Week 154: Batreaux vs. Fabulously Rich Family[]

Batreaux
Winner:
"'Batreaux'"
Batreaux

14.5 > 10.5
Fabulously Rich Family
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AAAAAAAAAAAAND GEEEEEEEEEENTLEMEEEEEEEEEENNNN!!! It's time once again for the TEMPLE. OF. COOUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! This week's fight is between two demonic, frightening, and cursed contestants who mean no actual harm. Let's meet them in the ring now.

In the Gratitude Crystal Orange corner is a large, blue, bat-like demon residing far underneath Skyloft. When our hero first meets this creature, he mistakes him for an actual threat; however, this harmless demon simply likes to play possibly questionable screaming games with children. Desiring to be a human, he asks the hero to bring him 80 Gratitude Crystals to fix his problem. Like a bat out of heck, THIS. IS. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATREEEEEEEEEEEEAUX!!!

In the Gold Skulltula Gold Brown corner, we have a family so rich it could be considered fabulous, cursed for their wealth by some unknown deity. Our hero stumbles upon their decrepit home where the family's father begs of him to deliver to them one hundred shiny Gold Skulltulas. Upon doing this, the curse is broken and the hero is rewarded with unlimited wealth of his own. Fabulous as ever, THIS. IS. THE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAABUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULOUSLY RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICH FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMILY!!!

Which one of these deadly demons will be returned to their human form first? That all depends on you, dear viewers, and which particular valuable item you've chosen to hunt down. Drop of your Gratitude Crystals and Gold Skulltula Tokens in the box at the front, and LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Batreaux[]

  1. I've always liked this whole "misunderstood monster" concept. And Skyward Sword has one of the best examples on record. The guy is just so harmless and likeable, it has you wondering which is the actual monster... the ancient demon, or humanity's inextinguishable penchant for xenophobia? Didn't hurt that he made me infinitely richer (both in-game financially, and in spirit, since the end of his sidequest is just so heartwarming in ways not seen in a Zelda game since Majora's Mask) than the Fabulously Rich Family (any relation to Ghirahim?), which only gave me a mild sense of self-satisfaction and more of those completely useless Rupees that you can find nothing to spend on. --AuronKaizer! 19:38, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
  2. For lack of a better way to say it, Batreaux is a very interesting character. There is just something about him that makes me like him, probably the "misunderstood monster" thing that AK mentioned. Its also interesting that his demonic form is what caused monsters to plauge Skyloft. Evnyofdeath 22:11, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
  3. His side quests are better and he has far more depth than the Fabulously Rich Family. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 00:20, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Well, admittedly, the Fabulously Rich Family's prizes are way better and more varied than Batreaux's, but at this guy has, you know, a personality. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:22, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Since last week was so close (surprisingly), I better vote for the better of the two this week. --Birdman5589 (talk) 01:45, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
  6. I just hated getting the Gold Skultula's. Even with the glitch that made them so easy to get, it was just too tedious to get them. I will say that the gratitude crystals are a little weird. I mean, I just saved you, yet you aren't grateful? But your brother is? Come on. Ike 18:20, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
  7. There are only 80 Gratitude Crystals, unlike the 100 Gold Skulltulas, and you can get them in groups of five. --Ceiling Master (talk) 00:47, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
  8. In all seriousness, Batreaux is less demanding than said Rich fellows and is a good demon for a change. No one ever sees those anymore, especially in a Zelda game. I respect him for that. Kapodaco! (talk) 01:20, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
  9. There's something about him. And that is all that needs to be said. -Minish Link 21:23, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
  10. the first time I saw Batreaux, I wanted to hug him User: Ac!d Raine talk 21:18, December 15, 2011 (UTC)
  11. Batreaux is a quest in himself in the fact that you have to find him AND help him out. He also has a funnier story and leaves the question of where he came from in the first place... -Kdog
  12. Although OoT is one of my favorite games of all time, i have to say, the helping people is so much more fun than hunting for spiders. Hunting for Golden Skultulas gets a bit old after a while, but when helping Batreaux you never know what you'll have to do next. I hate to do this, but im gonna have to go against OoT this time. BATREAUX FOR THE WIN! Lincas1Vaati (The Minish Cap) 18:55, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
  13. I actually really wanted to help this guy.--MaloMart (talk) Malo 21:45, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

  1. OK so they both creeped me out the first time I saw them, but I like Batreaux better, even if it would only be for his name. His first-scene was quite fun and he looks way cooler!
  2. I don't feel any particular passion for either character but I DO have resent for that 100 gold skulltula side quest. What a waste of time. Plus, it was pretty amusing drawing your sword and freaking him out. I mean c'mon.
  3. I have to say that the Fabulously Rich Family only wants to be human so they they can be rich again, this guy wants to be nice and be able to interact with humans.

Votes for Fabulously Rich Family[]

  1. It's because of Minish's Gold Skulltula addiction. – zzi 19:25, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
  2. This is clear cut for me. As much as I love the high amount of side quests in Skyward Sword find the idea of gratitude crystals (like force gems) to be quite unrewarding. Yes I helped you good to see that your happy but are you going to actually give me something beside your gratitude? I know I can actually use gratitude but still in a very selfish way it doesn't seem like I'm getting anything if the other person isn't losing something (this does not extend to real life where gratitude of real people is very important to me). The golden Skulltulla idea on the other hand is fantastic. Sure it's a drag to try and find all of them but it keeps the overworld very interesting as there are plenty of nooks and crannies that can reward you with a satisfying Golden Skulltulla token accompanied with legendary music. Oni Dark Link 19:42, December 11, 2011 (UTC)]
  3. I'm basing this completely on the fact that OOT is my second-favourite Zelda next to MM. That and I've never trusted French people. And Batreaux is definitely French--Abrahamlinkoln (talk) 21:04, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
  4. While gratitude crystals are so much awesomer, Batreaux is obviously a spy sent by Demise :P --Hydropanda (talk) 00:49, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
  5. First of all, when I first played through Majora's Mask, the Fabulously Rich Father gave me nightmares, which means he totally has a higher "freaky as hell but harmless" factor; also i agree AL, french people suck, with their words that make no sense (hors deuvres is pronounced or dervs? seriously?) and their hating americans and all... the only good thing they brought to the world was the statue of liberty... people say their foods great but i don't buy that cause they eat frigging SNAILS. Also gratitude crystals are a dumb rehash of force gems and i also agree with ODL because if you really had so much gratitude prove it by sacrificing something ya deadbeat. The Skulltulas may not be showing gratitude but they're sure as hell sacrificing something for you to have their tokens. Nilkadmin
  6. One of the two scariest things about Ocarina of Time in my opinion. I'll never forget when these guys came down from the ceiling and freaked the hell out of me. --Nevermind0309 (talk) 03:16, December 22, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Is it possible to be more creepy but less wierd. In this battle I think the the "Family" definitely has got the upper hand over Batreaux. --Boomerangman (talk)

  1. Fabulous. And gold. And I didn't know who to vote for so I decided to vote on the right. (And first anon vote.)
  2. beatrux (however you spell it) is a cornball. so FRF
  3. When the family member in the middle of the room fell on me I completly freaked out and started trying to kill him, only to find I had been beating up a harmless person who had been trying to ask for help. I felt awful and very sorry for him, which is the point of the 'misunderstood monster' trope isn't it? Batty is pretty much just a character invented to try and encourage players to 'be good' and help the people in town.
  4. Haven't played SS. But I have played OoT.
  5. Simply put, Batreux is annoying and finding gold skulltulas is amzaing.
  6. THEY'RE FREAKING SKULLTULAS HOW CAN YOU NOT VOTE FOR THEM!?!?!?
  7. The family is so eerie and tragic that dwarfs their opponent in comparison.Their title also has a creepy and dignified feel that brings old mansions filled with uncomfortable and dusty furniture to mind. It also has a distinct "you got what you deserved." flavor. The irony of a rich and fabulous family being reduced to asking a green-clothed child for help makes for a classic fairytale story that Batty also lacks. It is merely a way of comparing a deep, and haunting story/sidequest to one of drastically less depth.

Glad to see the fight switch time is getting back on track. Honestly, though, I'm a little disappointed the last one's over. I actually liked it. Still interested in what the outcome is going to be here, though. It doesn't look like one clear winner. Okay, I'll stop rambling now.

While I liked the last fight as well, and while it was surprisingly close, I personally hated seeing the fights not being changed on a semi-regular basis and sometimes not being changed for a month, and with Skyward Sword's release, the Temple of Courage is something that should be happening at the wiki to attract more users, and it won't do much attracting if it's not changed regularly. – zzi 21:10, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

Anon 3 for the Fab Rich Family...no, not really. The "Misunderstood Monster" is a, well, monster who doesn't act monstrous but everyone thinks they do and act accordingly. The Fab Rich Family is a greedy family who were cursed because of this, and afterwards beg Link to save them. Evnyofdeath 15:53, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Ike...you're talking about the "Missing Sister" quest? Er...you do get Gratitude Crystals from her...AND her brother...totalling 10...

First off, I'm glad the fights are being changed out like this, after a certain fight that went on for over a month, not close at all. And I have checked the history, and found that anons are not allowed to sign in the votes, and I assumed this carried over to the comments section. --24.84.0.49 22:37, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Lincoln, having a French name doesn't mean you're French. Listen to the way Batreaux talks, he doesn't have an accent. I mean...my first name is gaelic in origin, and my last name has both Native American and European roots to it, yet that doesn't mean I'm Gaelic or Native American. Evnyofdeath 21:14, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it was not meant to be taken seriously. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:28, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

Week 153: Ghirahim vs. Vaati[]

Ghirahim
Winner:
"'Ghirahim'"
Ghirahim

15.5 > 13.5
Vaati
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AAAAAAAAAAAAND GEEEEEEEEEENTLEMEEEEEEEEEENNNN!!! Zeldapedia brings you the one-hundred-and-fifty-third battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOURRRRRRRRRAGE! To celebrate the release of the newest addition to our beloved series, we bring to you the first-ever battle featuring a character from Skyward Sword! We are headed for a battle between two masters of sword and sorcery (swordcery?), and antagonists of the legendary hero. Let's see what the Tale of the Tape has to say about our two combatants.

In the maroon corner is a mysterious, lean figure whose flamboyant clothing and mannerisms belie a sadistic and manipulative nature without peer. The self-styled "Demon Lord" of the monsters inhabiting The Surface, he fights (and creeps out) the hero on multiple occasions, his threat increasing with each struggle. THIS. IS. GHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRAHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMM!!!

In the purple corner is a powerful Wind Mage. Originally the apprentice of Minish inventor Ezlo, he used his master's powerful wish-granting cap to obtain great power, and transformed his former master into a bird-shaped hat. In his quest for ever more power, he comes to hear of the powerful Light Force of legend; during a confrontation with the hero, he turns the princess to stone. Once discovered, he uses the Light Force to gain a small measure of its power, but ultimately fails to defeat the hero, and is sealed within a sword. He is eventually able to escape his confinement, only to be defeated again. THIS. IS. VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!

Sparks of both a magical and... sword-clashy nature will fly during this heated battle! Will the new blood triumph, or will the old guard knock this young whippersnapper down? This decision, we leave to the audience! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Ghirahim[]

  1. Thank you Jedi for the link of epic proportions. – zzi 22:31, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is a joke, right? Vaati, you have not a chance against Tingle, let alone the most epic and fabulous antagonist of the Zelda series. Eat sheets and dye. --AuronKaizer! 22:37, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Ghirahim is fabulous. That is all. Jedimasterlink (talk) 22:45, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Ghirahim just might be my favorite antagonist in the series (except for maybe TWW Ganon). -Minish Link 00:29, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
  5. What is there to say? Vaati can't even compare to Ghirahim. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:49, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Hmm, giant floating eyeball guy, or the best boss of the newest game? No contest. User:ShyGuyFan
  7. Ghirahim ROCKS! far cooler than Vaati and his boss fights are a blast--Tiero (talk) 18:40, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
  8. At first he creeped me out (he still does, but not in a gay way), but he's from the better game. Ike 04:47, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
  9. I have returned, at least for a time. Ghirahim is simply FABULOUS and he makes my heart full of rainbows. He also had one of the most difficult boss fights in the series.--MaloMart (talk) Malo 08:01, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
  10. He's pretty cool. Phantom Zelda ?!

Anonymous votes[]

  1. While they are both awesome I think Ghirahim is just better. He is the best villain besides Ganon.
  2. Ghirahim is beyond epic from what I have seen of him.
  3. Because if I don't vote for him, do you know how that will make him feel inside? Furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!
  4. I love this guy^^
  5. He's one of my favourite villains ever, his dance is priceless xD
  6. I LOVE THIS GUY ! He is epic. Truly epic.
  7. Jäzzi convinced me:D, though I didn't need any proof of Ghirahim's epic awesomess!!!
  8. Personally, Skyward Sword is actually my first Zelda game, so Ghirahim is also my first villain. I do admit he dresses a bit oddly dressed and creeps me out a bit, but he also terrifies me beyond belief. Vaati is interesting but also tiny; he kinda makes me feel like hugging him actually. So my vote has to go to Ghirahim.
  9. My vote goes to Ghirahim because if I don't vote for him, he'll make my ears bleed from the sound of my own screams....
  10. Well, in the battle with Ghirahim, you need percice sword swings to deflect his attack, and he can take your sword, Vaati appears on hand held consels (mostly [I think]) which means to defeat him you push buttons with your thumbs, Ghirham can actually tire you out and gives a challenge!
  11. vaati sounds like fatty so ghirahim it is

Votes for Vaati[]

  1. I absolutely love Ghirahim. However.... Ok. I'm really just voting for Vaati so he doesn't have to cry himself to sleep. --Birdman5589 (talk) 23:37, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I'm gonna have to vote for the birdman of minishtraz --Hydropanda (talk) 02:01, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Yeah. Minish Cap is by far the best Zelda game simply because of this guy. He's amazing. ScatheeLink standing ALTTP 02:36, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Oh thats his name. Ghirahim still has only been in one game so my vote still stands --Polocatfan 15:28, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Vaati rocks.--Tj hoffman (talk) 17:47, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
  6. To be honest I actually do like Vaati. He has a beautiful lack of depth not seen in many modern villains. Not that I don't love Ghiarhim either he was quite awesome. I'm glad to see the fight so close. Oni Dark Link 22:44, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
  7. As much as I like Skyward Sword, I still like Minish Cap better. Ghirahim's battles are annoying, while Vaati has three different forms and great organ music. --Ceiling Master (talk) 16:40, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
  8. I think Vaati is an awesome person and he is the Wind Mage after all. - Bongo Bongo the Shadow
  9. I don't really have a preference so I'll vote here and keep the fight close. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 19:29, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I don't really know who that other guy is. I know who Vaati is, and he's awesome!
  2. I think vaati will win beause of his strong manner an evil
  3. Okay, here goes... will I vote for someone who goes on and on about the most meaningless subjects (that's spoiler-free, right?) or the one guy who is so awesome that only one other character is better than him? (Opinion, of course, but isn't everything?) Nope, no contest.
  4. My first impression of Girahim: Holy crap, he's gay. Need I say more?
  5. it is hard to take a guy in tights seriously.
  6. Well I've never played Minish Cap and I haven't encountered Ghiriham (or however you spell his name) in SS yet... Well, G dude looks like a girl and Vaati looks cool. So Vaati it is.
  7. Ghirahimis cool, but vaati has a whole trilogy dedicated to him. Ghirahim is just a throwaway villan like Bellm or Malludus. Ghirahim is also a nudist. I prefer the clothes-wearing Vaati.
  8. Nudists really tick me off. but so do clouds. hmmmmmmm. but Ghirahim is really creepy (gay creepy, anyone? o.O) so...
  9. Come on, the first time I saw Ghirahim I was like:'What the, a gay vampire? Where have I seen that before (anyone played Sam & Max?)' I still don't like him, even though I fought him only once.. His battle was annoying.. Vaati is so cool, especially his first transformation in the Minish Cap. People, thou shallst not voteth for Ghirahim!!

Peanut Gallery[]

Wow, that was fast. I'm happy to be seeing this; have wanted to vote for a while now.

Vaati and Ghirahim kinda look similar, exept of course that one is chibi style and the other seems to take exception to clothing.

To anon. vote 7 (obvious which side it's on), when is he a nudist? I may be only halfway through the game (more or less) but I have never heard anything mentioning a lack of clothes.

Anons, please, LOOK at Ghirahim. He is not a nudist, he simply has white skin and wears white clothes. If you can't see it in his artwork, look at his actual model.

What if there was a battle between all the links to determine which incarnation of link is the best?

What if someone who were actually registered commented here? Seriously, I don't think I've seen this many anon comments in a row since I started voting here.

Can people please stop referencing Ghirahim as "gay"? You don't know who might get offended (especially since its being used as a reason for voting against him). --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:51, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

I know. That and the nudist comments are really *ahem* offensive. Voted on the right again, but I had the courtesy to be spoiler-free and appropriate. By the way, nice to see a registered person comment.

  2. They're just so lovely Oni Dark Link 22:26, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
  3. I never liked either game, but these 2 are from MM and OoT, whereas Purlo is the TP version of Tingle. No matter how much I love TP, I ain't voting for Tingle. Ike 00:05, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Dance of unseen perpetuity, behind a windmill occupied by a bipolar organ grinder. That's Lynchian imagery right there. --AuronKaizer! 21:55, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Their names are terms of endearment, pretty cool. I hate Purlo, never could win at STAR.Phantom Zelda ?!
  6. +1 tingle disturbs me --TheBlueKnight (talk) 16:53, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
  7. Mostly this is because I HATE TINGLE. Also, I never really liked Purlo's game and always thought he was kinda stupid even though he wasn't exactly the same as Tingle. He just seemed to be a slightly different annoying man in green who thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Plus, Honey and Darling have a really fun game and they're connected to the bipolar organ grinder. So I'm not so much pro-Honey and Darling as I am anti-Tingle/Purlo and pro-organ grinder. Nilkadmin

  1. Epic. 'Nuff said. Also, their minigame is soooo fun!
  2. I'm not gonna vote for a Tingle look-alike with the name Purlo..
  3. Uhh. Let's see, an iconic couple that is recurring in the Zelda series or some random person that looks the Tingle... I think the winner is obvious. Though sadly I don't remember either one's minigame.
  4. No way am I going to vote for a guy named Purlo who is probably Tingle in disguise.
  5. Purlo is the stuff of nightmares...
  6. Honey and Darling, soooo weird, but better then Purlo.
  7. If they're good enough to get a reference in Half Life 2, then they get my vote.
  8. I'd rather not choose the TP version of Tingle even though i hate these 2 in OoT.
  9. They has like 4 minigames (and i hates purlo cuz he annoying)
  10. I hate Honey and Darling but I love Majora's Mask. and I hate TP period. So H&D it is.
  11. Aah, my rule (vote on the right) has been broken but I don't want to miss a fight, especially since I haven't been coming here as much. Plus I genuinely prefer these two.
  12. noone likes tingle so who would vote 4 pearlo?
  13. The Cheese says: That other guy's just a jerk.
  14. They actually have something to live for: each other. Purlo only has his money.
  15. Tingle scares me....he's so creepy! So naturally a Tingle look-alike freaks me out too....H&D ftw! Plus, the H&D game is addicting....

In the blue corner, hailing from Zora Hall, located off the Great Bay Coast found in western Termina... he is the long-haired (-finned?) bassist of the all-Zora band known as The Indigo-Go's. Good friends with band colleague Mikau, before tragedy struck The Indigo-Go's, the two regularly held jam sessions, one of which resulted in the imaginatively titled masterpiece "Jam Session", their newest hit single inexplicably credited to bandleader Evan. Dudes... THIS. IS. JAAAAAAAAAAAAPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!

In the grey corner is the wandering musical prophet of Holodrum... when he's not spending his time dozing off, he provides our hero with sage advice in an easy-listening key of A major. He is easily separated from the crowd owing to his neat dark sunglasses, strange instrument and his pride and joy, the record-setting snooze bubbles emanating from his nose at nearly any given time. THIS. IS. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAA!!!

By fortuitous happenstance, our contestants will lessen our already-strained budget by performing their own entrance music (rest assured, these funds will not be spent on collector's edition Teletubbies silverware sets). Don't forget to pick up their newest albums, available at our concession stands for thrice the recommended retail price! Lads and lasses... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Japas[]

  1. Okay, well, for you n00bs and those who forgot: My old username was BassJapas for a reason. I've always wanted to play bass and I'm absolutely in love with Japas, he's one of my favorite characters in Majora's Mask. Hey...Why don't we forget about waiting for Evan to write a song and just write one ourselves? This vote is 500% biased. – zzi 00:16, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Let's face it. I'm biased toward anything from Majora's Mask and against anything from games I haven't played. Besides, playing the Underworld theme from the first game on that bass is pretty epic. Jedimasterlink (talk) 23:38, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
  3. He's a Zora. 'nuff said. besides, he's great pun material. his bass is literally a bass. User:ShyGuyFan November 15, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Zora+MM+bassist+long hair like mine=Japas FTW!!!! Nilkadmin
  5. I'm going to go with Japas this time, simply 'cuz I think he's just cooler AND I like Majora's Mask ALOT (currently favorite game in the series). Also the sound Japas produces with his bass is cool, and his hair is pretty sweet too.--??? - ? 05:47, November 18, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Japas is better and I can name so many ways! One Japas is a Zora. Two Majora's Mask is a way better game then Oracle of Seasons.Three Sokra doesn't really do anything.Four Japas actually looks like his picture Sokra looks nothing like his picture. User:Coolkat100 11:28, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
  7. A Zora from MM? I think yes. Ike 19:21, November 21, 2011 (UTC)
  8. Japas is awesome!!!! Bass is awesome!!! Also Majora's Mask is the greatest game ever so... Trill&Plumm 01:12, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
  9. Japas is pretty a cool guy. eh plays bass and dos'nt afraid nothing.Phantom Zelda ?!

Anonymous votes[]

  1. I know I'm breaking my own rule by voting for the guy on the left, but he looks like a rock star rather than some guy wearing a fancy outfit complete with (never expected it but) sunglasses. And this is the first anonymous vote, and the fight is finally switched out. And I'm done.
  2. another MM zora musician vs another Oracle musician... Well, I'll have to vote for Japas for the same reason I voted for Lulu before. Never played Oracles and Zoras pwn you all.
  3. I love zoras and Jadas rulez!
  4. Japas FTW! A Zora Rockstar vs a guy that looks Blind who probably can't even play a guitar. woah, this is a tough one(said sacasticly)
  5. Japas is awesome. That's all that's needed.
  6. Duuude! No seriously, Japas is a Zora, who would not love that?
  7. Never played, sorry never FINISHED Oracle series, I have finished MM though. I didn't enjoy it much, but I did finish it.
  8. Yes, Japas should win. Afterall he is a stoner
  9. As much as I love Oracle of Ages, I have to go with Japas. I envy him!!!
  10. Japas kicks but. He is a cool looking Zora with an awesome guitar. Japas is also a little more recognizable as a Zelda character. Just saying.
  11. MM is my favorite game, and Zoras are amazing.

Votes for Sokra[]

  1. Gotta go with my fellow guitarist (at least, I think it's a guitar). And the guy's got such a primo station in life. Play a little... do some prophesizing... (...exploit said psychic powers for the purposes of winning cereal prize contests...) and get some shut-eye in the meantime. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah, that's life right there kid. ...What? Of course I like Japas a whole lot more and found him to be a surprisingly likeable and complex character despite the standoff-ish first impression I got. Yeah, it's a pre-emptive pity vote basically. --AuronKaizer! 23:44, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
  2. This is a no brainer. Sokra is actually epic. By far one of the most underapreciated characters in the series. Oni Dark Link 19:21, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Knows how to change the seasons, so he's cooler. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:22, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Sokra was an awesome character in Oracle of Seasons, even though he didn't do much, he was still awesome.
  2. I love Oracle of Seasons!

You know, I like the irony of the fight choices when looking at this one and last one. (I'd say "week" but... Oh well)

I didn't even notice that until the second anonymous Japas vote pointed it out... Jedimasterlink (talk) 05:35, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

I know... (not my vote but) now I've been seeing Rosa and Sokra forming a band together. And I haven't even played that game.

I kind of want to see a creepy battle, like ??? vs Tingle. That would be the battle to see!

I know that I am not allowed to suggest a fight, but is it possible for someone who can to please suggest a fight between Doctor Borville and Lake Scientist?

Um. I know a user should be the one to say this but you can't suggest fights for someone else. Sorry, but that's the way it is. By the way, the "register" button is at the top right. And if you don't want a username for some reason, well then, okay, just know you can't suggest fights.

Per the Anon above me. It's against the rules to suggest fights for someone else. And I think that's already happened. – zzi 14:13, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

Week 150: Lulu vs. Rosa[]

Lulu
Winner:
Rosa

"'Rosa!'"
12.5 < 14.5
Rosa
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! Zeldapedia brings to you the landmark 150th Battle Spectacular in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAGE!!! To celebrate this, we've gathered two of the most famous musicians in their respective homelands. But rather than having them perform their newest hit singles (or their latest electronic noise, depending on who you're asking) we have them duke it out in a battle to the DEAF! (The cost of this pun constitutes of 90% of our allotted budget, please applaud accordingly.) For those of you who've been living under a rock (Old Men notwithstanding), here are their respective discographies:

In the light blue corner, from the western Great Bay of Termina... we have a member of The Indigo-Go's, the biggest-selling (and, in truth, t'only) all-Zora musical group in existence, renowned throughout their country for their "deep-sea sound." Daughter of the lead singer of a previous iteration of the group, her vocal stylings are legend. However, she came afoul of events beyond her control and lost her voice; when it was restored, her singing voice awoke a giant turtle guardian who would lead the hero to Great Bay Temple, wherein he defeats its evil guardian, restoring peace to her homeland. THIS. IS. LUUUUUUUUUUUUULUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

In the light red corner, from the subterranean secret land of Subrosia... she is the biggest pop star in all the land (that is, a land which takes about 2 minutes to traverse from east to west) and is easily told apart from her fellow Subrosians by her distinctive robes and fashionable red bow, and the Master Key of Subrosia, which she carries with her at all times. She is the one who inadvertently shows the hero the way into Subrosia; later, when she goes on a "date" with the hero after he provides her with a gift, he uses her key to open a locked door in the Temple of Seasons. THIS. IS. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Ticket prices have been severely increased for this festive occasion, as our two divas' rider lists of provisions included such luxuries as trained (but not too trained) choirs of mezzo-soprano clownfish, vintage 300-years old Chateau Romani, and TVs permanently broadcasting re-runs of Perfect Strangers. But we trust that our fans will turn up in droves anyway because of the loyalty our unyielding punctuality with posting new fights have garnered us. Crickets... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

Votes for Lulu[]

  1. Donde esté una buena cantante...!!! /what a great singer...!!!Cleff (Cleff) 15:53, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I rather enjoyed the Great Bay story arc and, during my first playthrough, actually felt a lot of pity for Lulu over Mikau's death. Jedimasterlink (talk) 05:27, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  3. MM, need I say more? Well, I will. She's also a Zora, AND because of her, you have to go and do some awesome sidequests, including beating up some pirates AND fighting some giant snakes. Not to mention even her newly hatched kids have musical talent. Ike 04:12, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
  4. I love MM and Lulu, I think she's really pretty and has a great singing voice. And I don't even know what game this 'Rosa' person is from. --Xgamer92 (talk) 14:35, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Wow, zoras are the coolest... EVER. Thats why I give my vote to lulu. ???e? s????
  6. Zoras for the win Doubleg2x (Doubleg2x) 11:31, October 31, 2011 (UTC)
  7. MAJORA'S MASK! Lovin' that game. Trill&Plumm 02:22, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
  8. Going with the underdog. Besides, I haven't played a game with Rosa in it, so I don't want to look like a band wagoner or nothing by voting for her.-- C2 / CC 01:00, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

  1. i'm only voting for lulu because she's from majora's mask and she appears to be the terminian counterpart of princess ruto, the sage of water.
  2. I really kinda like the Indigo-Go's version of the Ballad of the Wind Fish.
  3. Never played the Oracles.
  4. Lulu as i havnt played or heard of the other one
  5. She is the mother to my babies! Err... well... at least to the guy Mikau which spirit I posses XD
  6. She is a zora and I don't know who the other one is.
  7. she is a great singer and I pity her for loseing her voice. Rosa was just a girl that helped a little if you can call it help.
  8. I like Zora more than I like people that I dont know.
  9. Go Lulu!!!

Votes for Rosa[]

  1. She's just so wacky, weird and off-kilter; I love Rosa. I imagine her musical output to closely resemble that of Björk, only with more cowbell. As much as I like Lulu, there are other video game characters who bear that same name she, in certain ways not wholly unrelated to bodily shapes, does not live up to. That, and she's a bit too much of a damsel in distress for my tastes. And her singing sounds like chiptunes. Not impressed. --AuronKaizer! 03:13, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Was going to vote for Lulu since she's a Zora and I don't know anything about Rosa, but...Subrosians are sweet and Lulu really doesn't have much to her. -Minish Link 03:57, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Lulu might be a Zora, but since I've actually PLAYED a game with Rosa in it, she wins. By a mile. --Galaxia9000 (talk) 16:59, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Subrosians = win. But really, at least Rosa doesn't almost ruin the Carnival of Time...... that didn't actually happen as scheduled but would have had it not been for more catastrophic events... --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 19:33, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
  5. I love oracle of seasons so far I am in the 7th dungeon but any way she's awesome I find cuz like she's got a key that can open doors and plus she says "like" so I find that makes her even more awesome so she gets my vote.User:LoZSuperFan1
  6. She famous in an alternate world to an alternate world to Hyrule. That's better than having your great uncle's niece's friend's second grade teacher being Lincoln's nephew's great granddaughter's friend. --Birdman5589 (talk) 15:57, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
  7. I chose this one, because it was more interesting to me that they introduced a random blob and they called it Rosa. Way to go Rosa. --User:LordSword
  8. I love Rosa cause she is an interesting character and she beat up a Tokay. Give her an Audience! --User:Bongo Bongo the Shadow
  9. Gotta go with the Subrosian on this one. Playe a lot of OoA/OoS when Iwas growing up. Fun character, and side-missions with her. --User:Boomerangman
  10. Rosa rulesTj hoffman (talk) 00:24, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
  11. Subrosians look like Jawas, and I think that Shy Guys look like Jawas under their Mask, so, in the words of the 1st anonymous voter on this fight, Subrosians FTW! User:ShyGuyFan 10:54 AM, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
  12. I have never played the oracles but Rosa looks funny--Failing (talk) 18:12, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
  13. Hmmm... swims in water or swims in lava, this IS a tough choice --Hydropanda (talk) 18:21, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Subrosians FTW!
  2. See my vote for Week 147 (cuteness). And, on a side note, thanks to the person who finally switched the fight out!
  3. Love the oracle series. Got kind of annoyed by Rosa, but I still love her.

I looked at the suggestions and I was surprised; unlike Weeks 50 and 100, there were no "epic" fight suggestions, not that it matters, just surprised. Edit: This is still an epic fight. Yay Rosa!
