"The young Miss.. is waiting for you up above. We've reached the Forsaken Fortress."
— Zuko

Zuko is a recurring character in the Legend of Zelda series. He is a member of Tetra's Pirates, and he holds a telescope that is similar to Link's.

Appearances[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[]

Zuko is first introduced in The Wind Waker as a member of Tetra's Pirates. One of the three "short" pirates in Tetra's crew, Zuko has a red scarf/hat on his head, a blue-and-white striped shirt, the traditional skull belt, brown pants, and boots. His freckled face is framed by neat sideburns, and he carries a short cutlass (pirate-sword) on one side. His other side holds a telescope not unlike Link's, backing up his description as a lookout. He would appear to be pensive, as he rarely speaks.

Interestingly, a man resembling Zuko appears in a painting in Hyrule Castle depicting the Royal Family of Hyrule, all of whom bear likenesses of all seven of the pirates.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures[]

Zuko appears during the Navi Trackers mini-game in the Japanese release of the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass[]

Zuko reappears as a member of Tetra's Pirates. He is seen at the beginning of the game and once more at the end, as Link and Tetra are reunited with the crew.
