Week 159: Eagus vs. Orca

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AAAAAAAAAAAAAND GENTLEMEN!!! We bring you here today to see the one hundred and fifty-ninth fight in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! As the combatants this week enjoy training for sword practice, we recommend you bring a sword. In the tan corner, we have a new contestant to the arena, hailing all the way from the land of the sky, THIS. IS. EAAAAAAAAAAGUUUUUUUUUUUUS!!! In the purple corner, we have a contestant who has been here a few times. With his large fan base, THIS. IS. ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Votes for Eagus Eagus is a cool guy. Now granted, few contestants, be they living creatures or frozen cubes of ice, can stand against Orca, but, dude, c'mon. Err, actually, I have no really good reason to vote for Eagus over Orca, but his particular style of beard is completely righteous, and today being Beard Day (something I just invented) Eagus gets the edge over him. And he seems like a good guy, with a more admirable control over his temper than Orca with his impression of a dying meso-american tigerbear in heat. WIN. I didn't really like Wind Waker, plus Eagus just seems cooler. He gives you your first sword and teaches you how to use it + defense techniques once you got a shield, and his role doesn't stop here. He's also "useful" for a sidequest with an amazing reward: two Pieces of Heart and a gigantic wallet! I didnt Like Orca, I dont know why, Eagus is much cooler, he also seems more laid back, I dont like Old man Nipples, also Skyward Sword is Much Better than Wind Waker This guy is awesome. The other guy is scary is has a potbelly. he is cool and the other guy is creepy Eagus was cool and helped me out more than Orca. Plus I love Skyward Sword so Eagus gets my vote. I don't like Orca. NUOOOH!! You just can't beat that old man strength! Orca has far more experiance. Having practiced fighting since he was young, he has battled many beasts during his travels on the ocean. The greatest threat Eagus has faced in teaching new students at the knight academy. I don't know why — I'm just drawn to voting for him. Maybe it's because he's on the right? Anyway, my instinct is telling me to vote, so... Orca is so badass, if you get 1 thing wrong, he's like "YOU SUCK AT SWORDPLAY! GO DIE IN A HOLE"!!!! which is why he's awesome, coz he's scary! I dislike Skyward Sword. Have you seen the huge harpoon on his wall? Too many SS fights. Potbellied people FTW! Who the hell is the other guy, again? Orca is an awesome name. Plus, Orca allows you to fight him and you can get a piece of heart from him, plus it's fun trying to get hits on him. You can't do that with Eagus, and all he does is demand some pumpkin soup.

Week 158: Bellumbeck vs. Nabooru

COOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! As the combatants this week enjoy treasures, we suggest you hide all valuables that you have with you, lest these treasure hunters try to take them. In the armor gold corner, we have a treasure hunter who has been transformed by the dark powers of the World of the Ocean King. Trying to defeat the hero with all its might, THIS. IS. BELLUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCK!!! In the desert sand corner, we have a legendary Gerudo with a lust for treasure. Transformed into a monster by the surrogate mothers of the Demon Lord, THIS. IS. NABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Which one of these transformed treasure hunters will take the gold? Votes for Bellumbeck I really have to vote for Bellumbeck here. I haven't fought Nabooru yet in OoT, and Bellum was an interesting villain. Also, he was just awesome actually trying to fight Bellum. Ike 19:27, February 12, 2012 (UTC) While the Iron Knuckle for Nabooru was cool and all, this boss was original and the only one of its kind, whereas there were multiple Iron Knuckles in OOT. Plus Linebeck was a much more developed character than Nabooru, which made this battle even more epic. -[1] 20:19, February 12, 2012 You know, I was actually planning on voting for Nabooru when I came here, but I actually have to go for Bellumbeck here. While Iron Knuckles themselves are way better than Phantoms, I just found Linebeck's possession and battle more aesthetically pleasing somehow. (Plus I love his theme) I like the fact that he abandoned his cowardice to stab Bellum in the tentacle! That said, it's not why I voted for Bellumbeck. I voted for Bellumbeck because it is a well-made boss, it forced a reaction out of me much more than fighting an underdeveloped gerudo character did, and it was just plain fun! I know some people complained that the time-stops were difficult to do at all, let alone with the right timing, and that was a bit of a problem for me as well, but it wasn't enough to turn me off the entire battle. Win for octopus+coward. Nilkadmin Nabooru is too easily beaten with a full magic bar. Iron knuckles have long been my favorite enemy in the series, Phantoms, not so much. That plus Nabooru herself was a half decent character and the aspect of fighting an ally came across more effectively by not leaving it as a final boss. She would also have been ally worthy of killing had the game a higher rating. My instinct was to vote on the right (as usual). I haven't exactly gotten to this point in the game, but anything over a fight that doesn't even stick out in my mind. Iron Knuckles for the win. Their armor is so shiney! And they have a huuuge axe. Bellumback is more annoying because you have to stop the time and all, but just because you cannot beat him any other way, doesn't make him better. And besides, which evil entity calls himself Bellum? That's not threatening at all! This fight angered me so much! Be it was a good challenge, and it made me feel very proud when I won. OoT FTW! i loved this fight but i hated the bellum one it was annoying a crud and was impossible to do Iron Knuckles are epic. Never played WW. The DS games wern't that good, and OOT was da bomb, sooo... yeah... OoT is probably more fun. I haven't even played any Zelda DS game. PS #5 the other thing is in PH not WW. IIIIIRRRROOOONNN KKKKNNNUUUCCCKKKLLEE!!!!!!!!!! Bellum/Bellumbeck is likely one of the least interesting villains in the entire series, and with Phantom Hourglass being infinitely the low point of a typically spectacular franchise, this one's a no-brainer. Sage of Spirit REPRESENT. At least, Nabooru did look evil when sealed in her knuckle armor, and she turned out to be very helpful in the game. Bellum was a real joke. Nabooru was a mini-boss that was hard. Bellum was just a fail.

Not sure if that would be classed as a problem though. I also find the line "transformed by the dark powers of the World of the Ocean King" a bit jarring. Not only does it have the words of the almost in succession but I'm not sure how accurate it is to refer Bellum that way. Even so it's still probably better than what I could do. Week 157: Ghost Ship vs. Sandship

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AAAAAAAAAAAAAND GENTLEMEN!!! We bring you here today to watch an unforgettable ship battle between the two scourges of the two far off and completely unrelated seas in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! We'd prefer if you ignore the giant eyes and large unprotected time stones as their damage may make the fight boring. In the scenic foggy blue corner, we have the treasure hording, princess kidnapping ship that was destroyed, but has been rebuilt for this special occasion. Sporting rustic dungeons, fancy Reapling guards, and even a Dead Man's Volley Deck, THIS. IS. THE. GGGGHHOOOOOOOSSSSSSTTTTTT SHHHIIIIIPPPPPP!!! In the sandy and ruined corner we have the former LD-301N Skipper's ship, rebuilt for this special battle. Contrary to its name it does not actually sail on sand. Sporting sand pits, bones, and puzzle rooms only passable by manipulating time, THIS. IS. THE. SSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDDSSSSHHHIIIIIIIIPPPPPPP!!! Which one of these oddly never-moving ships will be today's victor? Votes for Ghost Ship The ghost ship's final boss didn't involve tentacles. I have played both games and the ghost ship was more fun and exitind espesaly the dead mans volly This is just unfair if the Sandship wins. Sure, Skyward Sword may be better than Phantom Hourglass, but this is the Ghost Ship we're talking about... a main part of the whole story of PH... Sandship was just one temple. Tetra was captured on this ship!! The game BEGAN and ENDED on this ship!!! Its more important to PH than the Sandship is to SS!!! And the puzzles where as chalengling as spelling (for me, anyway). The music was cool, and you (finaly) get the bow in this dungeon! Plus, I've never felt so epic climbing a ladder. ... :) never played Phantom Hourglass Though the dungeon itself was tedious, doing the same run over and over again, I liked the idea of sailing in a desert. That pirate captain robot guy was pretty cool too, though not really that hard. Easily the best dungeon in the game for me (though I know many people would disagree). The item is awesome, and using it is even better. The music is ranked high in my favorites for the game. Also, I can't even really remember the Ghost Ship. The Sandship had the best mini boss in the game and was arguably the best dungeon in the game overall. The reaplings were annoying, and the Cubus sisters froze my game like 3 times :( Phantom Hourglass sucks. period. Well I am a fan of Lanayru, so I choose this. The only weak point in the Sandship is Tentalus's face. Besides that, almost everything was perfect. Plus, the idea of traveling in time for both past and present... It added some complexity. Which is nice. Sandship is easily the best dungeon in Skyward Sword. Ghost Ship was plain annoying... The Sandship was probably the best dungeon in skyward sword, and the ghost ship was the worst in Phantom Hourglass, and thats saying something...FOR BOTH OF THEM!!

COOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! This week's duel is that between two of the most loved clown characters in the Zelda series. Let's meet them now. In the lovely pink corner is a round, happy-go-lucky fellow residing on the colorful wonderland that is Fun Fun Island, where he hosts a very fun minigame. However, before our hero can play this, he must help this man recover his lost, beloved Party Wheel, which has fallen to the Surface. After he has done so, our hero can continue playing the game (for a small fee), and getting a perfect score will reward him with a Piece of Heart. Happy to see you, THIS. IS. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOODOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! In the hot pink corner we have a flamboyant man who operates a minigame in which our hero grabs helpless Cuccos and uses them to glide across Lake Hylia to attempt to land on a high platform; it is here that he can obtain numerous prizes, including 100 Rupees and a Piece of Heart. Week 155: Barinade vs. Bilocyte

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AAAAAAAAAAAAND GEEEEEEEEEENTLEMEEEEEEEEEENNNN!!! We bring you now the one-hundred and fifty-fifth duel to the death in the TEMPLE. OF. COOUUUUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! This week's fight is between two deadly, parasitic and ridiculously controlling fiends found within the stomachs of sea creatures. Brace yourself and let's meet them now. In the purple corner we have an enormous anemone found deep within the insides of the legendary deity Lord Jabu-Jabu. On the hero's quest to obtain the Zora's Sapphire, he plunges within the creature's stomach to find the missing Princess Ruto; however, she has lost the Sapphire, and requests our hero find it. On his path to do so, he finds this bio-electric creature and battles it, finally defeating it and returning Lord Jabu-Jabu to normal. Bio-electrifyingly exciting, THIS. IS. BAAAAAAAAAAAARIIIIIINAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!!! In the light red corner is an ocular-oriented organism that has found its way into the sky spirit Levias. On our hero's journey to uncover the missing parts of the "Song of the Hero", he visits Levias, bringing an offering of Pumpkin Soup; however, the delicious treat has no effect, as Levias is possessed by this creature. After our hero defeats it, Levias is returned to his calm state. From the inside of a sky whale, THIS. IS. BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILOCYYYYYYYYYTE!!! Which one of these controlling creatures will succeed in their plight? Will one possess the other? Will they possess you, dear reader? And will we find out why it is they so much like whales? That eye thingy was not hard, as soon as I figured out how to land on the wind fish' head.. Barinade for the win!! I vote for Barinade because he is the only boss that really made me mad. and because i have no idea who the other is. No clue who the other guy is. Barinade was really easy but still fun. Never played SS sooooo as much as this guy pissed me off when i fought him BARINADE BARINADE BARINADE (ahhhhhhhh) *Domin8or* Barinade is my favorite boss from OoT actually, and I have never heard of the other guy. Oh and message to whoever keeps track of this Temple of Courage, UPDATE THE FIGHTS EVERY WEEK, not every month! the Beatrux and Fabulously rich family were fighting for like more than a month. Barinade all the way. OoT is my fave, and I'm only part way through SS. Practically didn't sleep last night because I didn't realize how late it was while I was playing. But still Barinade. Jabu-Jabu was one of my fave dungeons. Plus Ruto's a babe. I don't know the other guy but Barinade was one of my favorite boss battles in OoT. Someone who I don't know or someone I love? Yeah, my choice is pretty clear here. YES, I actually know who Bilocyte is. But he was kinda too easy for a boss fight as you've traveled this far. I mean, The Imprisoned's second battle was way harder than this! Plus, Barinade knew to protect herself with a rotating jellyfish barrier and it was a great question of timing. For Bilocyte, you only had to swing in the right direction, and SOMETIMES (still very rarely), he was trying to trick you. BARINADE ALL THE WAY!!! NOTE: I'm really sorry if I already voted, I have a really bad memory, but BARINADE FTW! I have no idea who the hell the other guy is. Barinade was definitely the best boss of the first three, to beat him you have to constantly move, and focus. Bilocyte makes you think before you swing, then learns to soon hide parts of himself from attack, when Barinade is just the classic "cut the ropes with the bommerang then hack away" system that reappers later in the Wind Waker when you battle Kalle Demos and Puppet Ganon. Bilocyte has my vote. Bilocyte pissed me off a hell of a lot more than Barinade. This boss is from Skyward Sword! That's an automatic WIN in my book. Also, you have to think about the angle of your sword before yo strike. Also, Jabuu-Jabuu just grossed my out! Lets see... inside a wierd whale-like thing that doesn't help you at ALL, or a cool battle in the sky, followed by a fun, quick fight to help a spirit who, in turn, will help you? Hmmm, I wonder? I love the location. Fighting in the sky and on a whale? Awesome. Only thing I don't like is that you have to use Scrapper to activate the boss fight. I would have to go with Bilocyte because I'm currently in love with Skyward Sword. Also because the thought of fighting a giant parasite inside of and even bigger fish deity's stomach didn't appeal to me. Whale deities are much better:-).
