Week 164: Prince Komali vs. Prince Ralis[]

Prince Komali
"'Prince Komali'"
Prince Komali

12 > 10
Prince Ralis
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!! Once again, it is time for a Battle Royal(e with cheese) in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAGE! This week's combatants are both young princes with more than their share of trouble at such a tender age. Their royal credentials will be read out loud by a servant of the court, henceforth.

In the gray corner is the fledgling prince of the Rito residing on Dragon Roost Island. The holder of the Pearl of the Goddess that the hero seeks in order to defeat Ganondorf, he is reluctant to fulfill the Ritos' traditional ritual of maturity as a result of the recent violent outbursts of his people's guardian deity, Valoo. Inspired by the hero's courageous journey into the island's enemy-infested dungeon, he is able to finally accomplish the aforementioned task and grow his wings; at a later point, he swoops in and saves Link from certain death. THIS. IS. PRIIIIIIIIIIINCE KOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALIIIIIIII!

In the brown corner is the youthful prince of the Zora of Hyrule. When his people's lands were attacked by evil forces, he was sent on a perilous journey to warn Hyrule Castle of the enemy attack; however, he was severely injured en route. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, his mother the queen was executed as an example to those who would defy their new leader, Zant. The prince's injuries proved too great for the Castle Town doctor to remedy; Link escorted him and his rescuer to Kakariko Village to receive healing from the shaman there. Once healed, he helped the hero on his quest by providing a trinket of his people; eventually, he came to grips with his responsibilities and took his place on the throne of Zora's Domain. THIS. IS. PRIIIIIIIIINCE RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAALIIIIIIIIIS!!!

And now, a big hand of applause for both our princely fighters! LLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRREADYYYYYYYY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Prince Komali[]

  1. I honestly liked WW better and don't birds eat fish? Green Rupee (talk) 21:35, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Well Ralis' most notable moments involve him being unconscious. That and I actually didn't mind Komali's needless depression. Oni Dark Link 21:43, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I feel like Komali was an wasted character in a lot of ways, because they give him character growth but never really go anywhere with it. He had potential as a character, though, which is more than I can say for Ralis, who was extremely forgettable in a lot of ways. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:02, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I don't really remember Ralis that much. So Komali wins by default. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 22:06, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  5. Komali is one of my favorite Zelda characters, and he actually saved Link. Kingkillerbee (Talk) 16:26, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Hated dragging Ralis around in the carriage, and Komali is alright. -Minish Link 00:05, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
  7. I liked Komali better. Not many more reasons past that. Mr kmil Spin Attack (A Link to the Past) 12:32, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
  8. Just prefer Wind Waker, to be honest. SadisticZora3169 (talk) 10:20, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. First anon vote. I have no idea why I'm voting for him, other than the fact that my instincts tell me to. Oh yeah, and that the other guy was in a coma for half the game or something, more or less.
  2. Prince Komali just seemed to have more of a character than Prince Ralis did. I mean, Prince Ralis is alright, and he has a pretty sad story, with his mother being killed and all. But he knew what had happened, and understood, and was able to be brought to terms with it (or would as time went on, anyway). But when Prince Komali shows you the flower he picked for Medli, and how it's wilted now...it's absolutely heartbreaking. Medli's alive, but...she's just not coming back. And she didn't even get to tell him goodbye. Also, the figurine of him is really cool.
  3. Prince Komali had more of a role in the actual game than Ralis. Plus, the part in TP where you have to protect the carriage was pretty much my least favorite part of the game.
  4. Didn't Ralis almost die? At least Komali saved you a couple of times. And he was soo cute when he was holding his pearl, the little brat:P
  5. Prince Komali is adorable, and i'm not to sure who the other guy is...
  6. Komali didn't really strike me as engaging or even likable untel the scene with the flower which was the idyllic, picture perfect, cutesy, utesy, symbol of a childhood romance and it;s absolutely tragic that he won't see Medli again. Ralis, although he lost a beloved parent which is very sad, never showed a lot of depth and seemed overall half baked, like he was missing sprinkles or icing or something.
  7. Both contestants seem kind of uninspired this week, but I guess that Komali is the better character.
  8. I have several reasons to vote for Komali, the first of which is that he's adorable. Emo flower-loving bird mailman of the sea? 'Nuff said.

Votes for Prince Ralis[]

  1. I'm biased towards Zoras. Jazzi 21:26, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Komali just annoyed the H-E-Doublehockeysticks out of me, even though he turned into a lame Deus ex machina that had no build-up. Not that I have a lot of love for the Prince of Androgyny over there, but... lesser of two annoying princes. I hate princes in general... just spoiled brats, the lot of them. Who needs 'em? --AuronKaizer! 21:36, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I feel worse for Prince Ralis. He lost both of his parents. Rusl 33
  4. Twilight Princess was my first, and favorite Legend of Zelda. Paradox64 (talk) 19:20, June 2, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I like Zora's a little more than Rito. Both are cool, but at least he just gave me his earring instead of making me fight a giant centipede. Ike 17:57, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. I did this because he's behind in votes and he's one of my favorite Zoras.
  2. Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game, and i haven't The Wind Waker.
  3. i just like him more i dont have to explane my self
  4. I hate both contestants.
  5. Fish or bird? Fish or bird? Fish or...
  6. Komali made me go through an entire dungeon, when he could've just given me the pearl. And I dont like Rito. (That means I DONT LIKE MEDLII!)
  7. I just like fish.
  8. Komali was SO ANNOYING! He wouldn't give me that pearl! And there's just something about him that I don't like besides the aforementioned fact. But to tell the truth, I don't remember anything about this zora prince. Whatever! The zoras are cooler anyway.
  9. he gives you the earring. yay smelly fish
  10. Ralis didn't make you go through an entire dungeon just to prove that you're worth listening to. He gets my vote

Peanut Gallery[]

I've noticed that less people have been voting in the Temple of Courage lately. Kingkillerbee (Talk) 16:29, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

I suppose it's because Skyward Sword has been around for a little while now. Just throwing that out there. -Anonymous (Talk) 23:35, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Week 163: Ivan vs. Mido[]

Ivan
Winner:
Ivan!
Ivan

11.5 > 8
Mido
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!! It's time, once again, for another battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGEEEEE!!! This week we have two boys(?) who are in charge of other children and attempt to bully the legendary hero Link.

In the blue corner is a student at Mrs. Marie's School of Joy. He often skips class and wreaks havoc around Windfall Island with his gang, although some members disapprove of him as leader. After Link beats his gang in a game of hide-and-seek, he stops causing trouble and apologizes to Mrs. Marie. THIS. IS. IIIIIIIIIIIIVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

In the green corner, is the ageless, self-proclaimed "boss" of the Kokiri. Due to his pompous attitude, many dislike his leadership, but he continues to bully the other Kokiri even after the Great Deku Tree's death. However, he eventually changes his ways and inadvertently apologizes to Link for past actions. THIS. IS. MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Prepare yourself for this bully beat down! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

Votes for Ivan[]

  1. You don't assume a leadership role over Link and leave the ToC victorious. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 21:26, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Little known fact: Ivan's last name is Hamsanvich, and his parents, living in an age before ultrasound, decided upon the name of Ivanna should they beget a girl. Also, he's awesome to the point where he and his gang could be viable MOTHER characters. It was too little, too late, Mido. --AuronKaizer! 21:35, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I liked Mido's character arc while it lasted, but at the end of the day both it and the character himself did very little to stand out from the rest of the characters in Ocarina of Time. Ivan, though, was a cool, fun character that I wish we'd seen more of. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:48, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Everything already said here. Also, let's face it, Ivan looks way cooler than Mido does. -Minish Link 22:14, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  5. This guy is pro. Jazzi 22:35, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  6. "Mido thou hast been a disappointment to me why art thou such a failure." - Great Deku Tree Green Rupee (talk) 23:15, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Ivan gives you a pice of Heart, and also indirectly give Link a Joy Pendant. Mido doesn't give you anything, really. Kingkillerbee (Talk)
  8. Ivan is better. He's from Wind Waker. He even runs his own gang. That other guy is some random fairy child. — CandD (talk) 23:49, May 23, 2012 (UTC) CandD
  9. Mido made me want to kokiri his head off, where as Ivan actually made me mad, but at least his doesn't do the crab walk everytime you near him without a stupid sword and shield!!! -Hero of twilight44 10:05, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
  10. I just liek Ivan more. Paradox64 (talk) 19:14, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. He's really something if I actually vote on the left. </kidding> I remember this kid, if only for that nice blue outfit and the fact that he becomes sort of a stalker. Now, in that great game the other guy's from, who is he again...? Wasn't he whining about something?
  2. Ivan would probably win this fight, he'd annoy Mido with his annoying voice, oh and he can climb up stupidly high trees, and can boss round a boy (link) who's basically twice his height. Mido is just Mido...
  3. Mido sucks, nuff said

Votes for Mido[]

  1. Wow I'm actually a little surprised at the way this is going. I've always enjoyed Mido's character while Ivan and the Killer Bees as a whole never really stood out to me as interesting characters to be honest. Mido is also named after a Zelda II town and anything Zelda II related is instantly awesome Oni Dark Link 23:56, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
  2. I honestly saw Ivan and his gang as annoying little brats, especially Ivan himself. Mido isn't any better than them at first, but at least he has some actual character development. (A TWW character getting beaten by an OoT character in that department...? What is this madness?) Jedimasterlink (talk) 07:10, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
  3. No question. Mido is 2 funny. Rusl 33
  4. M-m-m-m-mido! He's the original big boss of the youngins and deserves the victory despite his lack of spotlight. Kapodaco! (talk) 14:40, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I actually like Ivan better as a person, but Mido gets character development. And that's worth a lot in my book. Though I get confused if the ToC is meant to compare actual awesomeness as a character or their development. Um. --Naxios10 (talk) 17:15, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Ivan was so anoying. It made me not not to go to *instert island name here*, because I hated hearing his little voice... "YEAAAAAAAH..." *shivers* Mido's apology was much more touching, and made me tear up a little. OoT FTW!
  2. OoT>WW 'nuff said.
  3. Mido had actual character development.
  4. I don't get how anyone could vote for Ivan. An unknown little kid from the Wind Waker of all games. Now Mido from Ocarina of Time, A character who is there from the start of the game to the end of the game.
  5. I<3 kokiri and never played other game.
  6. I know this guy. And that other guy was seemingly mean TO SOMEONE WITH MY NAME!

Peanut Gallery[]

Wow, I would've thought the voters would be on the other side. It goes to show that you should expect the unexpected. Not like I'm complaining or anything. Also, to the other anon voter, "not not" is a double negative... Typo, perhaps? Anonymous (Talk) 22:31, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Looks like that person meant to say "not want". Jedimasterlink (talk) 07:12, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Week 162: Groose vs. Linebeck[]

Groose
Winner:
Groose!
Groose

19 > 10
Linebeck
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!! Zeldapedia brings you the hundred-and-sixty-second fight in the TEMPLE. OF. COURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGEEEEE!!! Our two contestants this round are two overly brazen and arrogant men who hide their true cowardly nature. Let's hope they don't run away from this showdown!

In the orange corner is a student of the Knight Academy in Skyloft. He hopes his skill in this fight as well as his red pompadour will help him finally attract the attention of Zelda. THIS. IS. GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!

In the blue corner is a treasure hunter who explores the World of the Ocean King. He is wishing to get a big payout from this showdown. THIS. IS. LIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECK!!!

Let's all cross our fingers in hope that by the end of this conflict, these two manage to grow as people. And now, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

Votes for Groose[]

  1. Groose is one of the best Zelda characters, ever, in one of the best installments of the series. Linebeck was the best thing in one of the worst. Add in the fact that while Linebeck is entertaining and surprisingly deep and whatnot, he was still too cartoony to take seriously. Groose is just... the opposite of that. Whatever, he makes it work. GROOSE! --AuronKaizer! 20:06, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Linebeck was a good character and everything, but his character arc unfortunately still suffers from Phantom Hourglass's atrocious pacing issues, not to mention the fact that the generally bland atmosphere of the game dampened down his charm. Linebeck is a pretty cool guy throughout the whole game, but his charm stays at a pretty constant level throughout the whole game — he does change throughout, but doesn't really get "that" moment where he really shows you how far he's come. They tried to do it with him asking for his ship back, rather than innumerable riches, but after the long Bellum fight and the general game fatigue, it was hard to take him seriously. Meanwhile, Groose has all of that and more. You get the distinct idea of his character growth, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see him actually come back from him "bully antagonist" role in the beginning, when such characters are often discarded when real villains appear. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:23, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I like both, to be honest, but Groose has better hair. Paradox64 (talk) 21:23, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I like Linebeck, but come on, guys, Groose. -Minish Link 21:41, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  5. GROOOOOOOOOOOOSE --Jazzi 22:00, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  6. There really isn't anything to add. Jedimasterlink (talk) 00:12, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
  7. i've never played PH, and Groose has the better character. And, with Skyward Sword, your plot was horribly underdeveloped, but there is still the fact that everything refreshes itself, including your original hatred of Groose. ~ Zeldas ganon (talk) 14:18, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
  8. Never played Phantom Hourglass, nor do I care to. Groose. Kapodaco! (talk)
  9. I loved Linebeck, but I have to go with Groose. He has an entire video game series named after him! (Although every game in the series has a typo. They all say Legend of Zelda instead of Legend of Groose.) In all seriousness, Groose had a great story and went from being one of my least favorite characters to one of my most favorite. Ike 20:21, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
  10. It's already been said. TheWolfsFriend (talk) 06:48, May 15, 2012 (UTC)
  11. Groose won me over with that scene where he first sees the surface. I still can't forget the face !! :'-/ User:Hero of twilight44

Anonymous votes[]

  1. Groose is dumb. Making him cool.
  2. Gotta love Linebeck, but come'on, GOTTA LOVE GROOSE!!!!!!! Whooop Whoop!!!
  3. Linebeck only joined Link to get treasure, not to help anyone, but Groose is a boss! (later, like when he helps old Impa)
  4. The Legend of Groose: Skyward Hair.
  5. I Love Groose. He Is Awesome!!
  6. Groose is better, better theme better hair
  7. GROOSE, GROOSE, GROOSE
  8. He's bloody Groose. What more needs to be said?
  9. Groose was my favorite character since the beginning of the game! He's just so fun and the way he likes Zelda so much is just adorable! Groose all the way!
  10. ME GROOSTA
  11. I really really really like Groose because he's just. more awesome? flamboyant? less annoying? Plus I've actually played a game with him in it. any ways, Groose better win!
  12. Groose gets my vote (Because of his Skyward Hair and true kindhearted nature, plus Linebeck being a treasure hunter bores me.)
  13. Groose gets my vote just because I laughed at him so hard and I've never played PH
  14. I've never played PH but Groose is such a nice character. I hated him at first because he was so ANNOYING, but he grew and became a nice guy, actually doing something useful after finding out that it wasn't him destined to save Zelda. NO offence, but better than most people.
  15. Groose is unbelievably annoying. Therefore: I vote for him because he has a lot of characteristics and is one of the most interesting hometown-antagonists.
  16. Me Groosta!

Votes for Linebeck[]

  1. I'm not a big fan of Groose. I find him annoying to say the least. Linebeck on the other hand is one of the few things right about PH. So he gets my vote. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 18:27, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Well, Groose really did make me change my opinion of him.... but I don't like his personality. Just not the sort of person I talk to. Linebeck, however, has a sort of awkward charm. Mostly, I am amused by his embarrassment in being nice to people. --Naxios10 (talk) 16:30, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Gold ship! --Hydropanda (talk) 15:43, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Link could not finish the game, or even do the first dungeon, without Linebeck's ship. --Kingkillerbee (talk) 10:52, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I'de rather not take an adventure back to Groose land, even though I've played neither of these in the series.— CandD (talk)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. He has that nice blue coat, he owns a ship (yeah, I know flying is an easier mode of transport than boating, but this ship can be made of solid gold), he's on the right, and I just don't really care for Groose in general. So... That's my vote.
  2. I don't really like Groose and Linebeck is a lot funnier. Plus, you can actually fight him (although he was possessed).
  3. I agree with anonymous above me, I really don't like Groose. I don't even like Skyward Sword all that much. And come on, a bully with rediculous hair vs. a treasure hunter? Go Zelda game before the stupid 'real' time-line and in the time Zelda games weren't rushed so much..
  4. I love Linebeck he is one of my favourite companions of all! Go Linebeck!
  5. Linebeck has a much better theme, a ship and a grave!
  6. Groose is stupid.
  7. Linebeck all the way.
  8. Man linebeck theme is catchy! da-da-da-duh-da-dee-dee-dee-da-da-da-da-da-daduh-doo-doo-doo! or something like that...
  9. <!Linebeck's the man! His grandson is awsome!
  10. I loved skyward sword and hated phantom hourglass. I'm also terribly confused.

Peanut Gallery[]

Wow. Compared to the last two fights, this one isn't that one-sided. -- Kingkillerbee (talk)

Yeah. Currently 12 > 7 for this one compared to 4 < 16... Either one could still win. Whereas the winner was already decided last time before I even voted. (I voted reasonably early on into the fight.) - Anonymous (Talk)

Week 161: Skeldritch vs. Stallord[]

Skeldritch
Winner:
Stallord!
Stallord

4 < 16
Stallord
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!! Zeldapedia brings you the hundred-and-sixth-fourth installment of the TEMPLE. OF. COURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGEEEEE!!! Our two contestants this week are two skeletal bosses, whom the hero fights in areas containing large pits of sand.

In the blue-grey corner is a helmet-wearing, skeletal creature guarding the Sand Temple of the southeastern desert of New Hyrule. THIS. IS. SKEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLDRRRRRRRRRRRRRRITCCCCCCCCCCH!!!

In the camel-colored corner is the resurrected skeleton of a great dragon that guards the Arbiter's Grounds in western Hyrule. THIS. IS. SSSSSSSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLORRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!

And now, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

Votes for Skeldritch[]

  1. Second week in a row I've fought a one-sided battle, but whatever. Stallord? Way overrated. Skeldritch was probably the coolest Spirit Tracks boss—I mean, Fraaz? Give me a break. However, I actually found out the definition of "eldritch" almost the day before I found out his name was "Skeldritch". That was kind of cool. —Ceiling Master 20:10, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
  2. No love for the boss that attacks you of his own free will? --Hydropanda (talk) 21:03, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
  3. After watching a video of the Skeldritch battle, I decided that this one is the more challenging battle. Stallord is fun, but overrated. Jedimasterlink (talk) 21:26, April 16, 2012 (UTC)

Anonymous votes[]

  1. This is how the fight would go. Skeldritch would send an endless barrage of boulders to Stallord. Stallord tries to bring up as much staltroops as it can, but the boulders go through and crush Stallord. The end.
  2. I pity the poor spine.

Votes for Stallord[]

  1. I have to confess, I don't even remember the battle against Skeldritch. That would ensure a loss against 'most any other boss, but considering this is Stallord - one of the very small number of boss fights in the 3D installments that is consistently challenging and entertaining despite several replays - it simply has no chance. It gives you a taste of the power that chiropractors possess, which is why you should never shirk on your chiropractor bills. --AuronKaizer! 22:17, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
  2. I do think the Stallord fight is extremely overrated, but considering I don't remember any bosses from that other game... Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:32, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Skeldritch has a cooler name, but I do remember some kind of fun spinner stuff from this one. -Minish Link 23:15, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Twilight Princess > Spirit Tracks. Not that Spirit Tracks is bad, it's just... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jäzzi (talkcontribs)

  6. Stallord's battle was more fun. Skeldritch's was just kinda annoying. Ike 22:30, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
  7. STALLOOOOOOOOOOOORD! Kapodaco! (talk) 01:54, April 17, 2012 (UTC)
  8. I'm not Stallord's biggest fan, but this is definitely a more fun battle. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 00:33, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
  9. This one's easy, Love Twilight Princess, Hate Spirit Tracks. STALLORD!!!!!--Tiero (talk) 20:39, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
  10. You use sand to kill Skeldrithch, and Stallord lives in it, plus Stallord's last stand head can fly and shoot fire...Skeldritch can...um...bite you? With his weak stop in plain sight. USER:Roke56
  11. It's a stinking dragon people and that's what? A skull on a cannon seriously? You people better be glad it didn't have wings or wasn't covered in sand or you would be dead in 2 seconds Also the spinner and Stallord was one of my favorite things in Twilight Princess. And skeldoric didn't have a body! Stallord turns into a flying skull that shoots fireballs Herobrine 999

  1. In my hazy memory of the other battle, there was some difficulty. Also, rocks. That's really it. I remember this fight more clearly (spin spin spin), and while I'm tempted to go for a preemptive pity vote (no offense meant to the voters on the other side, which is currently... nobody...) I do like the few opportunities I can get to use the Spinner when there are next to none. It helps that this is on on the right too... well, just kidding there... and here is your first anon vote.
  2. I just like Stallord better. If I need a reason, it's because I don't like Skeldritch's hat. I just don't.
  3. This battle was fun, and I don't remember Skeldritch.
  4. Um.........
  5. Stallord was in an abandoned prison and was a freakin disembodied floating dinosaur head.Him for the win.
  6. Never played other game + awesome skeleton + awesome sword = ... AWESOME!!!!!!
  7. Think of how the two creatures have been while still living.. One mighty dragon-creature vs. a spine.. Wow, tough match..
  8. well in one corner you have a boss from a game that noboby really remembers on the other you have a boss form one of every bodys top 3 zelda games no contest

@Anon under Skeldritch, then Stallord flies around Skeldritch and shoots fireballs/magic until his helmet comes of, then Stallord wins. Ike 19:43, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Anon 8, "everybody's top 3"? It's not everyone's favorite, or even top 3 game. TP certainly isn't in my top 3. I did like this fight though, don't get me wrong. -Anonymous (Talk)

^This. TP is definitely not in my top 3, either. And yeah, Stallord is probably more fun. I just deliberately chose to vote based on criteria that would allow me to vote for Skeldritch (finding a boss more difficult than Stallord is not difficult). Jedimasterlink (talk) 01:02, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
I honestly didn't think Stallord was hard. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jäzzi (talkcontribs)

Week 160: Carnival of Time vs. Picori Festival[]

Carnival of Time
Winner:
Carnival of Time!
Carnival of Time

20 > 8.5
Picori Festival

And now for something completely different. It's... the TEMPLE. OF. COURRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! Every once in a blue really, really scary, red-eyed moon, the Temple of Courage takes a break from pitting characters and enemies against each other. The odds of this occurring are very slight, but your eyes do not deceive you. This week, we have a battle against two festive events, important to their respective countries in different ways. They have both printed eye-grabbing brochures, which will be read to you in the center ring at this very moment.

In the orange corner is an event celebrated every year in Termina, a parallel dimension to Hyrule. Come the time of the event, Clock Town is overrun by tourists, as a great structure is built to let people access the Clock Tower. Festival-goers carve their own colorful masks and pray to the protective gods of Termina, in order to ensure a fruitful harvest for the year to come. Artists from all over Termina come to Clock Town for the celebration as well, and any wedding that may occur is considered another sign of good fortune. However, when the hero arrives, the festival (and indeed the entire world of Termina) is threatened by an impending calamity. THIS. IS. THE CAAAAAAAAARRRRRNIVAAAAAAAL OF TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!

In the green corner is a festival celebrated every year in the land of Hyrule. The festival is held to honor the Picori, a mysterious race that aided the people of Hyrule in the past. In Hyrule Town, prize contests are held, sweets are sold (and consumed) by the barrelful, keepers of lore tell the younger generations of the legends of the Picori. And at Hyrule Castle, a sword-fighting tournament is held, the winner of which will be allowed to touch a sacred keepsake of the Hero of Men. However, one year, a sorcerer named Vaati participates in, and wins, the tournament, seeking to obtain the vaunted Light Force he presumes to be hidden within the chest that holds many of Hyrule's monsters. After Vaati turns the Princess of Destiny to stone, the hero must undertake a quest to defeat the evil sorcerer. THIS. IS. THE PIIIIIIIIICOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRI FEEEEEEEESTIVAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!

Which of these joyful celebrations will receive the public's favor? That is up to our astute voters. And now... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAAAAAAAAAAAAAADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Carnival of Time[]

  1. There really isn't much grounds for comparison here. The Carnival of Time is so delicately interwoven with the plot of Majora's Mask and has so many layers to it, it's like the danish to Picori Festival's donut. It's the one I would go to, given the chance. Awesome musical acts, more interesting stories to hear, and all the so-not-alcoholic milk beverages you can stand. There's also the fact that the Minish don't seem to care that they're being celebrated, unlike the Four Giants whom I presume you would not want to anger since they can crush your insolent bones into mush in seconds flat, with the emphasis on "flat." In the very, very niche Top Ten list of Great Gaming Festivals, Carnival of Time is top of the class. --AuronKaizer! 01:12, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  2. The Carnival of Time is actually important to the Majora's Mask plot...Unlike the Picori Festival, which is just sort of used as a catalyst. So I guess the Picori Festival is important in a different way, but the Carnival of Time still wins because it plays such a large and integral part in the game (after all, it does take place throughout the whole thing, while the Picori Festival only has a few minutes of screen time). -Minish Link 01:45, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  3. While both options are considerable, I just feel the Carnival of Time has a more important role to the story of Majora's Mask than the Picori Festival has with Minish Cap. Plus, time is money, and I like money. Kapodaco! (talk) 04:43, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Basically what's already been said. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:49, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  5. After I finished Majora's Mask, I felt really happy, because I felt like I'd saved the Carnival. Minish Cap... I didn't like it that much. Paradox64 08:45, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Even with most of the acts canceled the lead up to the Carnival of Time still encompasses over 60% of the side quests in the game. Now that's something worth celebrating. Oni Dark Link 09:47, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  7. The Carnival of Time is something the whole of termina comes together to celebrate, unless of course an apocalypse is on it's way. But Even Then People still stay for it!--MarcusFenix2000 (talk) 11:55, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  8. Per Minish --Abrahamlinkoln 16:52, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  9. Obviously this. When I played MM, I actually wanted to be in Clock Town. Even with the Moon falling, the atmosphere seemed awesome. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:29, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  10. Without question. The Carnival of Time is simply the more entertaining event, and its role in the story is much more significant. (I actually have played TMC up to the end of the first dungeon. The fact that the Picori Festival no longer has any significance is a bit disappointing.) Jedimasterlink (talk) 21:40, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  11. The Carnival of Time is when an evil moon with a creepy face falls down, and destroys everything. A happy festival where all you can do is chase a princess around can't beat that!Mthompson(talk)
  12. Much more important to the game. I'd rather see all of the stuff that caused the carnival to be important than to actually go to it, so I didn't miss not being able to experience it BECAUSE YOU SAVE IT AND EVERYONE WHO WENT! And they have alcoholic milk. Ike 04:58, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
  13. No contest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jäzzi (talkcontribs)
  14. Hmm... intricately intertwined with the storyline and sidequests versus 5 minutes of screen time and absolutely no significance whatsoever. TheWolfsFriend (talk) 20:06, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
  15. Woo, carnivals. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 21:07, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
  16. No comparison, there's just so many elements revolving around the Carnival of Time, the first moments of the game are priceless because of the hype created by the carnival added to the pressure of the moon falling over your ass. Although that damn worker that keeps hammering a tower is so annoying!--Trill&Plumm (talk) 21:48, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

  1. carnival much more awsome than festival
  2. Not only is this event important to the whole game, if the very eve of it did not happen on the final day, if the moon hit even a day later or sooner, Termina would e epically doomed. That is because the top of the clock tower (where skull kid and the oricana are at at the begining) is only accessible on that exact date, and afterwards, anyone still waiting on there would be knocked off (assuming they tilt the clock back after it's done), and the moon can only be entered from that tower on the last day when it is close enough to fly to without dying in space along the way.
  3. Hardly a choice. I havn't played MC. I love MM. The carnival of time definitely wins.
  4. This one is actully important to the game CARNIVAL OF TIME FTW
  5. IMHO, MM is just a better game
  6. Majora's Mask RUUUUULLLLLEEEESSSSSS!!!!! (plus never played other game but...)
  7. The Canival of Time wins OBVIOUSLY, the have the EVIL Moon on their side. If they fought to the death and it took longer than three days the Moon would kill them ALL. So relly the moon would count as the canival of time.
  8. Thinking about it logically, The Picori Festival is a long standing national tradition. The story behind it has fallen into misuse with the seriousness of a fairy tale to the Hyrulians. On the other hand, The Carnival of Time is a multi-faceted celebration. It dabbles with religious as well as festive meanings. On top of the regular celebration, the Skull Kid has made the destruction of Clock Town set to happen by the last day of the three day festival (which is two days longer than The Picori Festival). As a national holiday, every store seems to be closed during The Picori Festival while in Clock Town the shops and bars are open for regular hours and receive a regular flow of customers. Outsiders and foreigners are welcome to both events, yet only The Carnival of Time solicits to their needs by having retail businesses open for service. Consider how many actions and activities stem from The Carnival of Time. So many things occur because of it taking place-and it is a annual event! Consider what it would be like to have events such as the ones that occur in Majora's Mask were to happen EVERY YEAR! That is one intense holiday celebration!

Votes for Picori Festival[]

  1. Being a festival, at least the Picori Festival is happy, unlike the "Carnival" of Time, where the few people that actually show up are just waiting for their moon to crash into their land and destroy everything. —Ceiling Master 02:02, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  2. at least you actually get to go to this one and experience it, with the carnival of time you just leave before actually seeing and interacting with it. sure theres the end cut scene but that isn't the same -Devdude (talk) 21:53, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  3. See above for being able to actually participate in it. --Birdman5589 (talk) 22:18, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
  4. The only complaint about this one I have is that Zelda didn't choose the heart container prize. --Hydropanda (talk) 02:39, March 29, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I khow we are fighting a losing battle, but the history behind the Picori festival is far more richer and less M. Night Shyamalan-esque the the Festival of Time. Longhorn Velez (talk) 22:22, April 4, 2012 (UTC).
  6. So many Kinstones, so much time. Solar flute (talk) 16:11, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

  1. I dunno, I rather not organise an event where everyone is destined to die.. The mere thought of it all.. Only downside to the Picori Festival: after that Ezlo starts his scolding:P
  2. I know the Picori Festival does not take as much place in MC as does the Carnival of Time in MM, but at least it DOES occur. Not like the Carnival of Time, which never occurs because the Moon crashes on Termina. MM is just too frightening to get a real Carnival, so the Picori Festival gets my vote.
  3. The Picori Festival actually sets Link's new adventure in motion (in my eyes) whereas the Carnival of time does not really start the game too much.
  4. Losing fight indeed but man does it make a good first impression. I so wanted to just jump in and see the festival for myself.
  5. Good to be back; this is an event where you have the opportunity to meet my favorite character from one of my favorite games in the series. Win.

Hmmm, think i know who's gonna win this one --MarcusFenix2000 (talk) 12:27, March 25, 2012 (UTC)

See, this is really hard to fathom. For me anyway. 14:07, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
