Week 66: Granny vs. Syrup

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Courtesy of Zeldapedia, we bring you the 66th near-consecutive week in the (all together now!) TEMPLE. OF. COUURRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!! And this week, we have a fierce battle between two vicious wiccas; two brides of Satan; the wicked witches of any compass direction you please; yes, my faithful audience, this week in the Temple of Courage, we have for you two famous witches of The Legend of Zelda lore, who will get out their walkers for this one final showdown of terrible, bloody death! Now, the tale of the tape... In the blood-red corner, we have a mysterious old woman who can be found in the darkest corner of Kakariko Village...creator of the ultimate in potion-making, the Blue Potion, and owner of a fierce pet tiger as well as possible relative to many characters...THIS....IS...GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! And in the opposite corner, in some kind of neutral yellow, we have a wizened old witch who frequently makes appearances. Together with her apprentice Maple, she sells the finest and most esoteric potions of the distant realms of Hyrule, Labrynna and Holodrum! Quite likely to turn you into a spotted toad...THIS...IS...SYYYYYYYYYYYYRUUUUUUUUUUUP!!! Now you know all that there is to know about our two fierce magic-wielders! I feel as though I've said enough to make my point, so feast your eyes upon a BLOODUS CARNAGUS MAXIMUS! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLETTTTTTTTTTTTTTT'S GET READY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLEEEEEEEE!!!!
Votes for Granny It was the Blue Potions that helped me survive the final battles. Besides, she has a pet tiger and a cool store! I like the pet tiger. And she strangly looks less ugly yhen Syrup.. Pet tiger! Majoras mask is superior again. She's Got a fricken' pet tiger! she makes the blue potion! she aids you in the quest for a sword greater than the Master Sword! what more could you want? (and who the heck is syrup?) The Biggoron Sword and Blue Potions... They were really, REALLY handy on my three-heart challenge. My vote goes to this one. And Granny only shows up in two games, and only one where she sells potions. I like her character better, but she isn't really a witch. User:HeroofAwesome Syrup is better because her potions are (usually) inexpensive and although she is harder to access (Lake Hylia in the Minish Cap) her potions are well worth it (Big Octorok would have been near impossible without her Red Potions) and she looks more like a with to me. --Voraciouscrawmad (talk) 19:53, October 2, 2009 (UTC) Syrup is more "usefull", Granny is only good for newbs buy a blue potion before battling Ganondorf first time CaioNV Syrup has been in far more games than Granny, and she makes more magic stuff than Granny does, as far as I remember. And her assistant, Maple, is far more likely to kill you by crashing into you than Granny's tiger kitten. Sir Real Anonymous votes Syrup has a hat! Plus she played an important role for me in AlttP, I couldn't have gotten 1/2 magic without her, whereas I never actually got the biggoron sword til the second play of OoT, and that was honestly just for fun. I too have never used Granny (or even stopped by her areas), in either game, whereas I have used Syrup nearly every time I could. One vote for the witch with the "sappy" name!

She plays a more substantial role in other games like A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, and The Minish Cap, where she gives you important and/or necessary quest items. Week 65: Deku Butler's Son vs. Flute Boy

		Winner! "Deku Butler's Son!!!" 20.5>18.5
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to present to you the 65th week in the TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! And now, for your entertainment, the Battle of the Lost Boys! In the green corner, we have a withered stump-like boy. Lost to unknown causes, he was to work with nobility, was the fastest of his kind, and may have been transformed into a mask; it's the DEKU BUTLER'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! And in the blue corner, we see an anteater-like boy. Sucked into the Dark World, he plays his flute in hope of rescue, can astrally project himself, and is a talented flute player; here's the FLUUUUUUUUUUUUTE BOY! So, two small boys lost to circumstance shall face off this week. But only one will be found. Who will it be? That, my dear voters, is up to you! I want to stay found, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!
Votes for Deku Butler's Son I love the mystery and ambiguity behind the Deku Butler's Son. This is one of Nintendo's better stories; just enough story provided for people to understand what's going on, but not enough to make it blaringly obvious. And you've got to consider the fact that he is quite possibly the spirit in the Deku Mask. If he lives in a swamp, then he's gotta be pretty cool, I mean that Southern Swamp is AWESOME. Twili Tetra The Deku Butler's Son is one of my favorite side plots in the entire LoZ series. Its subtlety and emotional significance are sublimely placed in an already dark and lonely game. In fact, this sub-plot features prominently in my fan fic I'm currently writing. Him and his mysterious story are the icing on the cake in MM. Deku Hero The Deku Butler's Son is like such a bôss. You can clearly tell that he does not smell of elderberries. I think Deku Link is cuter and more mysterious ;) I love the ambiguity present in his story line. I dunno, I just like him better. I haven't played either game... His story is so sad, creepy, and ambiguous, how can you not love him? I give my vote to this guy cauz I hate that flute boy!!!! deku son for the win ,i mean come on at the very least he gets a pity vote right? 50/50 on this, but I gotta vote for the poor tree. the flute player doesnt DIE and deku but's son does; you can see the dad mourning him...(sniffle) Cybrwulf I love this guy! they both stink but i like him better Having played and beaten all but two Zelda games, I can honestly say that this story was one of the only ones that really touched me. Seeing his father there at the end and realizing what happened to him was one of the saddest moments in the whole series. And you didn't even know who he was! He was so damn mysterious when ou first encounter him. This guy's flute is so convenient! Plus I never liked the Deku Mask... I agree with Narus Maiden,the fluit boy plays very good music. The fluit boy was better than the deku butlers son. But i feel pity for him because he was killed before he got to where ever he was going.the fluit boy remides me of skull kid because of the fluit and playing it in a part of some woods. Skull kid is one of my favorite bosses Becuse of MM. That is why I voted for The fluit boy.:) Fuit boy plays a ocarena and I LOVE the ocarena (INSET HEART HERE)

Week 64: Mayor Bo vs. Mayor Dotour

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We at Zeldapedia proudly bring you Week 64 in the pretty, shiny Temple of Courage! This week, a special treat for our dear voters: two masters of municipal government going head to head! In the kind of tannish-yellow corner, we have the tough-as-nails mayor of beautiful Ordon Village! He's the only human to ever beat a Goron in sumo wrestling, he's got some wicked body piercings, and he has no control over escaping goats in his village, he's MAYOR BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! And in the violet corner, seated in his throne that looks a bit too regal to belong to a mayor, it's the apathetic, somewhat disinterested mayor of hustling, bustling Clock Town! He hates long meetings, he loves hair gel, he's MAYOR DOTOOOOOOOOOOOOURRRRRR! And so, two mayors get out from their offices for a brawl to the death! Who will triumph? I don't know, don't ask me, it's your decision. Without further ado, LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMMMBLLLLLE!

He was just so memorable and for some reason I can see a kind of "roadtrip" movie with Link and Mayor Bo going off to save Hyrule, or going to find a legendary treasure, or going to White Castle, whichever comes first. There's just nothing I really liked about Dotour. He only gives you a Piece of Heart for the Couple's Mask which you go to great lengths to get. Portal-Kombat Bo's much better. Quailord Mayor Bo has a certain degree of awesomeness for being able to take down a Goron in a wrestling match, even if he cheated. Dotour was actually a platypus, rather than one who smells of elderberries. And he's composed entirely of Phailons. Tusks, sumo wrestler, first human to beat a Goron in a fight, he's got my vote Got my vote cause I feel like it!! He can take down a goron in a wrestling match, witch is all they do, and he has the coolest mustache known to man. He has my vote hands down. He was gorgeous in that fight with link, so I could learn how to beat a goron easily and in my opinion, that was really useful with Bo, their's mooore to loooooooove :P The man can sumo wrestle, has an awesome mustache, and keeps a pair of Iron Boots in his house! Does Dotour keep Iron Boots around? Didn't think so! i vote for bo cuz i liked the pointless mini game ^_^ ARE YOU SERIOUS?! MAYOR BO IS AWESOME! He is so cool! Plus he's in the only game out of these two that I've played. Oh, I forgot to add that he's the only character in Zelda that gets Link to take his shirt off. He is hot! Bo might seem like a better mayor, but Dotour is in charge of a bigger town with a larger population, so obviously it would be more difficult for him to do his job, and the town seems to be in pretty good shape. He has to worry about problems like "the moon is gonna fall, what do we do?". What does Bo worry about for his town? "Oh my gosh there's a stampeding goat"? Seriously, Dotour works hard, even if it isn't showed much in the actual game. Votes for Carpet Merchant Okay, 200 Rupees for Bombchus is a little ridiculous, but at least they're actually useful compared to the extremely fragile Giant's Knife. Both merchants price their merchandise at 200 rupees, but the more useless of the two has got to be The Giant's Knife. The carpet merchant sells bombchu, which most people consider useless, but I disagree.. there's plenty of things you can do with bombchu if you try to find them. The Giant's Knife, however breaks after like ten or so swings, and becomes more useless in combat than a rusty butter knife. Bottom line, bombchu can be useful, but the Giant's Knife is not... especially since you can get the Biggoron Sword FOR FREE. Medigoron is probibly sitting on piles of dirty money from that thing by now... i think the medigron because he gives you a sword the sword is better than dum bombchus!

His one lingering regret is that he could not find a subject unto whom he could pass on his life's work, his dance. Translation: IT'SSSSSS KAMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAARRRRRROOOOOOOO! And in the red corner, we have a strangely familiar looking dancer. All day and night he tries to use the power of dance to control the flow of time, sadly ignorant of the fact that only song can do that.
