Week 5: Link vs. Princess Zelda[]

Link Artwork 1 (Twilight Princess)
Winner!
Link

Link!!!
12 1/2 > 7
Princess Zelda Artwork (Twilight Princess)
A battle between the Legendary Hero, Link and the Princess of Destiny, Zelda!

Votes for Link[]

  1. User:Dark Ridley:Hmmm....Master sword vs.......what, some Light arrows she stole from Link...and a sword she never uses....
  2. Hero of Time 87 19:12, 14 May 2008 (UTC) Link, hands down. Ganondorf, an equally powerful sorcerer on par with Zelda, could not defeat the Hero of Time, the Hero of Winds, or the Hero of Twilight. Zelda herself was defeated even when possessed by Ganondorf. Link has that inate quality of courage and know-how of how to win a battle enough that he can overcome magical attacks. Beyond magic, Zelda doesn't appear to be that talented with a lot of weapons beyond a bow and arrow. Link would win this fight, just as we saw in Twilight Princess. The handwriting's on the wall there.
  3. Dido Mr kmil
  4. Hahaha. Link has the Infinity +1 Sword and a ton of weapons. He kills the most ferocious creatures in how many lands? Oath to Order 21:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
  5. I count seven. Sure, Mind beats matter, but if matter is the master sword.... My Vote for Link! User:Count Caterpie 08:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
  6. mr. popo:Link always save Hyrule.
  7. If Zelda miraculously gained the power to not get captured all the time, I'd vote for her. Murchadah 02:58, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
  8. Mario vs Bowser56 10:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Link is always the hero and Zelda needs to get saved in most Zelda game and Zelda has been a boss in Twilight Princess.
  9. Kperfekt722 20:24, 17 May 2008 (UTC) Link Always Has To Save Her. This Is A No-Brainer.
  10. UberPhoeb 01:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC) Link is the hero in the series. He has the awesome equipment plus all the Triforce. Zelda may have the Triforce of wisdom, but right now, Link's on his home turf, as in, he could destroy her any day of the week. Also, Link has the Master Sword, and he has a sheild, Zelda has a sword she never uses, and... nothing else really.

Vidiman 22:27, 20 May 2008 (UTC):I think Link can win! After all, LINK has a sword, a sheild, some items, and some other stuff.Vidiman 22:27, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

  1. hands down victory. he can beat everyone she can't beat and has saved her many times (and hopefully many more times).
  2. In every Zelda game, exept for windwaker and all games not in hyrule, Zelda has been captured by Ganon, Vaati, and Bellum. In all of those games Link has been the one rescue her. Besides the games for Phillups, which are considered non-canon, Zelda has done nothing to help link in her original form (wwhich means not as shiek or tettra) besides to teach him the song of time and give him the orcarina of time. By popularity and fighting skills Link would win for sure.
  3. HANDS DOWN! ZELDA POSSESSES MANY SKILLS, AND THE TRIFORCE OF WISDOM, BUT AS THE HERO OF TIME, AND THE PERSON WHO ALWAYS RESCUES HER, LINK WOULD WIN WITHOUT A HASSLE. (note when Ganondorf controlled Zelda, Link still one)

Votes for Princess Zelda[]

  1. AuronKaizer: Link kicks ass and all, but especially in the later games (Twilight Princess and the Smash Bros. series) she is one of my favourite characters. Brown haired Zelda owns all others any day of the week by the way. You could say it's a pity vote, but it ain't.
  2. XXXXX 15:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC) You know, this really is a popularity contest, as stated by the rules, and she's my favorite character. (Including in the Super Smash Bros. series)
  3. though i pefer her blond she has cool attacks in SSBB/SSBM--Power courage wisdom and time 20:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
  4. I just think Zelda would win. RyuHane 19:48, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
  5. emem123292Zelda dosen't have enough votes, so i vote for her.

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Her name is in the title of the games...Mwa ha ha!!!
  2. Link could never defeat her, simply because he could never bring himself to seriously hurt her. That's the unfair advantage all girls have over good boys such as Link.
  3. Zelda wields the Triforce of Wisdom, and typically is much more aware of herself and her capabilities before Link is. A pre-emptive strike would give her the win.

Comments[]

one has the sword of evils bane but can it really kill someone not evil?--Power courage wisdom and time 20:08, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Someone said that Link would win in a FIGHT! This is a popularity contest everyone! Read the rules! From an angry XXXXX 21:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

While it is a popularity, technically, one can have any reason to vote for whoever. As long as rules are followed on how to vote (don't remove coding, ect.) it doesn't matter why you vote. Oath to Order 21:48, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Come on guys! This is Link, the hero of the game verses a girl who he doesn't even have to save. Mr kmil

It's not an actual fight, as mentioned before. Ish popularity contest yesh. Zelda is more popular with me, so Zelda = winzo0rz. --AuronKaizer 23:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Week 6: Hyrule vs. Termina[]

Hyrule
Winner!
"Hyrule!!!"
17 1/2 > 9
Terminia

Votes for Hyrule[]

  1. Kperfekt722 17:24, 21 May 2008 (UTC) First, if a may note, I have yet to lose a fight, I'm 4-0. Hyrule will win, no doubt. In fact, Hy-rule's :)
  2. LadyNorbert 17:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC) I have to vote for Hyrule -- I've never been to Termina. ~_^
  3. Hyrule is better than Termina --Power courage wisdom and time 19:27, 21 May 2008 (UTC
  4. Vidiman 21:18, 21 May 2008 (UTC) I've always known that HYRULE was the best! It's the home to the most famous HYRULE characters.
  5. Hero of Time 87 22:04, 21 May 2008 (UTC) While Termina may be a bit more technologically advanced (which is debateable seeing the Hyrule of Twilight Princess), Hyrule has the backing of not only the Triforce but the blessing of the Golden Goddesses themselves. Hyrule was their chosen favorite of all realms they created, and like God's chosen world of the Earth in this Universe, the Goddesses would come to Hyrule's aid over Termina. What's more, Hyrule was obviously able to fend off Ganondorf's attack the second time around when they were aware, and I suspect that they could fend off an attack from Termina as well. Termina is an interesting place, but Hyrule is even moreso because of its history and ever-changing landscape. With the might of the Golden Goddesses and the Triforce protecting it, Hyrule would ultimately triumph over Termina.
  6. Mr.popo:Termina gives me nightmares 500 rupees. I LOST 500 RUPEES
  7. ZeldaFanatic98 21:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC) Hyrule is just cooler. Termina's kinda a rip-off of Hyrule, and we only see it once. Hyrule's the better of the two.
  8. DarkBeastGanon 21:51, 22 May 2008 (UTC) let's see....termina's got four orange giants protecting it while hyrule's got the goddesses themselves at its back. who's gonna win? that's a no-brainer, since the giants seem to be guarding termina under their orders like the light spirits guard hyrule. termina was just an accidental by-product of hyrule's creation. hyrule has the triforce as well, something that gives it a HUGE advantage over termina. hyrule obviously beat ganondorf's gerudo army when it attacked the second time, which led to his capture. if they could win a battle against an army of well-trained thieves like the gerudo, they could certainly take on the terminans as well. termina has none of these things, plus they didn't have much of an army at all really, while hyrule at least had soldiers at the ready to defend the country against ganondorf. termina would just lose, no doubts there.
  9. Golden Power 22:00, 22 May 2008 (UTC) Hyrule. Definitely Hyrule. It's where it all goes down. We only see Termina once in the whole series...*cough*....in one of the weakest games of the series...*cough*.
  10. Mr kmil Hyrule Was where Link was born! Hyrule appears in more games!
  11. User:Gamer07 Hyrule is a whole lot bigger and cooler. If you are a true Legend of Zelda series fan you would vote for Hyrule.
  12. UberPhoeb 22:10, 26 May 2008 (UTC): I vote Hyrule. (shortness!)
  13. HylianTrooper: HYRULE RULES!!! besides, termina has a moon that has a face, and thats just not something you see evryday huh?

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Hyrule will destroy termia becuase it has ganondorf plus he could lead his army there and take over intantly
  2. The godesses did create Hyrule, and remember, Termia was just an accident.
  3. Hyrule has its own organized and trained army. Termina was just an accident.
  4. Hyrule of course; It has more locations and dungeons. Plus Termina is just a parallel copy of Hyrule.
  5. Real VS Fake. Would have to be genuinally ill to think the Termina stood even a fraction of a chance.
  6. Hyrule is what it says: Ruling High over any other
  7. Hyrule. it's where the Zelda Series grew up. Zelda wouldn't even exist without Hyrule.
  8. Hyrule is where most zeldas have occured and the best zelda OoT and it has the best locations
  9. *sigh*......Both places are great and are even side-by-side eachother (so I heard), but to say the truth, Hyrule is the best for one reason, it is the main stay in majority of Legend of Zelda games. Termina was a sweet change, only for a short bit though. It would be nice if it had more games based around it.

Votes for Termina[]

  1. Zaraber: You know? I came here to vote for Hyrule, but then it hit me. Termina really is one of my favorite settings out of all the games I've played, Zelda or not. With each incarnation of Hyrule you see some key things like Death Mountain, Hyrule Castle, etc. In Termina you start the game with no sense of location, but in a very good way. I'm afraid Majora's Mask has stolen my vote.
  2. AuronKaizer: What can I say? Depending on which of the incarnations of Hyrule you're referring to, Termina's got most of them beat, with it being one of the most compelling, diverse, beautiful and downright weeeeeeeird gaming worlds ever seen by me. San Andreas go home!
  3. Termina is a unique land, and it isn't being used again and again and painfully again. I love Termina because it isn't recycled. I love how the characters are the meshes from OoT, and it gives it a suspicious feel and an "I'm home" feel. You've got a beach, you've got a snowy mountain, (I love ice climbing) a swamp, a forest with a dark tinge that makes it so cool. Then you have the canyon, and the river, and Termina has all the stuff Hyrule lacks. XXXXX 18:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
  4. Termina's a little more interesting. It's got a mysterious feel to it. And AK, I just picked a random Hyrule map. Oath to Order 17:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
  5. TatlTael 17:00, 21 May 2008 (UTC): Termina is the place where Majora's Mask takes place, which is ni my oppinian one of the best Zelda games ever. If you love the game, then you've got to love the place where it happens, especially since that's the place where all of the action happens
  6. Mr. Murch 21:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC) I'll go with Termina. I've never played Majora's Mask, but Hyrule is getting old (like people named George Bush in the White House)
  7. Ganny321--Hyrule is always in danger.
  8. Demonic Knight: I have to go with the Terminians for a few reasons. One is Romani Ranch. Now I know this might not seem important but if the Terminan millitary were given a continuous supply of Chateau Romani, their magic users would be all but unstoppable. Also, the Terminians have an additional race, the Deku Scrubs. Scrubs are little more than savages in Hyrule while in Termina they have established their own civilization wich likely has a formal millitary. Also, given their current track record, so to speak, it seems unlikely that the Three Goddesses would interfere directly to assist Hyrule whereas the Four Giants of Termina seem all too happy to fight along side their worshipers. These factors give the Terminians a massive tactical advantage and I seriously doubt that even Hyrule could stand against them.

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Termina rocks. Besides, where else can you get masks that allow you to shapeshift?
  2. Termina is at a tactical advantage, as said, myah. I also think that it's stupid to make them fight when there's evil in the bushes, but.....myah...Termina is technologically advanced, already out of the age of castles and dragons and beginning its entrance into the age of guns, motors, cannons(though Hyrule has this as well), modern governments, and a much MUCH more competent military as can be observed, myah...The Hylian Knights jump onto tables when they see a (non-bombchu) mouse, whereas the Terminian Civil Protection seem very competent, and are very compassionate of their swordsmanship, as can be observed from the lack of bomb-users in and around the central town. A few denizens of this area seem to even be on the verge of inventing muskets, which have an obvious advantage over bows....and they'd probably be blessed more easily because of how publicly announced the Great Fairy is, as opposed to the shyer great fairies in Hyrule. Termina has large advantages, myah, and it would be foolish to overlook them just because Hyrule is more popular. On another note, most of the species(strike the Zoras) are now at least in touch with modern tech, espescially the Dekus. Now, I'm glad we've gotten to this topic, myah, but these Dekus are much more organized and, all by themselves could pose a great threat to all of Hyrule as they are, with their military tough enough to throw LINK HIMSELF out the door, even in Goron form, and their obvious advances in architecture which probably required the help of at least simple machinery, possibly even weaponry to guard themselves from the swamp beasts, they are just as much of a threat as Clock Town Civil Protection, and have even pushed me to making my own OC a Deku Scrub Kid, myah. Also, the presumeably "all muscle and nyo brain" gorons now have the same technology of the Hylians, myah. I rest my case.

Err, I don't know if you read this already HoT87, but it's a popularity contest. Whether or not Hyrule is more theologically, technologically or even logically sound than Termina is a moot point. You like it more? Say that instead. I'm not trying to be an asshole here or anything, but you're also confusing other members. I'm sorry, but to actually make people pay attention to the rules they must be enforced. --AuronKaizer 23:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Err, I don't know if you noticed AK, but popularity is based on countless things to individuals, and to me, it's based on favoritism, strength, character, and common sense. You may want to re-read the rules because they say, and I quote: "You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that week." I try to stick to the general thought we all have of which would triumph if put up against it. So I think you need to reevaluate your idea of this contest because "popularity" is a vague thing, and many things go into it. Your idea of popularity is more closed than mine I'm afraid, I'm more open-minded. It's you that's confusing members by trying to strictly force them to choose based on favoritism alone. And I am not trying to be rude, but I don't think it's your place to try to tell someone how to choose their opinion. Hero of Time 87 00:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

What happened to the suggest a fight part of the temple of courage user: solar flute

Weakest game in the series? No sir. That goes to Twilight Princess. Oath to Order 19:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but Twilight Princess was one of the greatest to come since Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask was a rip-off of Ocarina of Time, taking it apart and putting it back together with a weak plot. Definitely the weakest game in the series. Golden Power 22:17, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

No sir. TP is a weak attempt to reproduce OoT. MM is a completely original. It has the best characters in the entire series, personality wise. The Three days is one of the most unique ideas ever. And Majora is a villain of villains. Oath to Order 22:41, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually Twilight Princess has a lot of innovations and funnier puzzles than Ocarina of Time and the Majora's Mask changes you're talking about are just three horrible days that make you going back on time and losing all your itens.--Ganny321

I honestly agree, Ocarina and Twilight FAR outweigh Majora's Mask. Majora's Mask was really just a repetitious game that basically took Ocarina of Time apart and put the pieces back together a different way. Twilight was actually the most original game in a long time, whereas Majora's Mask was an obvious attempt to repeat Ocarina, hence all the identical charcters and appearances. It's a great game, don't get me wrong. It's just very far from being the best game of the series. Twilight was one of the best to come in my view as well since Ocarina of Time. There was nothing original about Majora's Mask, b/c it was Ocarina put together a different way, like Golden Power said. Hero of Time 87 00:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, you're way off on Majora being the "villain of villains." Almost everyone here reserves that place for Ganondorf I'm sure, and the characters are quite the opposite (weak repetitions of what they were in OOT). The three days gets old, and you always lose your items. If anything was a "weak attempt to reproduce OoT" it was Majora's Mask. Twilight Princess was the best game to come since OOT by far and wide. Golden Power 00:42, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

i'm not saying Twilight Princess is worse than Majora's Mask but as far as orginality goes its just as guilty as Majora for copying OoT. The Dungeons and their order is a prime example. 1st dungeon inside a giant tree (Deku Tree), 2nd inside a active volcano (Fire temple), 3rd underneath a lake(water temple) need I mention it was drained when you got there. Hey forest, fire and water; well then have a master sword before you walk into a Wind Waker dungeon remake (Temple of the Gods), next enjoy the temple that combines the spirit and shadow temple together. I know zelda games tend to follow the same themes but all Twilight Pincess does is recreate the adult half of OoT.

I agree there are several shared elements between Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time (but honestly, which games don't), but you're wrong about it being completely a remake of it. The only shared thing I see between them is Forest, Fire and Water as you said. But beyond that, those other things don't really have much legitimacy. Majora's Mask was a BLATANT rip-off of Ocarina of Time. Twilight Priness had A LOT more originality to it than you give it credit for. And no, it's not equally guilty by any means. Majora's Mask was far more blatant, that's just being honest with ourselves. Hero of Time 87 04:53, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't wanna fuel the fires here, but I consider neither to be rip-offs of Ocarina of Time. But there's just no plain logic in stating that Majora's Mask is more of a "rip-off" than Twilight Princess, seeing as Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess are more similar than Majora's Mask. It's not like it's possible for Nintendo to "rip off" their own creation anyway. --AuronKaizer 22:17, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually, Majora's Mask was a very blatant repeat of Ocarina of Time. Just look at it: the child and adult Malon, the reuse of the Adult Ruto, the reuse of Nabooru under a new name, the reuse of Twinrova as good witches this time, the list goes on. They literally took Ocarina apart and just put it back together again a different way to get Majora's Mask. That is an obvious reuse of Ocarina of Time. Twilight Princess was actually original in countless ways with minor references to Ocarina of Time, such as some of the temples and items. But a floating city in the clouds, a realm of twilight complete with a palace, the introduction of Snowpeak, etc. There was a lot more originality to Twilight Princess than Majora's Mask. As I said, let's be honest with ourselves. That's why it took less than 18 months to make Majora's Mask, because they already had its major pieces in Ocarina of Time. All they had to do was break it apart, put it back together a different way, make up some new names, and voila: Majora's Mask. Hero of Time 87 01:25, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

It should be noted that the concept of a Twilight Realm is not original. It's a blatent rip off of the Dark World from Link to the Past. Demonic Knight 08:10, 27 may 2008 (UTC)

No, it's different. The TR os:

  1. Not a parallel world to Hyrule.
  2. A completely different civilization.
  3. Not the Sacred Realm.

Viola. XXXXX 18:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

But in the same way, the Twilight Realm can be compared to the grim state of Hyrule in Adult Link's time in OOT, whereas MM has a different villain for starters, that has new depth and a twist from the traditional tale of Ganon. It's set in a parallel universe, so I think the reuse of characters is more of a quirk than anything. They've even reinvented them with different jobs, characteristics, etc. Of course the whole series follows the same basic outline, especially since they had to follow Ocarina of Time, not an easy task. Plus, Majora's Mask sees Link with the ability to turn Adult (Oni Link) AND morph into other species with the masks (also a brand new feature). Elements of music, transformations, time travel and just plain epicness. - Anon.

Week 7: Agahnim vs. Zant[]

Agahnim
Winner!
Zant
"Zant!!!"
6 1/2 < 21
Zant

Votes for Agahnim[]

  1. Demonic Knight: He's not my favorite villain but at least he was honest. That bait and switch Zant pulled was completely unforgivable.
  2. Never played the game, but I'm just doing this out of pity since he only has 1 vote... Mr. Murch 18:54, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  3. I haven't played with Zant yet. But this might change seeing that I've just ordered TP. Mr kmil
  4. Master Vaati As an anon said before, Agahnim stopped a war, etc, etc without the help of Ganon, so...
  1. i know enough about both to say that aghanim is the wiser of the two, and the more durable. - solar flute

Anonymous votes[]

1: We all know Zant is going to win. Regardless, I like Agahnim better, since he's mentally stable ;)

2. well, agahnim was able to sacrifice all of the maidens and zelda. that has to count for something. In addition, he was able to do all this without the help of Ganon. He was even able to take out the king and take control of Hyrule. Before that, he stopped an entire war and brought peace to Hyrule. Anyone can start a war, but it takes a lot to actually stop a war. Zant was a nobody until Ganon came along anyway.

3. Agahnim... he's the original baddie under the baddie. I mean, Zant is cool and all - I, personally, hate his guts because he's lame, but that makes him a good villain - but Agahnim seemed to be a lot cooler. He pretty much took over Hyrule - that's a pretty accomplishment for an underling!

Votes for Zant[]

  1. Kperfekt722 04:20, 1 June 2008 (UTC) NOW THEN, If I May Be An Asshole, I Would Like To Remind Everyone That I Am Now 6-0! My Money Is On Zant... It's not so much a vote for Zant... To me it's more a vote against Agahnim :D
  1. Zaraber: I'll have to place another vote for Zant. He was very good at being a villain up until he stopped covering his face. Even after that, he was still not bad at being a villain, but he wasn't as cool. Agahnim was kind of a jerk, but not much else.
  2. AuronKaizer: Not that I particularly like this looney toon and bad excuse for a villain, but Agahnim has like...no charisma. Battle of lesser evils I suppose. 04:28, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  3. I agree with AK. While Zant was a disappointment, Agahnim was one even more so. Oath to Order 15:12, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  4. After some consideration, I'm also voting for Zant. He might be off his rocker, but he was at least an interesting addition to my TP fanfic.  ;) Agahnim doesn't really have anything going for him in the way of plot. LadyNorbert 15:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  5. XXXXX 15:49, 28 May 2008 (UTC) Yes, as I've said before, "Zant is a few dozen sandwhiches short of a picnic," but Aghanim could have easily been taken out of the game. Zant is freaky, creepy, contortionist, mental, and addicted to pot, but out of all that, I vote for him because he is crucial to the game he's in.
  6. Power courage wisdom and time 19:58, 28 May 2008 (UTC) Zant is way more cooler than Agahnim not to mention i like his sword skills
  7. Vidiman 21:30, 28 May 2008 (UTC) I thought Zant could win since he has Twilight Powers. And he's really tough where Agahaim could be taken out by Zant easily.
  8. Hero of Time 87 22:11, 28 May 2008 (UTC) While Agahnim was a manifestation of Ganondorf's spirit, so too was Zant a housing for Ganondorf's might. And both presumably had the same power source: the Triforce of Power. Zant also has his own magic of the Twili race, which also gives him an edge over Agahnim since Agahnim's power was simply Ganondorf's power. Zant was a master tactician, conquering all of Hyrule in a very short time with little effort. Agahnim meanwhile had to work his way into the King's confidence and had to use the Seven Maidens' power to break a seal he himself couldn't. Zant was a masterful fighter and a skilled magician. When all is weighed, Zant seems the more formidable opponent given his great fighting skills, powerful magic, and his masterful knowledge of conquest. Zant would win, hands down in a one-on-one duel. Hero of Time 87 22:11, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
  9. User:Gangsta guy 1020 21:59, 28 May 2008 (UTC) Zant rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I think the both of them are losers who need Ganondorf power to rule, but Agahnim is even worse than Zant.--Ganny321
  11. User:Dark Ridley: WOW.....something I suggested made it. YAY.....and I think Zant has better spells.
  12. Zant was my favorite boss in LoZ TP. i like him a lot. I vote for him.UberPhoeb 18:37, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
  13. Zant was my favorite guy to fight heck even if he did do crazy things he was a strong guy to fight Zant has my vote Pit the Angel
  14. zant's awesome nuff said--Lord link 02:24, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
  15. TatlTael 24:04, 31 May 2008 (UTC) I haven't played either TP or ALttP, but Zant REALLY creeps me out. I mean, just look at him! Besides, Agahaim took control over Hyrule by betrayal, and Zant took over Hyrule by power and brute force.
  16. Zant looks way better and I've played a link to the past and agahma or whats his face to the left is totally not going to win so ya. go zant User:Hangman64
  17. I have to say Zant, both were "Puppets" of Ganon, but Zant seemed to freely do as he pleases, and not at Ganon's will.

Plus, I have to say his battle strategy was quite unique and well devised.~DekuBaily

  1. there is no compatition here zant wins
  2. Even if he is crazy, Zant is awesome in my eyes. It was fun fighting him
  3. he is just plain awsome
  4. i liked the fight with him. very fun.
  5. Zant, all in all, is NOT a cool villain. He's just creepy. However, he is powerful, and did much more damage than Agahnim did. Also, he was a bit more featured....anyway...if I recall correctly, correct me if I'm wrong, I recall Agahnim only able to copy weaker ganondorf. Zant was unique, and, all in all, more powerful than Ganon, BUT, his insanity left Ganon the power of manipulation and intellect. However, if Zant had his wits about him, he could easily usurp Ganon. Think about it; Twilit Messengers vs. Bulblins. Which Ones? And does ganon have telekinesis? I don't think so, I don't think so...and neither does Aghanim.
  6. Zant. End of story. Zant. He's got like flippen powers and after all, he is a king. so Zant.

BAZALINK Zant would kick Aghanim's @##. Just look at them, Aghanim looks like an extra from Aladdin and Zant wears the helmet that looks like a devil frog!

X, your remark about Zant smoking pot made me choke on my lunch from laughing so hard. Thanks, I needed that kind of giggle!  :) LadyNorbert 15:58, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

This reminds me of a squash match. --AuronKaizer 12:58, 30 May 2008 (UTC) it's 3 < 17! End it! ~~ UberPhoeb 15:01, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Week 8: Aquamentus vs. Gleeok[]

Aquamentus
Winner!
Gleeok
Gleeok
6 < 16
Gleeok

Votes for Aquamentus[]

  1. Demonic Knight: This is the very first boss of the entire series. That's gotta count for something.
  2. Cheetacuz007: Aquamentus is a dragon with a horn! Plus he's just way more awesome than Gleeok.
  3. Master VaatiAquamentus simply pwns Gleeok. He is 100000000000000000000000000000000 times cooler than Gleok!
  4. happyjoe6: Aquamentus, because Gleeok is just bloody unfair. No way to damage it apart from just standing in front of it and letting it hit you? I hate fighting it.

Anonymous votes[]

  1. KA: I agree.
  2. Aquamentus, DUH. he's a classic. and even though Aquamentus is a little bit easy, Gleeok is always a blowout.
  3. ...to be honest, I have no real opinion, but I feel REALLY bad for Aquamentus, so I'll vote for him.

4. What the heck, he looks cooler

Votes for Gleeok[]

  1. AuronMenthos: Aquamentus is pretty much just a pushover in Oracle of Seasons, and not much else in the original game. The battle against Gleeok in Phantom Hourglass is pretty fun. You go figure.
  2. User:T0manat0r Gleeok hands down. Aquamentus is only the first boss in the game, and although he deserves some credit for this, it does not warrent a vote for it. Gleeok for the win.
  3. Fighting Gleeok in Phantom Hourglass was one of my favorite parts, and Aquamentus was pretty boring in Oracle of Seasons. Plus Gleeok has a unique battle strategy, switching between two attacks. DekuBaily
  4. This one is better. Aka, this one sucks the least --Murch (dah dah dah daaaaah!) 18:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  5. OtOcon^_- 19:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  6. Mr kmilSpeak or forever hold your breath Its so much better.
  7. Gleeok, because he has more than one head and usually does in each of his incarnations. This enables him to better attack an opponent. He'd be the more formidable of the two. Hero of Time 87 21:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  8. Well, though I have battled nether I have read up on them both, and for one thing, aquamentus is the very first boss before EVERY OTHER GAME! and also you would battle Gleeok later in the game so defanently GleeokHangman64
  9. Two heads are better than one. Dark Ridley 11:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
  10. XXXXX Talk to me OR ELSE! 15:02, 5 June 2008 (UTC) The guys got two heads! It reminds me of Twinmold from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and anything that reminds me of MM strengthens my vote. Plus, Aquamentus was easy.
  11. 2 heads are better than 1 HA! Gleeok has kewler name! UberPhoeb 18:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
  12. zimster42 Gleeok has got to win!!! He(?) has three advantages: 1. two heads; 2. heads are shielded; 3. fire and ice are lethal in combination with each other. Besides, I like the look a lot better.
  13. Unfortunatly, I Am Going To Have To Vote For One Of Them If I Wanna Continue My Undefeated Streak... Farewell Aquamentus... Kperfekt722 20:29, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
  14. I personally think that Gleeok looks way more like a dragon (A single horn typically characterizes, say, a unicorn - Not a very dragon-like trait in other words), and something that doesn't look like what it was designed after doesn't get my vote. Also, the Phantom Hourglass Gleeok fight was awesome. Xykeb Zraliv 23:09, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
  15. He made his battle in Phantom hourglass fun. solar flute

  1. Aquamentus only appears in two games, while Gleeock appears in three. Plus, Aquamentus is only ever in the first dungeon.
  2. Gleeock has two heads instead of three, do start with. If that's not enough, each head can use a different fighting style (which is heck if you don't get the pattern yet).

  • OH HELL YEAH! LOOKS LIKE I JUST GOT MY FIGHT!!!

THE GREATEST BATTLE OF ALL TIME. IN THE HISTORY OF THIS SITE, AND ANY OTHER. AQUAMENTUS AND GLEEOK ARE THE GREATEST MONSTERS OF ALL TIME. AND IF I MAY CONTINUE TO GLOAT, I AM 7-0, ABOUT TO MAKE IT 8. I AM SORRY BUT I CAN'T VOTE FOR MY TWO FAVORITES OF ALL TIME. ALTHOUGH MY MONEY WOULD BE ON GLEEOK I FEEL AQUAMENTUS IS FAR MORE MEMORABLE. OVERALL: AQUAMENTUS WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS FOR ME IN THE ORACLE OF SEASONS, BUT GLEEOK IS FAR TOUGHER. WINNER: GLEEOK! Kperfekt722 19:49, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

  • FYI, Aquamentus does not appear solely in the first dungeon. He is also found in level 7, as well as in the second quest. LadyNorbert 13:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • I also want to add this is clash of the past and present. Aquamentus was from the very first game, while Gleeok was from the latest game, making this seem very interesting at the least.DekuBaily
Looks like the past is getting a real paddle on the bee-hind >:) --AuronKaizerAccolades! 19:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Just so we're clear, is this about Gleeok in general or specifically the one from Phantom Hourglass? Xykeb Zraliv 17:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Doesn't Gleeok only appear in Phantom hourglass? I may be wrong though...DekuBaily

Gleeok is in Legend of Zelda and Oracle of Seasons as well as phantom hourglass

Yes, Gleeok appears in those games too, but that doesn't answer my original question. Are we talking about all Gleeoks or just the one in Phantom Hourglass? Xykeb Zraliv 02:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Well, you asked the question that we answered. And we're talking about all the Gleeoks. XXXXX Talk to me OR ELSE! 02:22, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

What are you talking about? My question wasn't answered until you answered it just now....It was DekuBaily's question that got answered. Xykeb Zraliv 03:46, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

  • When I pitched this I meant ALL incarnations of gleeok. and aquamentus, but hes only in 2.
