Week 114: Acro-Bandit vs. Hokbok[]

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! Brought to you by Palmoral Sunblock, it's the one-hundred-and-fourteenth battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!. This week, we have a battle between two rarely encountered enemies that require repeated usage of weapons to destroy, as they consist of layered segments which must be destroyed one by one. Do not confuse these enemies with the similar strain of cacti, lest you suffer their anger. Let's meet our contestants in the ring!

In the yellow corner are enemies that attack only in groups, and are only found near Lon Lon Ranch. If they spot unsuspecting passers-by, they will burst out form underneath the earth and attack them, while standing atop one another. To fully defeat these enemies, the hero must defeat all of them once their "tower" is "razed". THEY. ARE. AAAAAAAAAAAAACROOOOOOO-BAAAAAAAAAANDIIIIIIIIITS!!!

In the orange corner is a curious multi-segmented enemy that bounces around. When damaged, they send the segment bouncing after the hero in an attempt to hit him, and subsequently quicken their pace, making it a challenge for even the hero of Hylian lineage. THIS. IS. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOKBOOOOOOOOK!!!

There will most definitely be multi-hit combos during this fight, so keep your eye on the Ringside Combo Meter we've installed for just such an occasion. If they hit over 42, ladies and gentlemen, you all win the great prize of unmitigated violence! Yeah! Temple of Courage Industries, Inc. takes no responsibility for attendees hit by dislodged body parts! Now then... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

  1. Hokbok is a rip off of of one of those cactus things in the mario series. Don't even know what he is anyway. (first annonymous vote)!
  2. Hokbok's are copies of Pokey from the Mario series, whereas Acro-Bandits are original.

Rebonack
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEASANTS AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOOBILITY!!! It is indeed a special battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE (of yore)!!! This week, we have the greatest jousting match in the history of The Legend of Zelda. Two creatures astride... other creatures will battle to see who takes home the Cherished Golden Lance (of yore), or something like that. Let us meet our battle-hardened riders on the central field! Hearken well to these words of wisdom (of yore), friends!

In ye green corner, we have the Ruler of all Bulblins, whose mount is the Ruler of all Bullbos. He serves the wicked usurper of the Twili throne, and battles the hero on many occasions, often defying apparently certain death to return to the field of battle. Upon being bested in the gardens of Hyrule Castle, he acknowledges him as the stronger side and provides the means for Link's entry into the castle, no longer the servant of the false king. THIS. IS. KIIIIIIIIIIING BUUUUUUUUUUUUULBLINNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

In ye blue corner, we have a Guardian of the Great Palaces of Hyrule, and a leader of the feared Iron Knuckles. Clad in blue armor, wielding a huge lance and riding a pale blue horse, this powerful knight deters the hero in his quest on a multitude of occasions. Upon the loss of his mount, he engages the hero in melee combat to the bitter end. THIS. IS. REBOOOOOOOOOOOOOONAAAAAAAAAACK!!!

These two riders are getting impatient, so as soon as the King gives the word, the battle will begin. *waits* Oh certainly sire, take thy time cleaning up that spilled mead (of yore). Well, neither the fighters nor the spectators can abide any more delay. I may get beheaded for this, but LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

Votes for King Bulblin[]

  1. I don't know Rebonack, and he's pretty generic-looking to me, while King Bulbin is and honerable warrior, and a survivor, did Rebonack survive falling off not one, but TWO bridges? That's what I thought. Jioplip
  2. King Bulbin is just plain awesome. He helped Link in the head, thus means Link could not have gotten to Gannon Without him User:DekuScrubzRule
  3. He's totally awesome. Plus, a mechanical horse has no place in zelda. Hello Doggy
  4. So true unregistered person number one! Not to mention this guy is a powerhouse who makes Darknuts and Iron Knuckles cry for their mommies. He is capable, stupid and mighty. Those are one of my favorite villain types. He's got an army of annoying, stupid and somewhat mighty enemies. Plus, his mount is AWESOME!! 6. King Bublin is a boss and rebonack is like almost a common enemy in like every other non-zelda game plus in another game have you seen a guy fall off two amazingly high bridges and live then come back and help the main hero.... no i thought so. Vaati Reborn
  7. Whats with all the Twilight Princess hate? King Bulbin is a unique enemy unlike Rebonack, which is just a plain Iron Knuckle after he gets off his horse. Stop hating on Twilight Princess! It has more depth than Zelda II will ever have.Empeoror Jami 20:27, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  8. please everybody, lets hear it for anything not Zelda 2 related. Bulbin is superior, both in the fighting, the plot he's a part of, and especially the game he's in. Ricorum (talk) Ricorum (talk) 04:08, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

  1. In the Fire Emblem series, axes beat lances. Plus, he looks bigger and stronger, and fell off two bridges and survived.
  2. Rebonack's horse doesn't have giant horns so... King Bulbin wins this one. He's also a man.
  3. King Bulbin was probably the funnest boss to beat, I love riding Epona!
  4. o.o. what. HOW. IS. HE. LOSING?!?!??!? EDIT: #5, shut up and stop copying me.
  5. What... What. What? What?! WHAAAAT?! He's... Losing?! No blippin' way! He MUST win! King Bulblin is a badass!
  6. Okay Rebonacks are really easy to beat and King Bulblin is too. But he has a bigass axe that sends you like a mile back! Go King Bulblin!!
  7. Bublin just wouldn't lose, he kept getting up and with better weapons or protection. Bublin has to win.
  8. He's just better!!
  9. King Bulblin is just waay better and its fun fighting him all four times, and i mean who didnt love the jousting fights with him.
  10. i dont know.. but i just like King Bulblin, he looked good in the trailer and the fights with him were awesome 8D.
  11. He fell off a bridge TWICE, got out of a burning building, provided one of the best horseback battles EVER, and was so kind he practically stood around and waited for Link to kill. WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! Oh yeah, and zelda 2 sucked
  12. Ummm... Who's Rebonack? Btw giant axes own pointy little sticks...
  13. No madder how many times Link deafeats him he gets back up and whants to continue fighting. Top that Rebonack!
  14. King Bulbin is one of my favourite enemies from tp just because he is so cool and fun to battle.
  15. He has a huge axe. Enough said.

Votes for Rebonack[]

  1. I find his name awesome (despite the fact that it's probably incorrect or whatever) and he was a challenging fight(s), not like that bloated, overstayed-his-welcome slapstick element that was King Bulblin. Lances are also way cooler than axes. Not the Bass kind, though. --AuronKaizer! 19:53, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  2. He has a floating horse made of metal. Is their any reason more than that needed? - McGillivray227 20:11, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

  5. EVIL WIN! KING BULBIN SECRETLY GOOD... EVIL WIN!!! AmazingLinkAmazingLink 20:38, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  6. According to that artwork he's left handed. That coupled with him being from Zelda II sparks all my prejudice when voting. Plus he's just way better then tubby over there Oni Dark Link 22:30, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  7. I haven't played either game, but I think Rebonack looks cooler. And I agree with McGillivary. --The One And Only Guitar Hero Talk to TOAOGH You can't believe everything online, that's what started WW1 23:32, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  8. When mounted, King Bulblin has no weapon, giving Rebonack the clear advantage. When engaging in melee combat, King Bulbin uses an axe, and Rebonack uses a sword, which beats axes in Fire Emblem. Jedimasterlink (talk) 23:44, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  9. I started to type my vote in the King Bulblin section, but I can't. Rebonack deserves the win. I also agree with McGillivary.--Ingo the great (talk) 23:49, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  10. See King Bulbin is cool and all, but not as cool as Rebonack. And Rebonack actually has a cool orginal mount, unlike Lord Bulbo.-- C2 / CC 01:02, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
  11. Despite having never reached this point in Zelda II, the truth of the matter is that King Bulblin just isn't a very enthralling character. Not bad necessarily, but from what I know of Rebonack, he's just, well, better. Or something. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:18, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Rebonack could beet king bulblin blind folded
  2. While I've never heard of this guy Rebonack, he looks more interesting than the green guy whose name I forgot. Though he was quite annoying in Twilight Princess. So my vote goes to this guy!
  3. Bot that I fought this guy, I like him better.. I guess because of the horse.. King Bulbin or whatever doesn't really stand out that much to me..
  4. While I have never played Adventures of Link, I am an Iron Knuckle fan. Besides, I often got annoyed with crashing into Lord Bulbo during the jousting segment that required the bow.
  5. Rebonack looks pretty strong! I don't know much about him but I think he could beat King Bulbin!
  6. I have always had a hard time with Zelda II and I finally got it together about a month ago and am almost done with the game I always die at least once on Rebonack when I face him. Twilight Princess was just plain easy and I never did get stuck like I did in Zelda II and King Bulbin was one of the easiest "bosses" (if you could call this weakling a boss) in the game. My vote is for Rebonack!!!
  7. It's all been said!

Week 112: Byrne vs. Nabooru[]

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! For the benefit of Mr. Kite, Zeldapedia brings to you the quite smashing one-hundred-and-twelfth battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURRRRRRRRRAGE! This week, we have a battle against two famous ninja-esque characters, both of whom are revealed to have a bigger purpose during the course of their respective games. Let us meet our contestants in the (Moon)ring!

In the blue corner is a mysterious masked Ninja, who wears a powerful gauntlet on his left hand. Initially, he serves as the servant of the one who seeks to revive the feared Demon King and proves a formidable opponent for the hero. However, after being betrayed by his master, he joins the side of good and eventually makes the ultimate sacrifice for the powers of good, redeeming himself. THIS. IS. BYYYYYYYYYYYYYRRRRRRRRRRRRNE!

In the red corner is the leader of the Gerudo, an almost all-female tribe of thieves residing in the western desert. Despite being the subordinate of the great King of Evil, she does not see eye to eye with him, and indeed, attempts to ruin his plans by obtaining the coveted Silver Gauntlets that bestows great strength upon the wearer... however, she is spirited away by evil twin witches. After she is freed from their spell and the witches are defeated, she is revealed to be the revered Sage of Spirit, and aids the Hero in sealing away the King of Evil. THIS. IS. NAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORU!!!

If you look towards the center ring, you will see nobody, for these powerful characters are utilizing their powers of ninja secrecy... but be assured, they are ready to fight for Ultimate Ninja Supremacy! The Kunais and Throwing Stars and whatnot will fill the arena during this epic power battle, so be sure to buy some protective gear from the concession stands before the match begins. Speaking of which... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBLE!!!

Votes for Byrne[]

  1. Byrne is a better, deeper character. He also has magical abilities and a giant, mechanical arm. Nabooru is just another annoying person in OoT that is implied to have romantic feelings towards Link, and they're a dime a dozen or whatever the expression is. She also needs to put some proper clothes on. -Isdrakthül 23:23, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
  2. I like Byrne because he looks cool, has a freakin gauntlet on one hand, and has a pretty neat story and surprising identity. J-man Zelda Fan 00:04, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

  7. Gotta go with Byrne on this one. He's just so much cooler, not to mention a freaking ninja! CrazyReDead
  8. This one is tough to choose but not only is Byrne a deeper character but I think he would actually be able to win in a real battle. Although it would have to be by decision after all the rounds are over. --Birdman5589 (talk) 06:32, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
  9. Byrne may not be the most creative villain or have the most interesting boss fight, but the guy's pretty cool in his own way, even if that way is sort of stereotypical. Nabooru...just did not interest me. She just seemed like a filler to fit the role of the Spirit Sage. You'd think she'd at least have the inegrity to make less manly grunts whilst brainwashed and in a big magical suit of armor, but nooooo, she has to pretend to be just like the things that already appear twice in the dungeon without her. 10. As much as I like Gerudos, Iron Knuckles, the Spirit Temple and Nabooru in general I have to go with Staven. 21. It feels weird not voting for the person from OoT, but Byrne would actually win in a fight. Aside from when she was brainwashed, Nabooru didn't really fight anything. If she fought anything like the other [female] Gerudos, she could give Byrne a hard time, but that's pushing it. Notice how they both have to do with spirits, though? Corfid Bizna
  22. Byrne earns this vote simply for having 3 theme songs, regular, battle, and freaking epic! But he also goes a step further, having powerful magic, offensively and defensively, a giant claw, and an extremely touching and heartfelt death scene.- Jioplip
  23. I had trouble deciding between them. I voted for Nabooru the last time that she was in the Temple of Courage, and I didn't vote for Byrne the last time that he was in the Temple of Courage. Also, Bryne looks really cool. TheMidna 02:26, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Byrne was fun to fight! Plus, it was touching when he died.
  2. Byrne is waaay better.
  3. Byrne is just such a amazing character.
  4. Byrme is awesome as a character and is awesome as a fighter.
  5. Byrne is just awesome. He had a personality, and he sent Alfonzo flying into a train, just OWNED Link when they first met, and the fight against him is challenging. Plus, his music is epic.
  6. i like his arm 8D
  7. Byrne is awesome. He sacrified himself to save Zelda, and this makes of him a hero. Plus his mechanical arm is cool.
  8. I say Byrne. His name sounds like "Burn" so its cool.
  9. Byrne would definitely win this fight. He could definitely beat Nabooru's butt.
  10. I hate the Gerudo. In most games, it's because of a Gerudo that link has to fight (and work with) a gazillion noobs and die fifteen times! And the Gerudo kept spotting me in Gerudo Fortress...
  11. In Ocarina of Time, Nabooru is enslaved by somebody that link can beat solo. But in Spirit Tracks, Link needs Zelda's help to take out Byrne. I think you can tell who's better. (And for all you Nabooru fans, it's not her.)
  12. Blame it one my love for ninjas to vote for byrne.
  13. Byrne totally PWNS
  14. Byrne is waaay better and I cried when he died!! I also love his theme song.
  15. Byrne has a role in the game, Nabooru just comes part way through. Plus his music and are are cool.
  16. I really do like Naburoo, but Bryne is more memerable and dies a great death!
  17. Byrne looks cool, is stronger and hilariously swept Link away..
  18. Byrne is FREAKING AWESOME!!! I haven't even played the game and I like him! :D
  19. Byrne Is just so much cooler, look at his arm!
  20. Byrne's fight and music are way better. Nabooru's fight is almost the same as any other Iron Knuckle in the game.
  21. He was just cooler, hands down!
  22. Byrne was my favorite boss in spirit track so ,i vote for him

Votes for Nabooru[]

  1. Now, don't get me wrong; it's not so much that Byrne doesn't own, 'cause he does, but I just plain find Nabooru more awesome, not to mention a tougher boss battle. 'Sides, she's a woman, and liking women as I do, I vote for 'em occasionally. Her story was an interesting one... not to mention her appearance in the Abridged Series! What in the name of Crocodile Dundee is going on? Mmmm, dat's classic bro. Byrne, come back when you're a little, mmmmm... richer, and not so much a Spirit Tracks character. --AuronKaizer! 23:17, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Nabooru actually WANTED to help Link, Byrne only helped out cuz he wanted revenge for being tricked. Plus, Nabooru kicked serious butt in OoT, and Byrne.... well he just plain sucked. Lincas1Vaati (The Minish Cap) 23:41, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Nabooru all the way. Byrne was just a side kick; Nabooru was the Sage of Spirit. I'll go with the one that was captured by the best bosses in OoT.
  2. idk who byrne is and idc.
  3. I gotta start out with that, Nabooru is much more fun to say then Byrne. Next, Nabooru is a sage. And last but not least, the iron knuckle fight (where Nabooru was the Iron Knuckle) was just plain fun, where as, I didn't really enjoy the Byrne fight.
  4. Don't get me wrong here. Byrne's awesome, but Nabooru is insanely hot!
  5. I like Byrne better, but he probably couldn't beat Nabooru. She's a SAGE for crying out loud! Plus, the Iron Knucke battle was, like, epic.
  6. Nabooru is awesome! Plus, she's the Spirit Temple's sage, and that was by far my favourite temple.
  7. redheads rule! lol. but serioulsy? nabooru hands down. *evil horns*
  8. Weeell... Who the h3ll is this 'Byrne' guy? xD And nabooru is a non-evil Gerudo! And... Gerudos pwn all. (except Zoras... maybe. <.< >.> )
  9. Shes the sage of spirit how could you go wrong, and shes the only sage you can fight. So take that Bryne. (thou you are so really cool)
  10. Nabooru is a butt kicking gerudo. Plus who dosen't love gerudos! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOO NNNNAAAABBBBOOOORRRRUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Nabooru all the way!
  12. Nabooru is a) the leader of a group of female thieves, b) a sage, plus she tried to defy Gannon, and she's just awesomeness, okay?
  13. nabooru is a gerudo and cool
  14. Gotta Love her
  15. I do hope your kidding right?, Nabooru versus Byrne?!, Mabooru was an awesome sage from the most popular game in the franchise and Byrne is from Spirit Tracks... This one is obvious.

Week 111: Shadow Beast vs. Stalfos[]

Shadow Beast
"'Stalfos'"
Stalfos

19.5 < 37

Stalfos
My dear Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Grubbs, Chubbs, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles and Proudfoots!!! Today is the onehundredandeleventh burfdey, errr, fight in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOURAGE Alas, eleventy-one fights is far too little for such excellent and admirable users. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. Oops, what? Anyway, yes, we do have a battle for you. Let's meet our monstrous creatures in the ring.

In the grey corner are beasts who dwell in the ominous twilight. Once sentient beings, they were corrupted by the evil of the twilight and turned into raging, thoughtless beasts. They rarely attack outside of groups and have the ability to revive their fallen brethren, if they are not all destroyed in one fell swoop, with their soul-piercing shrieks. THEY. ARE. THE SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADOW BEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASTS!!!

In the blue corner are a group of reanimated skeletons found in the dark areas of the world. Once, they were being such as you and I, but after becoming lost in the maze of the Lost Woods, they were transformed into powerful eldritch creatures of evil. They often attack in groups, and often require the use of objects other than a sword to be fully defeated; if not defeated quickly enough, they are occasionally brought back to "life". THEY. ARE. STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALFOS!!!

I regret to announce — this is The End. I am going now. I bid you all a very fond farewell. ...Okay, now that that contrived reference to a legendary fantasy novel series is Over_With, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

  2. I vote for the Shadow Beasts. Stalfos are easy to kill. All you have to do is slash after you blocked their attack. 1. Shadow beasts are much more fun to fight.
  2. Shadow beats are way cooler.
  3. Shadow Beasts are fun to fight, and they're more special since they only appear in one game. Besides, I got stuck in the shadow temple in OOT- A Stalfos kept knocking me off the edge...
  4. I really desliked the Stalfos in OoT when I was younger, 'cause I could never beat them. I also failed hard at their WW versions. And the Stalfos that only die by a bomb explosion are the dullest ones.. I only liked MC Stalfos.. Shadow Beasts are much more fun to fight, especially with Midna's help..
  5. As much as I would love for the Stalfos to win here; this is a "who would win" deal. And since Stalfos don't have the Spin Attack, nor do they have the awesome power of Midna's... Hairdo... The Shadow Beasts would just come back to life every time, and eventually get in enough lucky shots to take the Stalfos down, slowly but surely.
  6. I love Shadow Beasts, because you get to show Iza how cool you are AND you get a FREE BOMB BAG!!! :) Plus, Stalfos are just plain creepy and if you're out of bombs, you're out of life. They're also in my least favorite dungeon- Arbiter's Grounds. BLEAH!!! Also, Shadow Beasts are Midna's people, and the Twili are SOO COOL! So Shadow Beasts get my vote (even though it looks like we aren't going to win)
  7. The shadow beasts can't die, they will call eachother back.
  8. Stalfos are to easy to kill, the shadow beasts actually pose a challenge.
  9. I vote for shadow beasts because I think Stalfos are to easy to beat.
  10. Shadow beasts are cool.
  11. Shadow Beasts can call each other back to life. I doubt a Stalfos could learn how to do a spin attack!

Votes for Stalfos[]

  1. Shadow Beasts are pushovers. The whole group defeat thing was a cute trick, but these are freakin' Stalfos we're talking about. During my first playthrough of Ocarina of Time, I was going completely crazy with anxiety as I was trying to make my way down the collapsing Fortress of Barad-Dur before the timer expired. And then, of course, who would appear but my dreaded enemies, the Stalfos? I could not seem to defeat those dudes. I eventually made it out just two seconds before the timer expired. Now that embarrassing memory will haunt me forever. Yeah, did the Shadow Beasts ever amount to a challenge that's even 1/1338 of that? No. Besides, they're (re)animated skeletons with swords, what more could you want? --AuronKaizer! 23:21, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Would have to go with AK here..I remember first seeing these in the Forest Temple on OoT and being completely freaked out by them...ahhh, good times. Besides, the battle with the shadow beasts was just minorly annoying but over all quite easy. 7. Shadow Beasts are sort of cool, but Stalfos are just better in every way. The "beat them all at once" concept was interesting at first, but it got old real fast. Stalfos, on the other hand, are always fun to fight, and while they're pushovers for me nowadays, back when I first played OoT (when I was five or six or thirty-eight or something...I forget the specifics) they were the perfect difficulty for me. There's something that's just more fun about the pressure of killing the second one within the time limit than having to group a bunch of enemies together to pull some contrived ninja wolf move that seems like it was created around the concept of the fight when really it should be the other way around. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:34, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
  8. Yeah, the Shadow Messengers are pretty cool, and hacking them down is fun, but only because they go down so easily. Stalfos, however, are pretty much hardcore enemies even by themselves. (Unless you hit them with a Ball-and-Chain, but whatevs...) Anyway, Stalfos are just friggin awesome on top of that. Not to mention that part of the Shadow Temple in OoT with the giant boat and three jump down to fight you. That screams "EPIC!" AnonymousNayru
  9. When Shadow Beasts were top-design, they were just too easy, when these skeleton guys actually were a challenge in most of their appearances. Win. lunarChild 13:12, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

  25. Another one for undeadness. Bjarnster (talk) 13:36, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
  26. Shadow Beasts are just too fragile. I can kill them with the Ordon Sword in my sleep. Stalfos are actually a challenge, especially in the Past Spirit Temple in OoT. They are a better enemy from a gameplay standpoint, too. Corfid Bizna
  27. Stalfos are fun to defeat and were personally my first favorite monster to destroy in the Forest Temple. The Shadow Beasts were far from fun, but more of an annoyance. OoT Freak

  1. Stalfos. When I hear that name, I think of the battle at Ganon's collapsing tower and the battle on the boat in the shadow temple. I loved making them fall of the boat. Best day of my life.
  2. The Stalfos are so kind in OoT that, when you are Z-targeting its buddy, it justs waits for you to finish him off!
  3. Stalfos were here first, whereas any kind of shadow enemy is just plain annoying. I hate that roar, but escaping Ganon's Castle with a time limit...fighting Stalfos...was epic.
  4. I gotta go with stalfos.
  5. Stalfos is just too awesome, shadow beast is so easy. All you do is round them up and do an area attack with midna.
  6. Stalfos are so cool.
  7. Stalfos are AWESOME! They pwned me the first time I played. Shadow Beasts are just... odd...
  8. I'm actually very torn on this one. I would have to say that I'm siding with the Stalfos only because they're a bit harder to kill.
  9. stalfos are more classic.they appeared in a lot more games.(and they were easier to beat)
  10. I like undead things because they're undead and they're things.
  11. Shadow Beasts are very strange, considering they make a demonic scream whenever you slash at them. Stalfos, on the other hand, are the best classic enemies next to darknuts!
  12. Would I pick the losing side?
  13. Staflos are Wayyyyyyyy cooler.
  14. Stalfos are better enemies and are wayy more fun to fight, such a great classic zelda enemy :D
  15. Stalfos are some of my favorite enemies, combat-wise. The Shadow Beast fights become as routine as tilting the control stick, but Stalfos... they can't be described. Besides, even when you've defeated all the Shadow Beasts, you can keep entering and exiting one room just to fight Stalfos. Besides, you can push them off the edge in two rooms. Is the awesome or what? Besides, they've been there from the first game. Shadow Beasts have been in one game. Ha!
  16. Stalfos are the best and they are more traditional, what more is there to say?
  17. Stalfos why? because they can recover on their own while the Shadow Beasts rely on one another to revive them.(Plus their cooler)
  18. Shadow Beasts are okay but the real mony goes to stalfos for being one of the most famous enemys of legend of zelda the first being the like like second are the ReDead
  19. I like Stalfos more...Shadow Beasts are just annoying.
  20. Stalfos are fun and cool to battle, as for shadow beasts i can't say the same...

Anonymous vote 2 for Stalfos is funny. AnonymousNayru

Yeah it is and who did the intro cuz I don't see one. Tabs34

Shadow Beasts are cool, except for the fact that it's hard to defeat them without Midna. Stalfos is REALLY scary to me! I always get chills when I know there's one around the corner... How do you choose?? -Werewolf

Shadow beasts are easy, stalfos are annoing in most games incredily hard in OoT and down right freaky in TP, has anyone noticed that when there is that mutipule incarnations of someting most people usully comments only on the one in the picture new sig--User:Majora's Warth's ReincarnationReincarnation 20:55, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

That is actually exactly the opposite of what "most" people do. You see, in this case we are referring mostly to the OoT Stalfos, because one of the similarities between the two combatants is that they can revive each other, something that Stalfos in most of their appearances cannot do. If anybody referred to a different type of Stalfos, it would be, while not technically wrong, somewhat weird and not following the intent of the fight. Of course, it would seem quite weird to actually put Stalfos (Ocarina of Time) in the ToC title, so it's sort of to be expected, especially due to the sparsely descriptive intro. The same thing happened with Hide 'N' Seek Fairies vs. Skull Kid; it was intended to be the TP Skull Kid and the similarity was their games of hide-and-seek (or hide 'n' seek, whatever), but many people voted for Skull Kid because they liked the appearance from MM. Stalfos > mutated twili. Stalfos are more of a challenge.--Link in Termina (talk) 01:49, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Did you really just call the Stalfos mutated Twili?! Nope. That sign (< or >) is a comparison symbol. For example: 3 > 1, or 6 < 8. I said in that sentence, that Stalfos are better than mutated Twili. Because Shadow beasts are Twili, that are controlled and mutated by Zant. Or at least that's how I understand it.--Link in TerminaFierce Deity Link 20:25, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, ok. I'm just clueless.

Voters and common spectators, unless you want to become an imp or a chatty cap, please stay away from these two contestants!! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRREEADY TO RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Yea Vaati! Funlover63 (talk) 04:45, August 2, 2010 (UTC)Funlover63
  5. Sure he has a rudimentary back story that was only told in his third appearance, no clear motives outside of minish cap and no dialogue in four swords adventures but not all villains need these super back stories or in dept characters (although it usually is the formula for a good villain). Some times you just need a guy who’s evil just for the sake of being evil and he plays the evil part quite well. Certainly better then Zant who doesn't even stick around to see Link killed by Stallord. Plus as a boss he is quite hard which is always an upside for me Oni Dark Link 14:14, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

  22. Okay, Zant was pretty damn cool for a while, especially in that creepy scene where he whispers wheezes into Midna's ear. But after a while, he stopped being even the slightest bit intimidating and started to just sound....whiny. Vaati, on the other hand, stays cool throughout the entire game. He never spazzes out like Zant, and stays cool and calm, which makes him just that much more menacing. Plus, you have GOT to love his music. Not just his theme song, but the songs for the battles against him, too. Sir Real (talk) 20:44, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Zant was weird at the end. Vaati becomes a god and is more popular in the series from me point of view! Go one-eye mage!!
  2. He was ADORABLE as a minish in the manga!!!!!!!!! Zant?! NOT ADORABLE AT ALL >:(
  3. His been in more games and has a cool monster form and Zant does nor!
  4. Vaati... Zant... VAATI... ZANT... I'd have to go with Vaati. I like his FS/FSA forms- giant eyeballs are always in style!
  5. Gotta go with Vaati on this one. Vaati almost became a God. Zant was Ganon's puppet. And in the words of Majora's Mask, "a puppet that can no longer be used is mere garbage. This puppet's role has just ended."
  6. Vaati is my favourite Zelda Villian of all time! He looks cool as a Hylian, but his first Boss incarnation is the coolest!
  7. Zant Was kind of brain washed to take over Hyrule, Vaati thought to take over Hyrule by himself not from the influence of Gannondorf! GO VAATI!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Dude...Vaati theme rules over most other Zelda's music, Zants was all bazzar!
  9. I've just always seen Vaati as a great villian, and therefore to me he is far better than Zant.
  10. Zant is over rated and insane people get lame after some time.
  11. Vaati is WAY better and cuter than Zant can ever be!
  12. Vaati was actually challenging, zant was just a pushover who got his powers from someone more powerful that him
  13. First of all, Zant was a little pansy. He was a pawn at best in ganon's plan, while Vaati was in control and in charge. Plus, Vaati was in two games while Zant was only in one. Second of all, Vaati had to be sealed away( just like Ganon ).
  14. Vaati was his own villain. Zant was a nut-case puppet. He was cool in the beginning, but he completely lost his coolness in the end.
  15. Vaati is sooo awesomer than Zant
  16. Vaati didn't need anyone to help him. Zant was a puppet who couldn't handle the tiniest thing going wrong. By villainous standards, Vaati is far superior.
  17. Vaati managed to think of a plan and everything for himself and already had his own powers. Zant didn't have his own plans and had to get more power from Ganondorf.
  18. Vaati's boss music was tons better than Zant's. also, Vaati didn't goo insane at the end.
  19. Vaati is great, my cousin is a fann off him!!! So am me!
  20. Zant was cool... until he became insane. Vaati was cool the whole game, and I like more his boss music.

Votes for Zant[]

  1. He didn't want me to denounce the series' continuation as much as Purple Boy did. Zant could just utter one of his insane yells and Vaati would be crying in a corner. Interesting fight, huh? --AuronKaizer! 02:25, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

  6. Zant is soooooo much better than vaati! Zant had an interesting backstory, and I actually like the part where he goes crazy because it makes him a more memorable character. Vaati had NO backstory and was kind of boring. Zant had a cool boss fight too.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 10:48, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
  7. Even if I use Zant as my talk bubble, I'm not biased towards him. Even though Zant is not a complete character, he is a better character than Vaati. Vaati is just just rather bland, and in the Zant vs. Ingo fight, Ingo was a complete and interesting character, Vaati is just a complete and dull character. No contest.-- C2 / CC 13:18, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

  2. Zant and vaati are both cool. But I have to go with Zant.
  3. As cool as Vaati is-having absorbed the Triforce of Time and all-, I think Zant is cooler. Anything dark, creepy, and totally insane gets my vote. Plus he cracks his own neck to kill Ganondorf.
  4. Zant is one funny dude.... and he's psychotic so he gets my vote.
  5. Zant gets my vote. He appears as badass villain, but he turns psycho. You can't get more evil and crazy than this.
