade Link 23:40, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
  2. Whereas Chudley is simply a HUGE snob, Butler is an incomprehensible entity which manifests itself as a drawing on a door as well as on several out-of-place cardboard cutouts. Chances are, he possesses great power and follows no leader other than the owner of the cabana. Butler is truly a force to be reckoned with. Portal-Kombat
  3. Yay for sentient pieces of wood. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  4. Link's Butler physicly controls a house and can do anything with it, while chudly is just a shopkeeper. Windwakerfan
  5. Chudley is boring. The butler is cool (except for the tile game). Doors rule! --MoscowModder
  6. Hey the butler can control the house. Just imagine, if chudley entered the house then the butler would get the house to eat him or something. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 12:56, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  7. A much more unique character and I absolutely despised Chudley. I never even noticed the Butler's rudeness that much, But Chudley was just too obnoxious for my liking. --EveryDayJoe45 19:28, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. I got meself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking LIVING DOOR! This guy scared me the first time I played the game. Bad texturing work for the win. Chudley is cool and all, but he's not as weird or interesting as Link's Butler. Just plain cool. Feel a bit sad for Chudley though...if XXXXX was still around, there would be a 1,500 letter essay on how awesome he is, which would have likely swayed me and anyone else into changing our opinions. Ah, those lost days of yore...? --AuronKaizer! 19:48, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  9. I love Link's Butler! He's just so awsome! And plus, I've never had clean enough shoes for Chudley. I can't find Soal! Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:30, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
  10. He's got an army of Redeads and Rats in his basement, an army of Cardboard Cutouts in his living room, bows to nobody but the hero chosen by the Cabana Deed, is freaking rich, and wields the power of the Rubix Portraits: Chudley gets bought of his own store by a two-year-old from the boonies. Who should I vote for? :P *whisper whisper* Chudley is a sellout - Butler FTW! 19:43, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Kamari no Hyrule
  11. I was going to vote Chudley, til I realized just how much more obnoxious he was than the Butler. Besides, the latter was a lot more likeable and free-minded than the guy who stands behind the counter doing any kind of ridiculous thing his boss pays him to do. --Caiaphasthesympathist 23:02, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
  12. You've got to love the butler. He scared me when I was young when he screams at you. "DON'T TOUCH ME WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS!" Kopaka251 02:25, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
  13. The butler is magic! He is a talking cardboard cutout with his own intelligence, whereas Chudley is a greedy jerk. AGENT CLYDE
  14. First, the butler is a door, not a person, and that means ht it is like a kind of magical spell. Second, he has basement full of Redeads and Rats that would scare off Chudley. Third, he can also kill Chudley of desperation by making him play his little Slide-Puzzle game, if he manages to open the door first. Snakeboss14
  15. I don't really know anything about either character, but I'm going with the Butler, he seems like a more interesting character. I mean how many doors with a guy painted on them do you know who can managed a whole island? I didn't think so. User:Iriadinh, Hero of Air
  16. Personally, I don't really care. I just prefer the butler to that snobbish, stingy, greedy miser of a shopkeeper. Sir Real
  17. Any one but Chudley! User:BetweenBlack&White
  18. OMG I LOVE THE BUTLER! Me and the butler are tight! Nayru goddess

  1. Chudley looks like a goon, the wind waker door butler was one cool dude
  2. Hurray for the talking cardboards..
  3. I perfer the butler over Chudley because when he helps, he doesn't charge you anything!
  4. I just can't get enough of the butlers sliding picture puzzles! Hours of fun! From, Midna Rocks
  5. Chudley makes everything cost, like, 100,000,000! But actually, I haven't seen the butler in Wind Waker yet...
  6. OMG! I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A TALKING DOOR BUTLER
  7. as a wise man once said, you can't beat a talking door butler!!
  8. its a talking door. COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. He has no blood, so he can't feel anything. Mr. Fairy

Not lol in the slightest, AK... Portal-Kombat
You expected a quote from Scrubs to be funny? --AuronKaizer! 20:55, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
I didn't expect a Scrubs quote, period. Portal-Kombat

Oh no, I just realized that Majora only beat Zant by 24 votes, which means that Big Poe vs. Them is still the most one-sided fight ever. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:22, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, PK if you're going to abandon Bombers vs. Killer Bees, then I'm going to start suggesting it. The fight is pretty good and is almost always right on the win line. Metroidhunter32 22:14, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm supporting you/myself all the way! Portal-Kombat

I'd kill for a fight that didn't end up becoming one-sided almost immediately. But I guess such a thing don't exist. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 01:52, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

No no, it's as real as the Land of Oz, Jesus and fair trials. --AuronKaizer

! 01:54, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Whoa that's low dude. I bet you that many Christians (including me) will probably hate you for that comment. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 14:14, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
It's happened before. While almost all fights eventually do become one-sided, Garo vs. Sheikah was very close right up to the end when Sheikah pulled ahead. Now me, what I'd kill for would be you not automatically stating an absolute. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:05, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm offended on so many levels. Please watch what you say as it could be extremely offensive to the point of making people want to use your grave as a toilet. Turtleman579
Link the Pig vs. Lord Bulbo wasn't one sided. It was as close as it was awesome. Portal-Kombat
Rusl vs. Orca turned around in the middle of the week. That count? Metroidhunter32 11:52, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
True a lot of these matches do become, or start out as, one sided, but this is an opinion poll and the general opinion of the group of people who vote usually have the a same opinion. Some things are just more popular than other things, and Big Poe this is just one big popularity contest in essence. AK that was really low, but It is not my place to say what someone can or cannot say, no? User:Ccbermanzzpedia April 25th 3:07 (UTC)

Week 43: Majora vs. Zant[]

Majora's Mask Artwork
Winner!
"Majora!"
Majora's Mask Artwork
41.5>17.5
Zant

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to bring you the explosive 43rd week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And what a fight we have for you this week!

In the purple corner floats a frightening visage, confined to a mask. Supposedly trapped there for thousands of years, he has the power of a god, no grip on his sanity, the ability to change shape, and a desire to destroy Termina; it's MAJORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

And shrouded in shadows in the brown corner, a man whose mask terrifies all. Tossed aside by his people, he too has the power of a god, a slippery grip on sanity, can change himself and the world around him, and wishes to conquer Hyrule; it's ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!

Two terrifying, monstrous, insane, all-powerful beings get ready to clash. But in the end, only one will walk away a champion. Who will win? Will the Temple of Courage even survive? That, my dear voters is up to you! We all want to see this fight, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Majora[]

  1. I think majora is cooler! But I beated her in 5 minutes with the fierce deity mask! Ania+Link
  2. Two simple words,Majora rules! User:Fierce Deity Einar
  3. Majora is a god. Zant... well I lost a little faith in him when he began to bash his head into the ground and cry like a little four-year-old. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 22:25, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
  4. Majora is crazy, just like me! My vote goes to him. User:Hello Doggy
  5. I can't really decide since these are my two favorite Zelda villains but ultimately it has to be Majora. While both are pretty despicable Majora is pretty much epitomizes the term evil. He tried to blow up the world. Why? Because he's a genocidal sadist who's getting kicks out of watching the Terminans' suffering (He's obviously sadistic as the Moon's smile widened when the 4 Guardians began to struggle at the end.) Also Majora would obviously own Zant: even in mask form his powers rivals or perhaps even surpasses Ganondorf's. And who gave Zant his powers? And just one last point: without Ganondorf, Zant would be nothing. Majora is one of the more competent villains in videogame history and is one of the few villains out there who has a good reason for not offing the hero as soon as the game kicks off. Also let's face it, Majora has more guts than Zant. Majora fought to his last breath whilst Zant fled after his fight was over and ultimately committed suicide. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 01:07, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  6. I liked Majora a lot more. If I didn't become a Deity he was hard to beat. Not to mention he almost destroyed an entire land, whereas Zant was a puppet. --EveryDayJoe45 02:06, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  7. Man oh man...a God of chaos, more or less. There's just something about the lack of logic in Majora's thinking that is so, err, cool. Awesome, even. Zant just feels like he forgot his meds, but Majora feels somehow incurable of its mental...thingy. Also, at least the boss fights are somewhat challenging (when you're not using the Fierce Deity Mask) in comparison to Zant, who in his disgusting displays of narcisissm summons copies of himself. That's lame. Anyway, for whatever reason, Majora wins this. --AuronKaizer! 03:06, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. Majora. It's barely even a contest... Zant just plain has no personality or will of his own. User:Mr. biggles
  9. The embodiment of evil verses a puppet? Haha don't make me laugh.—Triforce4Triforce 14(...) 03:22, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  10. Everything's already been said. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:52, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  11. ever hear his childish laugh? creepy. Oni Dark Link 08:51, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  12. Well LETS get this straight! just as AK said, Zant just plain forgot his meds, and plus, Zant got his powers from GANONDORF, a guy who got owned by a sword, something that BOKOBLINS could survive. Majora always had his powers and even after being sealed away for thousands of years, his ultimate power STILL was great and well in use. Majora can control his behavior, while Zant, when he gets mad, he starts running around screaming. here are the examples of Zant and how he acts: 1. he makes weird noises when he fires energy at you: agheghehgehghehgehgehgeghe! 2. When you crush his foot with the ball and chain:*clutches his foot and jumps around and shrinks* 3. When you are fighting in sword combat with him, when he slashes up and down he goes:"WHAT WAA WHA WAH WAH WAH WAH?!" then when he performs the :hurricane slash, he goes: "EEEEEEEEARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH! --Shade Link 13:04, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  13. Majora has a kind of cold focused insanity. Zant on the other hand is rubber room material. If you met zant he is clearly insane but Majora could integrate himself into society, and destroy it any way he wants. Also a guy so powerfull as to pull the moon out of its orbit vs. pinochio. Metroidhunter32 12:57, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  14. Majora because his fight was unique. Zant for most of it you were just fighting the other bosses again. Twilitlink 19:48, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  15. I don't know why.--Power courage wisdom and time 23:48, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  16. Both Majora and Zant were seemingly powerful villains that turned out to have climactic battles that weren't as climactic as you expected them to be... but Majora's undoubtably was much tougher, the final form took me what felt like half an hour. Portal-Kombat
  17. Zant? Referred to Ganondorf as his god. Majora? Pretty much WAS a god. Zant? A puppet. Majora? Made other people his puppets. Zant? Easy. Majora? Nearly impossible unless you quite literally have the power of a god. Yeah, think I'm going to go with Majora, here! --Ryttu3k 10:00, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
  18. Majora seems psychotic to people because his motives for destroying stuff are unclear, and his Incarnation has a tendency to do Russian dances from time to time. Zant... I can easily see him singing Dr. Demento's "They're Coming To Take Me Away" song. *shivers* Majora is cooler by far. TP LOOKS awesome, but story and difficulty are generally lacking, other than Midna. But I digress.--Bek (talk) 23:40, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
  19. Deffinately the strangest of all the zelda villians, he has my vote! Plus, just look at Zant's face. LOOK AT IT. Thats all I need to say. User:Awesomeguy
  20. After I fought Zant, I really considered turning the game off so that I could unplug it and take the Wii to a therapist and fight Zant again in front of him/her. Yeah I'm voting for Majora.Maku Seed (Oracle of Ages)Twoface13Maku Seed (Oracle of Seasons)
  21. Zant may be a great character, but he screeches like a monkey. He is really childish, and is actually considered to be a moron blessed with incredible power (from Ganondorf, which he stupidly thought was a god).Bkarcher97
  22. Majora is a calculating, apocalyptic villian but Zant is just Gannondorf's insane minion.--Gbadude3 19:48, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
  23. Zant was quite awesome at first, but the sudden revelation of his puniness will make heads shift towards Majora's delightful insane powers. Caiaphas the sympathist
  24. Zant is just Ganondorf's tool to conquer Hyrule, Majora has his own strategy and if it weren't for Link's time manipulation he would've succeeded. Also if Zant and Majora were to meet, Zant would probably abandon Ganondorf and become Majora's servant instead. Oddball464 16:37, 15 2009 (UTC)
  25. Easily Majora. One of the most underestimated villains in any Zelda-game ever. And by the way, Majora is the bad guy behind the scene. Zant is just a puppet for Ganondorf all along. Easy choice of who is more powerful (and awesome) //Khanson
  26. Majora reminds me of The Joker from the Dark Knight. Not only do they look just as pretty :-), they are also both completely and UTTERLY sadistic, insane and evil. Majora enjoys destroying the world so much, he'll give his enemy the power to defeat him just for the sake of a game. INSANE!!!!--PoogMaster 23:11, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
  27. Majora gets my vote for a number of reasons. Mostly, he/she/it gets my vote because Zant was just following Ganondorf. But Majora doesn't take orders from ANYBODY! Also, I think it's really disturbing how Majora screams, as opposed to Zant's yelling. And look at Majora's cossack dance! You've GOTTA be pretty damn strong to do that dance that well. Sir Real
  28. Even though I say that all of Zants anonymous votes (the insane(35 in total) amount of short sentances) are possibly legal I would say that Majora would win because he was a much tougher oppent than Zant and was the boss that was hardest that wasn't Ganandorf. He also is totally insane because in return for all of the masks he gave you the greatest mask of all and his greatest weakness. Zant is has a stronger grip on reality than Majora, but is insane none-the-less. Their different renditions of the same idea, Majora is just the better rendition of the two. I still liked TP more than MM but in this sense MM is better. (The only shote Zant has is if those votes come back, only chance he's got.) User:Ccbermanzzpedia 10:32 April 17 2009
  29. Majora, hands down. I mean, seriously. When was the last time you saw Zant steal a horse PERSONALLY? When was the last time you saw Zant bring down the moon? When was the last time you saw Zant turn the moon into a constipated, red eyed, retarded death monster? When was the last time you saw Zant break every single great fairy in the world into, like, a hundred pieces? When was the last time you saw Zant take over a kids mind, and make him imprison all his friends in the bodies and wills of great masked monster beasts? I'll tell you the answer - NEVER! Zant needed the power of a veteran evil-doer to conquer one castle, and he needed an army to take another. He couldn't even break a mirror, while Majora caused the death of three innocence (The Deku Butler's Son, Darmani the Goron Hero, and Mikau the Zora Guitarist) using nothing but a Skull Kid, 2 fairies, and 4 Masks. Now thats awesome right there.--Kamari no Hyrule 02:00, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
  30. Majora rules! Actually, both are pretty easy. But while Majora is creepy in a way that only Majora can be, Zant is only nuts. Especially when he totally lost it before the battle. --MoscowModder
  31. pshhh, majora obviously, TRY TO BEAT HIM WITHOUT FIERCE DEITY MASK!! its hard! zants only insane, sincerly--75.174.73.63 22:58, 18 April 2009 (UTC)molgera the octo
  32. Oh, this was a hard one, but I was really excited to see it made it to the Temple of Courage! Zant was cool, and if it didn't feel like he just lost it in the end because he knew he was going to die, then he'd get my vote. That's not the case. Majora just... to quote Dark Knight "wants to watch the world burn" and that's my favorite kind of villain. --Daydreamer3173
  33. First of all, Zant doesn't even have any special powers, apart from being a Twili. Second, Majora wasn't even at full power when hefought Link in MM. Even if Zant had Ganondorf's lent power, Majora would still own him. Even if Majora had to fight Ganondorf, we would still win if he was at full power.DarthLink

  1. Majora is awesome. The whole unknown mysteries of his origin is captivating.
  2. i vote for majora. when he loses i am ganna put majora's mask on and kill zant.
  3. majora is great! i mean, without ganondorf zant isn't aything plus whos a better villian than an entity created by the sole hatred of someone
  4. I vote Majora because he's like a god or demon god, and could transform into something horribal and snap Zants puny neck I also like Majora better than Zant. Also Zant is just a puppet while Majora is a sadistic mad physco Demon sealed into a mask. In other words Majora OWNS Zant.
  5. majora is WAY BETTER, Zant looks like a C-L-O-W-N without his mask. and when you kick his butt he throws a temper tantrum (or is it a temper ZANTrum? :) LOL)majora looks like a kick butt villan and is harder to beat. so my money on majora! :)
  6. Majora almost beats Oni Link in awesome. He ways beats Zant.
  7. WHOO an evil mask that tries to destroy the world.. that is soo original! besides, Zant looks weird
  8. Majora is one of the best bosses, he looks cooler and is funner to fight than Zant. Zant isn't that cool. He's weird. And Majora can moonwalk!!!!!
  9. Majora. Cos hes a basicly a god
  10. Definately Majora.
  11. Majora is fun! He,(or rather "it"), chooses to tempt the last person you would expect, skull kid. Plus, Majora is a major boss! It has its own powers, not somebody elses!
  12. Masks dude. Masks. Mr.Fairy.
  13. He made almost an entire land afraid, by bringing the Moon out of its orbit. Last I checked, the moon wasn't a small object. Plus he's not a puppet like Zant, he makes people his puppets and when he's done with them, he gets rid of them. And let's not forget that he turns our hero into a Deku Scrub and steals the Ocarina of Time and Epona. Plus Majora's Wrath just looks awesome.
  14. Majora is awesome he will destroy zant
  15. Zant's behavior was just silly. Majora was freaking awesome, and I love irreversably insane characters like that.
  16. Majora definately mostly because his past is unknown and he can destroy a place for no reason. He also brought the moon down nearly killed an entire land ruined everybodys lives messed up links quest to find navi and above all he's a mask with god like powers or a god in a mask or something like that and Zant was only a puppet.
  17. Although I haven't played either (in fact, the only Zelda game I played was Ocarina, and I got that this Easter), Majora seems just plain awesome. He was basically a god, and like others have said, Zant just lost his meds, but Majora is some sort of schizofrenic, bipolar, manic, sociopath that was sent to an insane asylum but killed everyone there. Besides, when did Zant ever almost succesfully crush the planet with the moon?

Votes for Zant[]

  1. Zant might be lackluster at times, but considering the fact that Majora gives Link the power of his greatest enemy, I'd have to say Zant wins. User:NintendoKitsune
  2. Zant all the way, baby! He may not be a god, but he conqured Hyrule in less than a minute, and not to mention the fact that he's bloody insane! Sincerely, Watcher.
  3. I'm having alot of trouble with this one, but I would have to say Zant. Majora has little to no grip on his sanity whatsoever and seems a little childish, but then Zant is also primarily insane. Zant is the lesser of two evils, at least he isn't trying to destroy a world just for the fun of it. User: Iriadinh, Hero of Air
  4. If it was Majora while attached to skull kid, he would have totally gotten my vote, but it's just plain Majora, and he's a little boring. I prefer the one's who are insane enough to break their own necks! Mrs.MikauShadLink 08:14, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  5. Anyone that can go out in public in that getup gets my vote. He's such an utter creep; I could totally see his funny face just waiting behind a bush somewhere, peeping in windows or something...i wonder where i could find such an outfit Katamariqueen 14:41, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  6. Zant had more story to him and he is stronger, thats right you heard me. Majora got owned by kid Link with a Kokori sword and no ToC, Zant got owned by the ToC and not only the Master Sword but the Master Sword filled with the power of his godsDarkest-Link123 16:22, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  7. I love insane characters, and Zant takes the cake in that regard. Majora was crazy too, but the way Zant would snap back and forth to calm to insane was stirring. Plus, Zant's boss battle (and the battle music) is my absolute favorite in the whole series. That said, this was actually one of the toughest choices I've had to make so far, even if it is a lost cause (T.T). LapisScarab 19:15, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. Zant was really something. He was immature, impudent, insane, and stupid. He suffered from several mental disabilities, and had the easiest boss battle in the ENTIRE FRIKKIN GAME. He even was dumb enough to beleve Ganon was a god. And finally, the guy died by inflating and popping like a balloon. That's just a terrible way to kill off a character. If it weren't for Majora, he'd be the worst villain in the series. EAT IT MM FANS!!!!! Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 23:24, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
  9. Zant was cool. He appeared at random times, did something cool, and in the end he threw a huge temper tamtrum and then i killed him. he gets my vote User:SOLDIER1stJ
  10. I am a huge Zant fan. His boss battle was way better and more fun then the Majora's Mask battle. Plus, take a look at my screen name. eed I say more? --Twilightwizard0309 17:42, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
  11. Zant was so awesome, I loved his mask, but most of all I loved the story behind him, it really shows the depth of his character...you know behind the insanityNayru goddess
  12. We just don't know enough about Majora for him to be cool. Zant has a good background. User:RadiantSoul

  1. ZANT SHOULD BE THE ONE HE'S AWSOME AND COOL AND CUNNING AND CAN JUGGLE MAJORA WITH A PINKY
  2. I think most of us think this is a pretty tough decision but I think I have to go with Zant because... I'm not really sure. I guess I like his craziness
  3. He is awsome!
  4. I like the fact that he is insane and that he was harder than Majora.
  5. This is such a sweet match! He can take down anyone!
  6. Zant can play soccer with Majora......with Majora as the soccer ball!
  7. They are both very dark.....Zant is a way better fighter than Majora.
  8. Zant is way more powerfull than Majora! How can Majora win if he is isn't powerful.
  9. Majora is mask. Zant where's one, see who is better know?
  10. I liked how Zant took something from every boss then put his own twist on it. From, Midna Rocks.
  11. I just think he has a kewl mask...

Why do so many people think that these two guys are insane? That thought never crossed my mind. Unless I'm mistakened (and I'm not) except for Twilight Princess Ganondorf/Ganon always goes into a psychopathic rage when everything falls apart for him so that could just easily be the same scenario. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 01:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

okay, i was the guy who was talking about pie in Majora vs. Bellum, and anyway, must i say again how Majora should be compared to maybe Ganondorf? nothing less, come on people, Majora pwns all

How are you not seeing Zant going insane? Also, I very strongly disagree that Ganondorf ever shows insane tendencies (well, at least in the games I've played, but I kind of doubt that he's showing more personality in the 2D games). Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:52, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, they always say that the first sign of someone "cracking" is when they start laughing at their failure...like Ganondorf does. --AuronKaizer! 03:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Uhh... he wanted to rule the world. He countlessly murdered individuals who got in his way. If Ganon wasn't insane, then what are the serial killers we have in jail all around the world? Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 01:26, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
well he did seem quite out of his head the first time i saw him turn into ganon in ocerina of time and i know you havnt played them xyz but he shows full insanity at the end of the oracles where he becomes a majora of sorts with only one desire which is destruction Oni Dark Link 08:56, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
In two of the three 3D Zelda games I own where Ganondorf is the main villain ultimately he goes insane after his plan fails thus setting up an exciting battle. In Ocarina of Time after defeat at the hands of Link he thinks its a good idea to sacrifice his soul to the darkest forces in the universe as evidenced by his heavy breathing and demonic eyes. In The Wind Waker after the King uses the Triforce for good Ganondorf begins laughing maniacally for a couple minutes before engaging in a one final sword duel where he fights like the bizarre love child of Yoda and Darth Maul. Also according to my internet sources he also went cucco in the Oracle games (although this is for other reasons). Admittedly I did realize Zant lost his sanity in battle but Majora? I just thought he was using everything he could in battle considering the fact he was trapped in a friggin' Mask. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 11:10, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
O yeah i forgot about wind waker. Oni Dark Link 12:26, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
I could really see the Majora insanity issue going either way, so he/she/it isn't really significant in this conversation. As for Zant, he's definitely insane. I know Ganondorf is insane in the Oracle games, but that's only because he wasn't revived fully and as such was not his true calculating self. I suppose one could interpret the ending of Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker as insanity, but we're really talking about very different kinds of insanity here. While Ganondorf may go into a "psychopathic rage" or laugh for a really long time when he fails, Zant starts screeching and banging his head on the ground. Really, quite a few villains would do what Ganondorf does when he loses (go somewhat insane due to rage and desperation). Zant, on the other hand, is quite clearly as insane as you can possibly get, and not just at the end of the game; while he appears quite sane in several scenes, we see in the flashback of him meeting Ganondorf that he was already losing his grip on sanity prior the the events of the game. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:09, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh yeah I forgot about that part. Well either way I'm primarily pointing out that Majora probably isn't insane. If you were trapped in a Mask and you had to transform yourself to become more powerful it's better to transform into something insane rather than something intelligent because insanity has the tendency to adapt to different forms of combat better than intelligence (as far as fighting style goes). As for his plot being insane: I already explained that on my vote for Majora. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 21:19, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm not arguing that Majora is insane. Some people interpret his/her/its actions as insane and some don't....I personally don't have an opinion on the issue. Majora is awesome, and if he's/she's/it's insane, that's a trivial issue. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:18, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

guys, i am Shade Link. that 9th vote was mine, but for some reason, i got logged out, and i can't find my password, so do not delete the vote yet!

never mind i got back on.--Shade Link 13:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Guys, I just finished creating a new article: Gold Phantom. Can someone please help find a picture of one and upload it? thanks! --Shade Link 18:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Um, dude, this isn't where you should post stuff not related to the Temple of Courage. --AuronKaizer! 18:44, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah i know, but the password stuff was just being used to tell everyone so they did not delete my vote until i got back on. The Gold Phantom part was just to alert people, so they could add stuff on the page if they knew something i did not put.--Shade Link 21:40, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah....and the Gold Phantom article has absolutely nothing to do with the Temple of Courage. What you're doing here is taking advantage of the Temple of Courage's popularity to advertise an article that you made and want people to improve. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:18, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

XYZ, i am not taking advantage of the Temple of Courage, telling somebody about a new article is not advertising. Plus, i am sure a few quotes in the peanut gallery don't have anything to do with the Temple of Courage. Lets NOT debate of what we think and know, because this would lead to a GIGANTIC argument of insults, comebacks, and proving their points till the end of time.--Shade Link 12:58, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Umm, XYZ, you could have put that more nicely. Anyway, the point is, this isn't for discussion about things not related to the ToC, as I said. Everyone can read the recent changes page just fine, and spot the edit you made and then further expand upon that one. Let's keep it that way. --AuronKaizer! 15:49, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

(Biger sweatdrop) That was kinda random, AK... Sincerely, Watcher.

Is it just me or did all those anonymous votes for Zant come out of nowhere? They also seem oddly tied together, as if one string of horribly spelled sentences were made into 30-something votes. Katamariqueen 17:06, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Guess those Republicans are at it again with the vote rigging. Anyhoo, he's gone now. --AuronKaizer! 19:23, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Kinda hard to believe how one-sided this fight is. Looks like you were right AK: someone saying this fight is the coolest ever does make it one-sided. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 20:30, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

I tried to un-jinx it but it was already too late...guess we'll just have to watch Zant get kicked while he's already down until next week. unless AK wants to put all those ridiculous (not to mention totally legit, lol) anonymous votes back up, then maybe Zant might have a fighting chance. Katamariqueen 21:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Why is it that nobody keeps things like this long enough so we can bann the IP of whoever did it? Darkest-Link123 23:21, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Uh to Sorcerer Vaati, Zant didn't die when Midna impaled him with her hair spears. It did temporarily kill him but according to his dialogue Ganondorf eventually resurrected him. Zant was killed at the very end of the game when he saw Ganondorf dying and upon realizing that he's screwed anyway he committed suicide by breaking his neck. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 02:17, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

That's theory, man. The moment in which Ganondorf experiences a vision of Zant is riddled with such symbolism that even I haven't sorted it out yet. You have inspired me to think deeper about the entire series of events around Zant's "death," however. Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 01:23, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually it's not a theory. I dunno what that was at the very end of game when Zant appeared and broke his neck: a vision, symbolism, his spirit, he just popped out of nowhere etc. but I do believe it was just suicide since he realized that since his "god" is screwed he is too anyway. Also Zant did say to Midna and Link after they defeated him that Ganondorf will resurrect him. Midna then got real angry and impaled him. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 20:11, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
You're being very shallow on this. Just because Zant says he would be resurrected endlessly doesn't mean he was. I think it's very possible that Ganondorf found the guy useless and completely betrayed him, letting him die. Also, the phrases I made bold in your comment denote that yes, it is a theory, and not fact. Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 22:55, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Uh isn't it against the wiki rules to change someone else's message no matter how minor? Either way I don't like mine being rectified by anyone but me so I'm changing it back to normal whether you like it or not. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 23:36, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Umm...I was on when all those anonymous votes where on and I found that there was 35 of them in total. Crazy! User:Ccbermanzzpedia 2:21, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Now that I think about it all those anonymous votes for Zant are totally legal, just crazy, but they should be put back on, agreeing with a comment above me. User:Ccbermanzzpedia 8:15, same date as my last comment.

How the hell are they legal? everyone gets one vote, not 35. Metroidhunter32 01:28, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

True, thats why you get the IP and say "Hey guys they all have the same IP" and then bann it. Or you could use area code thats 95% chance their all the same person with just 2 people so I dont think anyone would argue. Darkest-Link123 01:34, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

The problem is that (most ;).) anonymous votes have no signature and it's difficult to prove they are the same person.

Have we no mods who wish to serve justice? Anyway you can check on the history, signed or not it will tell you the IP. You just cant find the area code this way you need a mod for that.Darkest-Link123 03:52, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

All right whoever put those on there was wrong, I'm just saying that a few of them might have been somebody else and then it would be wrong to take those comments away. You know what, just leave them ALL off and if the same person does it again just block them. All that I'm saying is that there is the outside chance that not all of them are the same person, and then it would be unfair to take all of them off. Either way it's crazy how many there were! User:Ccbermanzzpedia 10:05, April 17th 2009

No, that huge batch of rig votes were all put there by the same IP. --AuronKaizer! 14:20, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Okay, then keep them keep them off. I guess I was mistaken. It was unfair that they were all put on, and somebody needs to think of something that will prevent them from voting more than once other than honesty, but don't look at me to figure someting out because I'm not a computer wiz, I just come up with ideas. Maybe make a rule about anonoymous votes that limits people from voting more than once. Put it on next week so that no one gets upset, but don't say "Upset about what?" How the hell would I konw, people are wierd like that, besides it seems more officail if rules are changed or added in between matches, no? User:Ccbermanzzpedia 10:52 April 17 2009

There is no way of preventing that people vote more than once. Spotting such edits and removing them is basically our only choice. Would be cool if people could stop doing it, but you know what they say: people are evil. --AuronKaizer! 14:57, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

I see now, and well it sucks, but that's just me voiceing my gripes again, I shall look out for this vandal and will (if I notice him/her) shall report them imedately! And wow there were that many votes?, even if I counted them it's still a shocker! User:Ccbermanzzpedia 11:23 April 17th 2009

Wow. I think this is the most voters we have ever gotten. Majora has thirty votes for him alone. Even in big poe vs. Them, them/they only had 25 and then there all the votes for zant. That is a total of over fourty voters. Metroidhunter32 11:49, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Double Wow. Majora now has 40 votes! Zant has 17.5 and it looks as if there's over 70 voters so far! Portal-Kombat

Even though this probably has nothing to do with the ToC I just realized this and thought I should post this. If you think of roles as far as stories goes they're pretty much vice-versa of each other. In both MM and TP for a majority of the game you think someone is the main villain before it's revealed that another dude is the main villain. In MM the player originally thought Skull Kid was behind it all before Majora came into play whilst in TP we thought Zant was doing all this but Ganondorf was really behind it all. Anyone ever noticed that? --Big Poe=Nice Guy 20:29, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, same thing with Vaati in Four Swords Adventures. It's also blatantly overused in the Subspace Emissary of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. (all random villains work for Master Hand, who works for Tabuu) Also, in cases where one villain is controlled by another it usually feels way less climactic that way, save for Majora's Mask. I thought that it would be cool if you JUST fought Vaati or JUST fought Zant without some overused, tacked-on stupid villain with a bad haircut pulling the strings. Portal-Kombat

That is true and I did personally find Ganondorf's inclusion in TP unwelcome. Zant's aura of sophistication and sheer terror from the Mask he wore coupled with the very first quote his said in the game being outright ruthless and yet nonchalant ("So you have two choices: surrender or die!") made him tied to Majora as far as greatest Zelda villains go for me. Of course when it's revealed Ganondorf was just pulling the strings that did kinda make him less evil and when it was revealed he was a friggin' psycho that just made me hate Nintendo for a spell. They create an evil villain, an aura of evilness etc. and then make the battle disappointing-as-Hell. Shigeru has no problem doing this is recent times as shown in the final battles of TP and Super Mario Sunshine. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 23:26, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Super Mario Sunshine has the most letdown of a final boss ever, but Twilight Princess Ganondorf is very disappointing too. I don't want to say that a final boss can "make or break the game" because that's certainly not true, both Twilight Princess and Super Mario Sunshine were good games in my opinion. But lame final bosses do leave bad lasting impressions of the game. That's why awesome final bosses are so awesome (redundant) Portal-Kombat

In my opinion the biggest letdown of a final boss ever is probably Marluxia from the remake of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (which is the only KH remake that is available in the US). Bowser was an incompetent oaf and Ganondorf barely even appeared so when such a badass turns out to fall over like... damn it mental block can't think of analogy... but either you get what I mean. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 20:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Week 42: Postman vs. Quill[]

Postman (Twilight Princess)
Winner!
"Postman!"
Postman (Twilight Princess)
26 > 15
Quill

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present the 42nd week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! After the match, we shall provide you with free postal services!

In the red corner stands perhaps the fastest man in all of Hyrule. Running a lonely race, he delivers letters within minutes of their writing, can recognize his clients anywhere, and is brave enough to cross monster-infested fields: It's THE POSTMAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

And, in the blue corner, flies the Great Sea's most dedicated postman. He can deliver letters to all of the islands in the sea within a day, personally helps his clients when they need it, and will brave even the harshest of storms: It's QUIIIIIIIIIIIIILL!

Two of the best mailmen in the world going head to head in the fastest bount you've ever seen! Will you be able to keep up? Who will win? That, my dear voters is up to you! I can't hold it in any longer, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Postman[]

  1. I go for the postman,I like his face,I know that he looks like an idiot in Twilight princess but still,Quill looks almost angry all the time. --user: Fierce Deity Einar
  2. This guy just makes my day every time he shows up, with his strangely accurate hummings of various chimes in the series and of course, HEH, HOO, HEH, HOO! --Bek (talk) 02:05, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  3. This dude creeps me out with his constant creepy exertions of "Ya". I mean, is he related to Wakka or something? If only the postmen of our world were as dedicated as this guy, perhaps I'd get my mail order items on time. Also, he's likely to go "Postal" on that feathery dude over there. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 03:44, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  4. When you hear those tapping sounds on Majora's Mask and that catchy tune on Twilight Princess (and of course: MR. LINK WAAAAAAIIT!!!), It gives you a smile and calms you down from when you had a boss fight shortly before and you swinged your sword a lot. this guy gets my definitive vote! Hevehoc 07:14, 6 April 2009 (CET)
  5. The ones from Twilight Princess and The Minish Cap are ok, but the one I'm really voting for is the one from Majora's Mask. Such a tragic story, yet not overly sappy. Also, as a kid I liked the noises he made as he walked...don't ask me why, as I'm not quite sure myself. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:15, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  6. This guy is just EVERYWHERE, he turns up just when I least expect it and in the most unlikely of places.--Gbadude3sd 08:13, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  7. My vote is going for Postman. He's such a crazy character and somewhat of a stalker as well. I love stalkers! But seriously...It made my day having him running around all the time with his cute little hat, too busy to talk to me, yet not busy enough to follow me around as my personal answering machine service. Katamariqueen 14:34, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. Postman definately gets my vote. He's so dedicated to his work, he would fall off a cliff! He makes me smile with his little tunes. Plus, who else is brave enough to run around in their undies?Mrs.MikauShadLink 15:21, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  9. Postman because he ACTUALLY GIVES ME MAIL like he should, also because for some reason I am addicted to him saying "ya!" lol Darkest-Link123 15:25, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  10. I'll vote for the Postman because it's amazing how a monster hasn't killed him yet and he can recognize Link even when he's a wolf. Oddball464 10:29, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  11. well guys, i know i would vote for Quill, but this guy is MUCH better! plus, i always enjoyed running away from this guy and finding out his secret hideouts. the only thing Quill actually did was save Link from ganondorf, even though Link could have probably handled it himself. plus, even Ganondorf would be scared of this guy because of his constant stalking, staring, and an IQ probably with such a big number Einstein would probably be rolling around in his grave in a desperate attempt to break out so he can win the next intelligence show(or whatever you call those things when you quiz someone on their IQ knowledge), which would mean the postman could find a way around Ganondorf, and probably stare at him until Ganondorf backs away, goes too far, and falls off a cliff, or he would probably just sneak a bomb into Ganon's tower and kill him, because note that a SWORD made the Triforce of Power ditch Ganondorf and left him to die. And how else did he find out where Link is every month, every year, every minute, and anytime? And even how did he even get down the the savage labyrinth without a scar, or getting onto that part of the broken bridge in the beginning of Plumm's balloon popping game? Plus, yes i know it is not true, but how else did Hyrule Castle explode in Twilight princess?(wow i talk a lot -_-)--Shade Link 19:37, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  12. Postman..... ummm, well I think everythings been said about him, but he still gets my vote. User: Hyperwire
  13. HE. IS. SUPER-POWERFUL. I mean, really, you think he got through 45 floors of increasingly difficult monsters with, what, a sandwich or something!? Honestly. He's, like, The mailman. 'nuff said. --DekutullaZM 21:08, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  14. While the postman was annoying, he gets my vote because I hate Rito and think they look stupid. I als thought Twillight Princess was a better game than Wind Waker, but that is just my opinion.-BulbinSlayer
  15. This guy can reach the bottom floor of the Cave of Ordeals without a scratch on him. He gets my vote. MaloMart
  16. HEEEEEEEEEEY! Dude, the Postman is just awesome! I grin every time I see him - and he can get through the Cave of Ordeals. The Postman. In the Cave of Ordeals. That. Is. Badass. --Ryttu3k 07:13, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
  17. I'm not so crazy about TP Postman (his constant interruptions started getting annoying after while) but MM Postman is hilarious and also doesn't interfere with Link at all... you interfere with him. "Ah a gigantic hunk of rock is going to crush me and all of Termina in a fiery explosion and the only logical thing is to leave town. But I can't because the post scheduele is the most important thing to me despite the fact it's a normal job and I could just easily quit if I wanted to." I know those aren't the exact words but classic. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 11:23, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
  18. I was going to vote for Quill, but then I realized I was only doing it because he was in Wind Waker... and then I remembered that he made me sit through long and boring conversations with the Ritos, one of the things that annoyed me about the game- and the fact that Postman made it through the Cave of Ordeals is enough to make me vote for him. Portal-Kombat
  19. This is an obvious win for the Postman. He runs. He can deliver letters. Most important of all, he is a mighty warrior who is capable of powerful magic. How else would he be able to get to the bottom of the Cave of Ordeals? How else would he be able to recognize Wolf Link (try that one - it's freaky how he knows)? Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 22:52, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
  20. Definitely the Postman, he's been in more games and is a constant as far as mail goes in several of the games. Hero of Time 87 03:39, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
  21. A bit odd sure, but he does have positives. 1. A pretty cool hat. 2. more notable than quill. 3. in more games than quill. sorry guys but goin' for the postman. Also it is good to be back. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 00:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

  1. Sorry, Postman, you may be funny, but Quill got me out of a mess with Gannondorf, helped a lot more, and is much braver than you. Sincerely, Watcher
  2. I'd go with Quill, the postman just scares me, and Quill is a Rito anyway, they're cooler than most of the normal, average, slightly boring Hylian commoners. User: Iriadinh, Hero of Air
  3. Not particularly fond of either of them but i did like Quil better. he flew through a storm just to tell link something that was obvious. Oni Dark Link 09:20, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

  6. Quill can fly! Hes not annoying or ugly. Hes brave. He lives with a dragon for goodness sakes. He able to fly's through a storm. And another thing: HE IS NECESSARY FOR THE GAME. Need I go on?
  7. He saved by unworthy ass. So now I vote for him. We're even. Metroidhunter32 21:32, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  8. Well, to be honest, the other postman frightens me. Quill goes beyond his job to help Link out on many occassions. Sorry, postman, maybe next time. Daydreamer3173
  9. Quill is an awesome character who saves you and can fly. The Postman runs around, hides in the barn to read other peoples letters, and ummm... runs around. I think the choice is clear. Also, don't fight over it please, but I think the Postman was the freakiest character in the whole series besides Tingle (*shudders*). Turtleman579
  10. Quill is awesome. He's a great character, he actually helps you in Wind Waker, and he can fly. The Postman? I hate him. In my opinion, he's one of the most annoying characters in the entire series! Sir Real
  11. Awesome character. He can fly. And he plays a more substancial role in the plot! GO QUILL! --Freedle 16:19, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

  1. I always liked Quill. He looks so much cooler then that postman guy. Quill saves your live several times and he can fly. That postman-dude is already exhausted after a short run. He looks so fragile compared to Quill
  2. We have some guy with a flag on his back v.s. a bird man, who do you think is cooler? From, Midna Rocks
  3. I HATE the postman. Enough said.
  4. Quill would be a lot stronger
  5. Quill has more significance story wise than the postman who's just plain irritating
  6. the postman is S-T-U-P-I-D! quill actually HELPS you, postman just gets in the way. :|
  7. Quill acualy has a more important role in the storyline and HE CAN FLY!!!!!.:)
  8. Quill's just a pimp.
  9. quill has more of a personality and has good morals, postman just does whatever the **** he wants to

Peanut Gallery[]

Can't believe the Zelda II vs. Water Temple fight didn't go through. This is somewhat of a letdown. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 03:44, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

I can't believe Chudly vs. Cannon didn't make it... Dark Ridley 04:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

This past week was the closest I have ever seen. Postman vs. Quill, Chudley vs. Cannon, Water Temple vs. Zelda II, and Guru-Guru vs Composer Brothers all had a chance of winning. This one had +5. The other three had +4. --EveryDayJoe45 04:39, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Heh, guess that's a good reason for those who suggested them to re-suggest them in a while. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 04:43, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

out of all the above this is probly the one i wanted to go through the least. although i didnt oppose it i think. maybe i should of. a well too late now. Oni Dark Link 09:22, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

You did oppose it. You were the only one. --EveryDayJoe45 18:43, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Bulbin Slayer, you posted your vote benath the BIG, HUGE, OBVIOUS line. You are the weakest link. Goodbye. --DekutullaZM 21:11, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

ONCE MORE! WHY is it called the peanut gallery?? --DekutullaZM 21:11, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

I had considered voting an oppose on this one just so it was a four way tie but I decided that that would not be cool. Metroidhunter32 21:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

This is a PRE-note: Please ignore Bulbin-Slayers vote! He didn't mean it! Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:43, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

How would you know that? Anyway...NOW IT'S AWN PREGNANT DOG! FOO! --AuronKaizer! 00:51, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

DekutullaZM, this is called the peanut galery because many events have crowds of people watching them, moat people here come here every few days and this is where we coment and argue about pretty much anything (usually it has some thing to do with the current pole) get it? From, Midna Rocks

Actually, a "peanut gallery" is, and I quote WP (the bastards!): "A peanut gallery is an audience that heckles the performer. The term originated in the days of vaudeville as a nickname for the cheapest (and ostensibly rowdiest) seats in the theater; the cheapest snack served at the theater would often be peanuts, which the patrons would sometimes throw at the performers on stage to show their disapproval. The phrases "no comments from the peanut gallery" or "quiet in the peanut gallery" are extensions of the name." Today's history lesson. --AuronKaizer! 03:34, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

...Ack. My connection's being buggy - if a second vote from me appears, someone delete it? I've got to go, or I'd do it myself. Sorry! --Ryttu3k 07:37, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

i know its not my place to tell an admin this but... auron keep it clean (yes i stole your line again) Oni Dark Link 13:35, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

To AuronKaizer; I just didn't want a WW vs. TP fight to break out because of BulbinSlayer's vote. Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:38, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

wow, this was a quick fight. i am sure i know who is gonna win this game eh? you seem to be in a happy mood this week AK. ^_^ once again, great humor!--Shade Link 17:32, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Wow. Okay... You know, it makes ya wonder...were those salted peanuts? And if they were, did the audience suck the salt off before they threw the peanuts? Hm..... (The philosophizer of strange subjects, --DekutullaZM 23:31, 8 April 2009 (UTC))

Hmmm. As of know, Postman has double the user votes Quill has, whereas Quill has twice as many anonymous votes to the postman's. Interesting turn of events. --DekutullaZM 17:51, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Heh, the personality-less unregistered masses for the participant lacking personality? Cool beans. --AuronKaizer! 22:18, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Um, how many of you guys warrant the deletion of the anonymous vote for Postman? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:44, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Delete it. I was going to do it myself but it looked like some other votes were removed in the process, which doesn't make sense if they all voted for the same thing so I was stopped by confusion. Metroidhunter32 01:20, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Wait, why?--DekutullaZM 13:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Feel free to check the history to see what was removed; beware though, it's offensive. Hence why it was removed. --AuronKaizer! 13:39, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
wow it really was very offense Oni Dark Link 17:42, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Week 41: Big Poe vs. Them[]

A Big Poe
Winner!
"Them!"
Them
4 < 29
Them

LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! This week we have a fight of SUPERNATURAL proportions!!!

In the left corner we have the biggest darn poe around, Big Poe. Who is it? Where did it come from? NOBODY KNOWS!!!

In the right corner we have the mysterious ghost/aliens simply known as... THEM. These mysterious creatures will come at you endlessly until the dawn destroys them. If you don't stop them in time...?

Which of these supernatural enemies will win in week 41 of the TEMPLE OF COURAGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Votes for Big Poe[]

  1. Wow, to say I am shocked and suprised would be an understatement... anyway, you fight Big Poe, he is a mini-boss (more or less), big poe looks pretty cool, Them (they?) are just annoying to me... apparently I am one of the few whom ahve this opinion... Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 02:21, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
  2. Let's go Big Poe! SOLDIER1stJ

Anonymous votes[]

  1. They have nothing on Big Poe, spinning-lantern attack pwns all.
  2. Big Poe is awesome! THe aliens haven't got a chance!
  3. Big Poe looks like something, Them don't.
  4. You can call Big Poe fatty. That's all. Mr.Fairy

Votes for Them[]

  1. ok poes were awesome, key word WERE! i just simply love them who couldn't--user:collinbollin 12:32 2 April 2009
  2. Seriously, who would vote for a simple big poe when you can vote for Them?--user:Fierce Deity Einar 18:10 1 April 2009
  3. ALIENS!!!! What does a ghost have on aliens?--PoogMaster 14:29, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  4. Who doesn't love aliens in a game all about magic?! It's way off from the story line, which makes it so funny!! Mrs.MikauShadLink 15:22, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  5. The whole concept of them is awesome. They're so freaky. They could've been called just aliens, but they're called "them." The mysterious factor is just too much for me. Beside, most Poes just annoy the heck outta me. Daydreamer3173
  6. Im gonna have to go for these guys because they are truly my favorite side quest. Plus, cow-thieving aliens??? They are the epitome of awesomeness. Katamariqueen 15:58, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  7. The eerie music, their freaky appearance, the fact that they just keep coming, all tied in with their humorous attempts to abduct the cows made this fight very memorable. Also, how can you not love something called "Them"? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 17:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  8. Loving this suggestion. But "They" are much more eerie and mysterious... I gotta go eitht them. --EveryDayJoe45 17:42, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  9. I love this weeks. It's a tough call but I'd have to say THEM, freak me out every time I see them.Gbadude3
  10. I just LOVE aliens, not literally, but I am crazy about these creatures. I never encountered any of these guys, but I am sure that flying aliens that abduct ppl and wipe their minds can beat a ghost that just swings a lantern anytime! If a Big Poe flies up to a "They", then it will just float over the poe, land behind it, knock it out, abduct it, and wipe its mind or eat it!--Shade Link 19:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  11. Not a big fan of aliens, but these guys freak me out. Seriously, when you're in that field...you've messed up and forgotten to play the Inverted Song of Time to speed up the time, your aim sucks due to a bad controller and you're running out of arrows. That is TRUE fear. Make no mistake. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 19:09, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  12. They're coming. Tonight. The fight with these guys are way creepy and my twelve year old brother still leaves the room every time I go to fight these creepy aliens. The music also matches the fright of it so well. With big poes it is just a fight. With these fellows it is a never ending series of choices. Do you slow time down to slow them or do you keep it running normal to avoid running out of arrows. Is that one that comes from behind almost there? Do you go to stop him only to discover he was still far off and the others are now right next to the barn? Just a perfectly done survival minigame. Metroidhunter32 21:40, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
  13. This was perhaps the most intense fight in Majora's Mask for me. They're all over the place and I hate that while there are dozens coming across the fields, there's one sneaking behind the house and then you turn around and its headlights/eyes are right on you and that useless dog is yapping and running around in fear. Big Poe on the other hand, while a cool mini-boss, is less mysterious than these things. I mean, who knows if they really are aliens, or perhaps something completely different. Portal-Kombat
  14. No, SOD the Big Poes. These guys are INTENSE - creepy as hell, require skill and finesse, and what they do to Romani if you fail is downright terrifying. I mean, the kid looks like she's been lobotomised! Truly freakier than a few ghosties with lanterns - the Poes are just annoyances, They are FREAKY. --Ryttu3k 12:50, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
  15. love the music Oni Dark Link 17:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
  16. ...they lobotomized a farm girl. They've got my vote. Don't ask me why that's a reason to vote for them, it just is. I don't know why. Sir Real
  17. These guys are just creepy, they scare the living day-lights outta me. Big Poes are not really all that scary, just hard to catch. Them definitely get my vote, they are one the creepiest and mysterious monsters to ever haunt the Legend of Zelda serries. User: Iriadinh, Hero of Air
  18. I've faced Poes before, and they honestly just swing their lantern at you. I don't know about "Them", but they seem a lot better. Especially the fact that they are aliens makes them cool. Bkarcher97
  19. I love Them. I can never complete the quest with Them without playing the Inverted Song of Time because They are so darn fast. Oddball464 17:13, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
  20. Never heard of them before, but anyone who is both a ghost and alien, has an unlimited army, and are known as only "Them" has my vote. (Twilight Zone music plays; the show). Sincerely, Watcher.
  21. I would vote, but this seems to be finished already—Triforce4Triforce 14(...) 03:46, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
  22. Aliens. Need I say more?Solar flute
  23. Well acctualy i would like to vote for both but "Them" will get my vote (with a very small marginal) just because when i played LoZMM (i was about 7-9 years old) these guys totally freaked me out. I didn't do the playing back then, it was my brothers who played on the story line. Hevehoc 4:10 PM 4 april 2009 (CET)
  24. Reminds me of the X-Files... exsanguination... Pianist Link 05:48, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
  25. Them just keep coming no matter how many times you kill them. poes can die. plus, what they do to romani disturbs me. very few things can disturb me!--Molgera the octo 00:46, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Molgera the octo

  1. Duh, aliens referred to as THEM? that is soo cool.. and soo mysterious
  2. THEM are acutally scary. Poes...less.
  3. Have you ever failed THEM's event? I think it's pretty evil how they abduct a helpless little farm girl. From, Midna Rocks
  4. Fighting THEM is harder than fighting poes because THEM is actually a challenge and you have to be shooting arrows constantly or you will fail. It's aYeylso funny to watch what happens if you do fail.
  5. THEM look cool.
  6. I like Them , they are mystery and scary :DD (THEM) The poe are losers :P i play many zelda games too phantom hourglass majoras mask and more....
  7. <I Don't Like the Big poe what is they suppouse to be? They are not good at all,i like more the (Them) :DD 'They are wery cool and mystery , They are also scary xD I like em!! Name: Fierce deity Manuel¤%"#"

Peanut Gallery[]

Ok, this is the first time that the color has been adjusted universally for a column that is too dark. I did this so that we would be able to see the words without highlighting them or whatnot. If this decision isn't supported then it can be changed. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror 12:48, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
So how exactly does someone when something? Katamariqueen 15:55, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh God them is going to win by a rape Darkest-Link123 23:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

That is kinda the norm. Metroidhunter32 23:25, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Also the fanboys haven't cast their 30 lots in yet so hold judgment. Metroidhunter32 23:26, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Close game, eh fellas? anyways, I hope this week ends quickly, because 1. I want to see who wins after this, and 2. I am just bored, because it is not much of a fight here. Ah well.--Shade Link 20:09, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

I know I voted for this, but this is exactly why I like some of the "off-color" fights like Water Temple vs. Zelda II. I mean, no matter which way it goes, at least it'll be entertaining. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 20:11, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Wow, I've created the most one-sided fight ever. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:02, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Or is it?...Solar flute 05:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes you have Xykeb, good idea though. From, Midna Rocks.

Two good things has almost certanly came from it though. One we see that a lot of people have played one of the greatest zelda games ever. Two those who haven't will be curious what it is about them that is winning such single minded devotion and go play it. So the greatness continous to spread. Metroidhunter32 22:02, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

ive been surprised repeaditly since i jioned zeldapedia as to how many people believe majoras mask is better then ocerina of time (something i believe too) Oni Dark Link 16:28, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm a Majora's Mask fan. My second favorite Zelda game ever. Wind Waker is my favorite. Portal-Kombat

I personally like Ocarina of Time best. So many temples, so many amazing songs (all of which I have downloaded onto my iPod. Gamefreak? Nah) and an amazing story line. Majora's Mask is a close second, then Wind Waker, and then A Link to the Past. Yay for dorks! Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:26, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

That poor big poe...Darkest-Link123 03:13, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

aaa i like majoras mask the best. so many side quests and mini games as well as some of the best dungeon (even if there was only four) Oni Dark Link 13:55, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

The sidequests were what made me love Majora's Mask so much- three of the four temples were extremely difficult for me to finish (you can guess which one was easy) and the Moon Dungeon was so cool. Portal-Kombat

Great, another which game is better argument. From Midna Rocks

It's not an argument, as nobody is saying anything bad about the games that aren't their favorite. Sheesh, our track record is so bad, everybody always jumps to conclusions when anybody says anything about which game was their favorite. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:35, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Did somebody erase my name on my vote earlier or did I forget to sign it? From Midna Rocks

not that im one to talk but THEM certainly does create alot of bad grammer Oni Dark Link 21:56, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Which leads me to wonder why Zraliv suggested it in the first place O.o of course, the article's name was "Aliens" back then. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 22:32, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Why would I not suggest it just because it leads to bad grammar? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:35, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

because xyz (no offense now) you are quite obsesive about grammer and spelling (although not as much recently i notice) Oni Dark Link 22:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, I only oppose bad grammar if I can do anything about it. In this case, I'm not going to let it get in the way of a fight I'm going to suggest. And no, I'm just as obsessive, I just no longer have opportunities to do anything about it. Which is actually probably a good thing, given how annoyed people tend to get. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:43, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to disappoint you XYZ, but unless you created Sheik vs. Tetra (which, by my count, was 21>1.5) you don't have the most one sided fight ever. Or do you mean in proportion of votes? Sincerely, Watcher.

This is 24.5-2.5 at the moment, so "They" are winning by 22 votes, whereas Sheik won by 19.5 votes. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:55, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think the grammar thing should matter (again, sticking my nose where it doesn't belong.) I mean, they are referred to as "Them" in-game, aren't they? --Daydreamer3173

But we don't do that with real names. I don't say "Bob are cool". Likewise, it doesn't make sense to say "Them are cool". Also, she just says "Them" because it fits. I'm sure she would have said "They" had she said something where it would fit. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 23:41, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

yeah it does but thats what confuses things Oni Dark Link 19:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Ugh. I feel sorry for the Poe. Way to make the winner obvious, XYZ! Say...why's this called the peanut gallery? --DekutullaZM 19:43, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

This is a landslide. poor big poe is gonna have to do some serious come back. --Molgera the octo 00:54, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Molgera the octo

To late, cause the next fight is on! Sincerely, Watcher.
