Week 139: Minish vs. Them[]

Them

LLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We are now proud to welcome you to the 139th week in the TEMPLE OF COURAAAAAAGE! This week's fight brings us two secretive races that appear only to small children. Let's meet them now.

In the green corner, we have a race of incredibly small people. Don't be surprised if you can't see them, for they will only reveal themselves to small children. They can grant their size to others, have survived unnoticed for untold centuries, and only reveal themselves every 100 years. Standing in at less than an inch, give it up for THE MINIIIIIIIIIIISH!

And in the purple corner, we have a race of intergalactic travelers. Hailing from a galaxy far, far away, nobody knows their true names, and indeed, nobody but children know of them. They lurk in the darkness, steal cows, and perform lobotomies on all who see them. Let's hear it for THEEEEEEEEEMMMMM!

So, two ancient, secret races known only to children enter the ring today. But only one may leave victorious. Which one will it be? That, my dear voters, is up to YOU! I personally only see a ring, but the boys and girls in our audience inform me that they are really there, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLE! YEAH!

Votes for Minish[]

  1. My name. 'Nuff said. -Minish Link 19:19, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Minish are just awesome! High chance of being killed by a foot, but still awesome!--LinksGirlfriend
  3. I LOVE MY LITTLE EEVEEKINS, MY PRECIOUS LITTLE SNUGGLEBUNNY, MY WONDERFUL GUY, MY ONE AND MY ONL- oh, you mean THOSE minish... -Stars talk http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/pyroac/Starssprite.gif 01:39, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Them they whatever I should call them are just annoying. Besides, they are the size of a thumb and were still able to give the Hero of Men the Picori Blade. --Birdman5589 (talk) 16:40, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  5. I guess I'll vote for the little guys (heh... little guys...), though it's pretty obvious who's won. --Ricorum (talk) 17:24, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
  6. I don't remember ever seeing these guys lobotomize any ranch girls. Oh, and they're awesome. Sir Real (talk) 00:58, April 8, 2011 (UTC)
  7. I just like them better. Heh, I like "them" better. How about I like theM[inish] better? --DekuStick Master 01:00, April 9, 2011 (UTC)
  8. I lurve Minish cap!!!!! So of course I'm going to vote for the minish! BlueLink.jpg Blue Link BlueLink.jpg 18:36, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I don't even wanna know what the aliens did to Romani.. Seriously, the Minish are waaay nicer and appear only once in a hundred years while "Them" (or "They") appear every year to kidnap the cows..
  2. Minish!!!!

Votes for Them[]

  1. This really needs very little explanation. Anyone who defended the ranch from Them will know exactly why they are awesome and superior to the Minish in every way Oni Dark Link 18:29, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Gotta go for them. Personally, I'm not too familiar with either race, but from what I've seen, Them are cooler, and make for bigger grammatical errors. Sincerely, Watcher.
  3. Brains...no wait, that's zombies. Blood...uh, vampires. I've come for your pickle...Flying Dutchman. Cows...McDonald's. Never mind... TheTM 20:02, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  4. They've come for you. Coming to get you. Crop circles... --BassJapas 20:06, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  5. There is something very surreal about this battle. The sense of urgency and dread made me pray for the sun to rise, yet when it did, I was sad that it was over. And the atmosphere of the battle is so haunting. Like who are these guys? Why are they here? Its really hard to put into words, but nostalgia wins this one. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:27, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  6. I'm not too familiar with the Minish, but Their sinister nature and sense of mystery make Them far more appealing to me. Besides, the intro said They are from "a galaxy far, far away". Jedimasterlink (talk) 21:46, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  7. They're The Beatles, what can I say? --AuronKaizer! 22:18, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
  8. See, Them (they?) have a special place in my heart for making me feel like a little kid again. When I was playing my first video games at the age of six, I got scared easily. Bowzer, bob-ombs, even koopas, you name it, I was scared. And then I grew up and wasn't scared anymore. Until I saw... THEM. (dun dun dun) It took me back, man, seriously... —Lisa URAQT Click it. You know you want to 03:13, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  9. I have nothing against the Minish, but They are just awesome, in a disturbing kind of way. I know I always vote for the MM thing, but it's not because I deem things cool just because they are from MM, it's that almost every individual thing in MM is awesome in its own right (I say almost because of Tingle), which is part of why the game is so good and is my favorite.--FierceDeku 03:39, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  10. Alien GHOSTS. Also, my favorite minigame in MM.--RedeadhunterRedeadContributions Edits 04:32, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  11. ALIENS! WHO KIDNAP PEOPLE ADN BRAINWASH THEM! Also they're bigger than the Minish.08:34, April 3, 2011 (UTC)CABAL (talk) 08:34, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  12. Who doesn't vote for a race that steals cows?? --Yorick141 (talk) 09:06, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  13. Never heard of them, but I will vote them.--User:CerberuS GR Phantom (Phantom Hourglass)-The Guardian of Underworld 09:22, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  14. They are ghosts or aliens or whatever you'll call them. They are creepy like hell, and gave me nightmares, which the Minish couldn't do. Oh, and they eat cows... the Minish doesn't eat cows... --Breakin'Sleazer 09:28, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
  15. Alien Ghosts who come down to steal cows and brainwash little children... IN ZELDA! It was very unexpected and strange. I remember fighting them and going SUNSUNSUNSUNSUNSUN WHERE IS THE SUN!? Damn that was a creepy part of the game. Majora's Mask is twisted! Although, I'm surprised no one has any theories explaining them. I guess that's the whole fun if it, though. No one knows what the hell they are. King of the Twilight (talk)
  16. Them are just too awesome to lose to the Minish. Their fight was too creepy/scary for me to vote otherwise. Ike 18:03, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
  17. Them are the ones that rock, even if Them have made no serious contributions to society. Creepiness rocks, Them are thieves, which rocks, (Sly Cooper fan speaking here, nerd comments commence) Them are mysterious, which rocks, Them are powerful, which rocks, and Them allow me to be majorly ungrammatical, which is sticking it to my english teacher (eat that Binion!), and, apart from anything else, if they actually fought the Minish, they would kick butt. (I don't think the minish can use a hero's bow) LINk11

  1. I remember fighting Them. I was taking some out in the distance, I turned, and-HOLYCRAPITSTHEM!!!!!!!!!! I nearly peed my pants :]
  2. Them made more of an impression when they brainwashed Romani. Every once in a while, I'd purposely let Them enter the barn just so I can watch Romani screaming her head off as she's beamed up with the cows. And for the sole fact that I can proudly say "BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY!!" when Them beams everything up.
  3. I HATED these things. Until my friend told me that the fact that I'd have to fight then twice as long is well worth the fact that they move half as fast, and to use the bunny hood while fighting.
  4. Them are so cool and mysterious! And that wasn't bad grammar!
  5. The side quest involving these things took sooo long. And they scared the shit outa me. There Just so much more awesome than the minish.
  6. MEH.
  7. Them scared the crap out of me. And when I defeated them for the first time, I fist-pumped the air so extravagantly that I was glad that no one saw.
  8. I was going to vote for the Minish because i like them ALOT better and Them are weird. But then i remembered Ezlo. He was bad enough
  9. User:ZeldaSatan Yeah im deffinately going with the more familliar race.
  10. Notice a pattern from past weeks. Whenever MM things come up, they usually win. Anonymous Minish Voter number one, realize that many things from Termina are not good or evil. It's an extremely gray areas. Yes, Romani is the victim of Their raid, but we don't know who they are or what they intend with the cows. Like my brother. haha, anyway, about the minish, they help and make good things happen to Hyrule like fairies. I liked the little mousy non-blue smurfs in MC, and their universe is fascinating, there's no doubt... but they are not shrouded in mystery. For all we know the Minish have their own sins that Link never sees...? That's as far as I get with them. :) They win. These aliens. Classic too, the whole aliens after cows. Deserve an explanation though, in my opinion, someday... or maybe nerds like us need to find out their secrets on our own...
  11. I'm not too familiar with either one, but it seems pretty obvious Them would win
  12. Them was just all around amazing. The fact that aliens visit the LoZ series and that the fight was cool. They also redefined what it means to steal cows. My vote is with Them.

You know what? After a year of not doing this, coming back to it feels really, really good. Even though the schedual has slipped a few times since I've been. Sincerely, Watcher.

Really, we should have waited until tomorrow to get things back on track. But the other one has gone on for over a week, so whatever. I'll roll with this. Just remember to do the archiving bit and everything whenever you do this. I'll handle it this time. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 18:35, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
Whoops. My mistake. Sorry, Joe. Sincerely, Watcher.

Wow. One sided this week. Course, it's all based on a bad pun, so.... Sincerely, Watcher.

What do you mean? The fight itself nor the votes seem pun based to me. As much silly wordplay as you can make using Them, people seem to be voting for them because they like them in their own right (particularly their creepiness).--FierceDeku 19:57, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

MEH. Them are part of the scariest sidequest in LoZ history, in the best LoZ game. Of course their gonna win. Ike 18:07, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

SOMEONE HATES EZLO.

THIS DOES NOT COMPUTE. Sir Real (talk) 01:04, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

Igos du Ikana

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! It's time for the 138th ultimate showdown in the TEMPLE. OF. COUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAAGE!!! This week's fight is between two mighty enemies that have the ability to use their detached heads in battle, and have a severe fear of light.

In the sand red corner, we have a famous thief who resided in Kakariko Village. At some point, he stumbled into the Dark World and became a servant to the King of Evil, Ganon, who assigned him to guarding Thieves' Town. The hero eventually ventures there to save one of the Seven Maidens, which he appears to achieve with considerable ease; however, on their way out, they happen upon a bright room, where it is the revealed that the Maiden is actually this villain. THIS. IS. BLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND!!!

In the violent violet corner is an ancient king of the realm of Ikana. Though the kingdom eventually fell, this mighty spirit returned from the grave to haunt the Ancient Castle of Ikana. He guarded the Castle, protecting it from outsiders and those who might bring light to the decrepit castle. The hero eventually infiltrates this castle and finds the Throne Room where this ancient King sits, and utilizes the light to defeat him. THIS. IS. IGOS DU IKAAAAAANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

We know this match is exciting, but don't lose your head! ...Get it, because... Oh, nevermind, LLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Blind[]

  1. He's Blind, and he's badass. Made me lose more than once when I first played, and puts up a hard fight even today. That, and he genuinely surprised me the first time I went into the light room with what I assumed to be a "fair maiden". Igos was more of a joke character than anything, what with employing such obvious bodyguard failures. Battle with the man himself can be troublesome, though. And Blind didn't go and sing a song for me in a damned creepy voice. --AuronKaizer! 20:43, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
  2. To use the words of my good friend Admiral Ackbar, "It's a trap!" --Birdman5589 (talk) 21:01, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Igos wins too much. Plain and simple. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 21:03, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Blind is from LttP, which is my first ever Zelda game. My feeling of nostalgia takes the cake on this one. Mr kmil Spin Attack (A Link to the Past) 12:33, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
  5. He can make a bedsheet look sexy. -Stars talk http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/pyroac/Starssprite.gif 23:43, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Kickass thief dude with awesome manga artwork. I THINK YES. -Minish Link 23:54, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
  7. He pretended to be a girl, and I thought he actually was... Plus he's from ALttP, which in my opinion is MUCH better then Majora's Mask.--LinksGirlfriend
  8. I haven't yet met Igos, so for now, My vote is for one of the craziest bosses in Zelda; He's a girl, no wait? --Ricorum (talk) 19:03, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
  9. He might not be as cool as Ikana, but I rather like Blind. Bloody hard to beat at first, but when you master him, he's pretty fun. Sincerely, Watcher.

  2. Point 1: He has a head-laser. Point 2: I love how he turns around. And point 3: What better way to defeat a boss (the second time) by smacking his head back to his headless body?!

Votes for Igos du Ikana[]

  1. I really like this skeleton guy!--User:CerberuS GR Phantom (Phantom Hourglass)-The Guardian of Underworld 21:25, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I really think Igos is a great character. There's a lot of depth in the words that he says about petty fighting and forgiving failures. Even though he turned evil and uber skeletal you can tell in life he would of been a really great king. If everybody followed Igos' philosophy we'd probably have a much better world, Oni Dark Link 22:03, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
  3. I just might create a rift in the space-time continuum that destroys us all by doing this, but...what Oni said. Jedimasterlink (talk) 18:11, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Igos is just plain awesome. King of the Twilight (talk)
  5. I hated the other guy so much. The annoying pipsqueak posed as a maiden AND I THING IT'S A GUY!!! How wrong is that?!? I'm going with this guy (can't remember/pronounce name)! BlueLink.jpg Blue Link BlueLink.jpg 17:05, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
  6. I found Blind annoying rather than hard, but Igos was pretty fun AND his henchmen were funny. Not to mention he was in MM. Ike 17:14, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Played both games, Igos is awesome and blind... isn't. --Yorick141 (talk) 09:21, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
  8. If I actually fought Blind, I might like him more, but Igos du Ikana is cool, too. TheTM 00:11, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
  9. Igos du Ikana's fight was actually fairly simple, but still really fun to play. The entire point of Blind seems kind of pointless to me. Igos has my vote. --SheikahPhilosopher 02:31, March 29, 2011 (UTC)
  10. I hated having to find my way around Thieves' Town because he didn't want to exit through the front. --Hydropanda (talk) 02:21, April 2, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I'm sorry, I just can't bring myself to vote for a guy in a dress over the king of a cursed kingdom. I just can't.
  2. Holy Crap! It's about time it changed!!!!!!!!!!
  3. No contest 1. He's a skeleton the awesomest of the undead.2.he can teach you how to make creepy Link statues.3.He thinks you're a giant skeleton when you put on the (skeleton) mask.
  4. Obviously Igos. He is the king of a place. the other guy is not. arguement = invalid
  5. This-guy-is-AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. As much as I love Blind, Igos is WAY better. I mean, he's the king of a cursed kingdom, he and his lackies have the most AWESOME banter, and the Elegy of Emptiness is the best song in the game. I mean who doesn't love the creepy statues the song makes?
  7. Just look at him.
  8. I LOVE majora's mask, and this guy reminds me of the only thing I fear about this game *shivers* BEN!!!!
  9. Majoras Mask is better then Link to the Past. Also, the Elegy of Emptiness is very useful and Igos looks cooler.
  10. He was my single favorite mini-boss (next to Dark Link) in all of Zelda. Also, MM is my favorite Zelda, and the whole part with Ikana was my favorite part. And props to number 8 for bringing up...BEN (still get shivers when I hear that name)
  11. Aside from Majora's Mask being my favourite gamer period (ALttP was pretty cool though), I think Ikana was a better villain and victim of fate. Blind fell into the dark world, but he was a thief, and became a servant of Ganon, poor guy, but Ikana's king was... tragic. You felt for him, so as a character alone he stands out more than Blind, and he lost far more than Blind could ever dream of. Not unlike the feeling the King of Red Lions feels about Hyrule; a lost kingdom, ruined and all but extinct, but is still alive to feel it, because of a terrible fate. Blind? As far as we know he's a petty pickpocket, even if he was in charge of them all like Ganondorf was in a way. And personality's there too; Igos has this sense of "hey yo listen peoplz!" while his two vassals argue pointlessly, while Blind is just... Blind. Bland and pointless beyond the battle itself. Igos has deserved my vote, and will win this vote >) BWAHAA. And by the way, dude who posted above me, yeah I know, I believed it too, had trouble watching the old star wars trilogy because of it. Just call him Obi-wan! I have a friend named Ben, but still... >.<...

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNN!!! Zeldapedia brings to you the spectacularly spectacular spectacle at Spectacle Rock that is the TEMPLE. OF. COUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRAGE!!! This week we have a battle between two stationary guards who request the quest for the hero to go get them something.

In the Zora Tunic Blue corner, we have a guard of the Rito persuasion living on a semi-active volcano. Standing post outside the Chieftain's room, this laid back, smitten guard requests you get him a Golden Feather, THIS. IS. HOOOSSSSKIIIT!!!

In the Spoiled Red Potion Orange corner, we have a presumed father requesting a mask for his son. Standing post at the gate of Death Mountain, not letting you pass till he obtains Zelda's Letter, THIS. IS. KEAAAAAATOOON MAAAAAAASSSK SOOOOLLDIEEEEEEERRRR!!!

We hope this doesn't take too much away from your adventure. Now, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADYYYYY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Hoskit[]

  1. Fly away Hoskit, be free! --Birdman5589 (talk) 01:31, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

  3. Because he scored with his girlfriend. He did need my help, but it's a tough world when it comes to love. Jedimasterlink (talk) 02:00, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Oh yeah, Rito for the win. Flying postmen rock. --Ricorum (talk) 06:28, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

  6. Did we get a Piece of Heart out of the Keaton Mask Soldier? No. Also, what Jedimasterlink said.--AwesomeSheikah (talk) 03:31, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Rito vs. Some random Hylian soldier dude...Yeah, my vote's going to the Rito just because I'm biased. I love Rito's more than Hylians, plus he was more memorable than the other guy.
  2. Hmmm... let me think... a guy in a silly mask, who lets you pass, or a bird-man who gives you a heart piece?
  3. Let's look at the basics. Firstly, Hoskit guards the Chief's quarters. Mr. Hero Keaton Kokiri eating man only opens the door when royalty allows it, and when they DO (as in OoT), he STILL DOESN'T OPEN IT! I mean, really! The nerve! Then there's the romance issues. Keaton Man won't be attracting many Gerudos to him any time soon, or any other race, not even Goron women if there are any if he's wearing that Keaton's Mask (wasn't that supposed to be given to his son anyway?), while our candidate Hoskit needs a simple little help, and rewards you far more in kind, while Mr. K man sends you off and pays you nothing more than what you wanted it for. The choice to me seems very obvious.
  4. The Masked soldier is weird! the ruto guy is awesome its no contest :D!!!
  5. DUUUH Rito postmen tribe OWNS the soldier who is childish enough to wear a Keaton Mask, which probably never gets him a girlfriend..

Votes for Keaton Mask Soldier[]

  1. He made me feel special yet slightly creeped out by calling me Mr. Hero... --BassJapas 01:06, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
  2. He proves that even adults can like Pokémon. (And don't say that he's doing it "for his kid"; we all know that he's doing it because he's really a big Pikachu fan.) TheTM 01:10, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

In the golden corner we have the pinwheel-tailed centipede with eyes ravaged by chlorine, the guardian of the Pendant of Power, THIS. IS. MOLDORM!!!

Trained by Nayru knows who to protect these one-of-a-kind sacred magical artifacts, they come head to head to tail right here, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADYYYYY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Madderpillar[]

  1. Well, he's blue, he's cute, he reminds me of Caterpie who is epic, and it's TMC love (aka, my boyfriend would have another OMG UR HATIN TEE EMM SEE rant if I didn't vote =P) -Stars talk http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/pyroac/Starssprite.gif 19:40, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Wow, Madderpillar is gettin' some hate here or, at least, Moldorm is takin' all its awesome. Well, as Stars said, it's blue and blue stuff is normally pretty cool. It has some web snot thing going on and, you know, webs are cool and snot is... not that cool, but maybe among other Madderpillars that's the hot thing. Maybe web snot attracts the other Madderpillars, makes some of 'em jealous. Doubt other Moldorms would want to hook up with a crazy, just sayin'... - McGillivray227 03:29, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Moldrom is not the fun type of hard which makes him the worst kind of hard. Just plain annoying. Oni Dark Link 15:49, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  4. This ain't just any caterpillar. This is a MADderpillar. It's CRAZY STUFF DUDE. -Minish Link 17:00, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  5. moldorm was just annoying. madderpillar, on the other hand, is blue. Therefore, Madderpillar>moldorm on the awesomeness scale factor. Squeezycheesecake

  1. Never played Minish cap, but blue is still an awesome color.
  2. Madderpillar's just so adorable! Moldorm looks like something you'd find in your bathroom...

Votes for Moldorm[]

  1. Madderpillar is just an average mook. Moldorm, at least the A Link to the Past one, can still get me, and throw me down to the floor underneath if I'm not careful. That's as close as I can get to losing these days. And that's something. Besides which, it still looks wicked cool, and it has badass music. --AuronKaizer! 19:25, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Anyone that manages to hilariously tweak out more severely than me while on Mountain Dew gets my approval.--RedeadhunterRedeadContributions Edits 19:32, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
  3. What makes Moldorm cool is that it is so unpredictable, and no matter how many times you beated it, it will always be as hard as the first time. Madderpillar is just so easy to kill so it wasn't fun. Franky93 (talk) 20:39, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Moldorm is/was SO hard to beat. just a single touch from it and you had to start ALL over. Ike 20:49, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Just like it more. I don't really like either of them that much, so this was a tough choice. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 00:33, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Haven't played either of the games, but in the list of what to play, ALttP comes first (after all those damned Mario roms I'm getting images with >.<) --BassJapas 00:34, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Boss battle was more fun. Kinda don't really care either way though.-- C2 / CC 02:47, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  8. Almost there, almos- @%^$*%#$&!!!!! *breaks controller in two* -- TheTrapMaster (talk) 03:19, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  9. I...Hate...This...Guy...--Hylianhero777 (talk) 13:18, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  10. Good Grief... still one of the most annoying bosses ever. --Ricorum (talk) 02:01, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
  11. caterpie< hard boss...--Yorick141 (talk) 13:19, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
  12. annoying > boring Jedimasterlink (talk) 18:08, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
  13. Moldorm is more annoying/difficult, recurring, and looks cooler/more insane.--FierceDeku 23:15, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I hate Moldorm so much, especially the Link to the Past one. I can't even COUNT how many times I've been knocked back down to the previous floor by Moldorm while trying to kill it. I have no idea what the other worm monster thing is, so my vote is going for the most annoying monster/boss in Zelda.
  2. MEH.
  3. Moldorm is in awesomer games.
  4. Neh, Madderpillar wasn't that hard.. Moldorm on the other hand made me freak out when I tried not to be blown off again when battled the second time in ALttP..
  5. Never played MC.

Week 135: King Gustaf vs. Queen Rutela[]

King Gustaf
"'Queen Rutela'"
Queen Rutela

7.5 < 21
Queen Rutela
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNN!!! Zeldapedia brings to you the spectacularly spectacular spectacle that is the TEMPLE. OF. COUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRAGE!!!, live from atop Spectacle Rock. This week, we have a Battle Royal between the spirits of two monarchs who linger on in the mortal plane and aid the hero in protecting their kingdoms. Their credentials will be listed... right now.

In the sand red corner is a long-dead king of the land of Hyrule, who seeks to aid his former kingdom even in death. Link seeks out his tomb in the Royal Valley's graveyard, and finds there the dead king's spirit, who gives him a Kinstone Piece that allows him to open the way forward. THIS. IS. KIIIIIIIIIIING GUUUUUUSTAAAAAAAF!!!

In the more reddish brown corner is a queen of the Zora, who was executed by the minions of Zant as an example to those who would oppose him. Her ghostly form appears before Link when he restores the flow of water to her kingdom, and asks him to aid her son, who has fallen ill. After finding and safely delivering her son to the shaman in Kakariko Village, she appears before him once more, and guides him to a hidden Zora grave, wherein lies the Zora Armor. Before finally departing this realm, she also appears before her son. THIS. IS. QUEEEEEEEN RUUUUTEEEEEEEEEEEELAAAAA!!!

It is advised that all spectators wear blue clothing, as there will decidedly be blue blood flying through the air during this fight. And now, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADYYYYY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for King Gustaf[]

  1. Old King Gustaf... you're awesome. anybody who hangs around their own graves on the off chance that some hero will someday come by and fuse kinstones with them is pretty cool in my book. --Ricorum (talk) 18:29, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I just like the Kings of Hyrule. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 02:53, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Rutela's story was basically like Darunia's story in the future of OoT... sacrificed as a demonstration. Unoriginal... But Gustaf was awesome and he lived around poes that fused kinstones with you! Also I loved the redone Legend of Zelda dungeon theme --Hydropanda (talk) 23:28, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Well it seems that only people with normal signatures pledged their allegiance to the King of Hyrule. --Birdman5589 (talk) 00:03, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
  5. I'm going for little old King Gustaf. WAAAYYY BOOMMMBB --???e? s???? 02:57, February 4, 2011 (UTC)
  6. I like how he is from a long time ago and knew the Wind Tribe. It makes him more mysterious. I have nothing against Rutela but for some reason she just didn't have much impact on me when I first played through.--FierceDeku 02:25, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
  7. I just like him better than Rutela--Green Courage 18:47, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Queen Rutela's music is cool and all, and the zora's are really cool, but the TP versions just aren't, so I vote for the King!! Well you can't vote for a king, but still..

Votes for Queen Rutela[]

  1. It's not that I thought Queen Rutela was a highly developed character or anything like that, but we know basically, next to nothing about the venerable ghost king, which makes him either A) highly uninteresting; B) a subject whose theory sections outweigh the factual information, or C) all of the above/neither/both. Oh, and Queen Rutela came bundled with an arousing awesome redone Serenade of Water. And I actually got an item that was actually repeatedly useful from the Queen, compared to the lame golden Kinder Surprise toy that opens a door that looks like it could be done away with some well-placed explosives. --AuronKaizer! 18:04, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I'm a fan of Zoras. Even if I don't really like the TP version of Zoras. But, have you heard her music? Serenade of Water had to be one of my favorite warp songs, and the remastered/redone version made me love it more. --BassJapas 18:28, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Jäzzi just said it all.--Yorick141 (talk) 19:24, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
  4. I love Zoras and my favourite game is TP. Rutela = Both! Plus I love the Serenade of Water which plays when Link sees her! Totally awesome!---LinksGirlfriend
  5. The music (aka what Jäzzi said). Jedimasterlink (talk) 00:36, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Her backstory is darker and therefore better. Oh yeah, and it exists. -Isdrakthül 01:00, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Her scenes were some of the most touching in the game. --Nayru's Maiden (talk) 05:55, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  8. She is creeeepy! She's a talking fish ghost that haunts Link. But still, she's a kinda cool character --Vussen 13:02, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  9. If the Royal Crypt was actually a dungeon Gustaf would of got my vote Oni Dark Link 15:09, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  10. She's a Zora, she's epic and has an awesome leitmotif. Also, unrelatedly, the way she proposes in me and Minish's fanfiction series - "Feythos, I...will..." She broke the embrace and stood back from him, looking at her feet. "Oh, just take it." She unclasped the Zora's Sapphire from her necklace and shoved it at him. - because she's just awesome like that. -Stars talk http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/pyroac/Starssprite.gif 16:31, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  11. I love the Redone Serenade Of Water and it makes me physically cry when she says what happened to her. My vote goes to the dead Queen of the Zoras X) Zelda-girl
  12. {{Support}} -Minish Link 17:12, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  13. Well, I haven't played Minish Cap yet, so. Ike 20:29, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
  14. I guess I'll vote for her. She's a Zora, so sure. TheTM 00:03, February 8, 2011 (UTC)
  15. Her theme is my second favorite song in TP,besides Midna's Lament. The whole Rutela quest is ethereal, and you really feel a sense of accomplishment when you help her son put his mother to rest. Maybe I'm a crybaby, but it definitely warranted a few tears. Also, the Zora Armour, despite being extremely hard to control, has to be one of my favorite objects in the game. So, yeah.I'm voting for her.--Farore.din.nayru (talk) 13:53, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Zoras > Hylians. Simple math. 1st anonymos vote!!
  2. She looks creepier
  3. Some creepy guy with nothing better to do then go around telling little kids what to do, or a queen who wants to make sure her son doesn't die. Point made.
  4. Zoras are awesome, even the TP ones. The remix of the Serenade of Water is cool. (I can actually play it on one of my ocarinas.)
  5. Fat Hylian vs. a freaking zora. Plus she is trying to save her son and the rest of the zoras and he is a fat creepy guy who gives presents to little children he has never seen before. Nintendo could have replaced him with a creepy guy that you would see in a dark ally way. Oh wait that's what they did but just put the word king in front of his name.
  6. I was SO scared when i first saw her. I'm voting for her so that she doesn't haunt me. The other guy is boring. I'm calling the ghostbusters for him.
  7. MEH.
  8. I'm voting for Queen Rutela just because I love the Zoras more than Hylians. That, and she's probably one of THE best designed Zora in Twilight Princess. Nuff said.
  9. Twilight princess is one of the best Zelda games ever. Minish Cap is like, a side game! Besides, as pointed out by other commenters, Queen trying to save her son and other Zoras > Fat guy who gives stuff to kids. 67.238.147.213 05:39, February 12, 2011 (UTC)
  10. She is a zora their awesome.
  11. Zoras are just cool. And the TP version of Serenade of Water is beautiful.
  12. I loved this character, she had me wanting to see more of her in the game. Also the Serenade of Water remix had me crying. I even stopped pressing "A" to here the whole song!

Peanut Gallery[]

I was going to do it last Sunday. But time got ahead of me. I would do it now, but, seeing how it's Thursday, almost Friday in some parts of the world, I'll let it run for the next three days. If by this time on Sunday (3:07PM) it's still live, I'll do it. Since by that time, it would've been running for two (I think) weeks at that time and would be going on it's third. So, yeah, I don't really want to do it this week, seeing how the winning suggestion are characters from games I've never played and would much prefer someone else with the knowledge do it. --BassJapas 20:15, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
